There's definitely something here - you have a great idea! I should have done a sneaking game myself, just had a different idea initially and had to run with it. Pretty cool concept.

Straight interpretation of the theme, but with some cool elements. I love the drone tool - That was a nice touch to help me plan out my next move. I wish I could have crouched behind some of the boxes, but at least I was able to outrun the guards. Clearly a lot of scope, and I appreciate your execution.
Oh, and I'm not sure if the floating van was normal :) Sneak.png
@kylethecoder Thanks, I feel like it could be something. But I just ran out of time.
@defrag Yes, that van was normal. I intened to make it look like it was on a Jack. So it could be a place to hide. But time said otherwise. Thank you for playing it.
"YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE!"
I had a lot of fun with this game! It's a surprisingly strong foundation for a stealth game with the hiding spots, the noise-making patches, distractions etc. I was surprised!
The voice acting was a lot of fun, it got a smile out of me. *Especially* the guards.
The drone mechanic was really neat! It has a lot of potential I think, but I found it unnecessary to use. It also broke on the second level because of the ceiling.
Really great little game though, I enjoyed it! Would've loved to play a third level. Keep up the great work!! :D
Dang, a functioning 3D stealth game in the compo - super ambitious! I'm impressed by what's here. Had fun with it! Clear enemy AI, solid controls, etc. No complaints, really.
Didn't have to use the rocks and drone at all. Very clear openings in the patrols, and it's easy to outrun everyone anyway.
Got a chuckle out of the hiding spots in level 2.
Nice game! Good graphics and audio.
Completed the game with 2 deaths. One on each stage. First when I accidentally jumped, which sounded the guards. Then on the second stage when I stunned the wrong guard and he caught up to me.
It helped me with the narration in the begingi of each stage. I didn't try the drone mode.
Dang, you got a lot of mechanics done in the time frame. The drone camera was cool. Well done!
even at just 2 levels, this game is very impressive & got a couple good chuckles out of me :) i'm no good at stealth games but saw it to the end. also love the visuals & overall presentation, it's very earnest!
I'm so sad that i can't play this game on my computer but i put my friend to stream to me because i really wanted to know this one. Amazing work!
This is one of those games that once played and made I have a feeling how you did those things yet I wish I did it. Very Very well thought out in terms of everything OTHER then rocks. Felt useless as an item as there was always an alternative.
Everything else has its purpose and enjoyed every minute of this. Have given a lot of reviews but this is the first perfect 5 star so far for me
@tyegamedev Wow, thank you. Your words mean a lot to me. I understand how rocks are useless. I made them before many of the other mechanics and these other mechanics indirectly duplicated the main purpose of rocks, which was to draw the guards attention. It is still one way of getting their attention from a distance to another point. But you could just run away.
@max-amaden I am glad you enjoyed the voice acting, I felt getting a system implemented to tell the player what guards were doing was paramount. Although I hate hearing my own voice.
@pdotjpg Super ambitious is right, as I am still recovering from the sleepless weekend. I am glad you found it solid, I was fighting bugs right up until the end. I think I need a break in a "Zen" booth.
@carld that's pretty good, to complete it with only two deaths. I realize now making the jump a noisemaker, without telling the player, was probably a bad decision. As for your second death, that was intentional as the guards start a search pattern after being stunned, telling other guards to search as well. Each one gets a grid of points and moves to the largest patch in front of them of points. Keeping track of all seen points. So they will hunt you down eventually.
@cinterre I am glad you liked the drone, camera. I understand there is a bug with the second level, but I had fun implementing it. Yeah this jam was a total sprint from the start to the finish.
@sevla I am sad to hear that you can't play it. Is this because webGL is not supported on your platform. I can always make another build for another platform. I am glad that you were interested enough to have a friend play through it. Your interest means a lot to me.
@tinykidtoo if you build it for windows i can play :) but you don't need to bother just for me haha. If you do, just update here and ill play! My computer is weak so some browser games don't work nice on browser, but the same games for desktop works ok. My own game is for web as well and it almost crash at the end after i build. Maybe i do need a graphic card, idk.
Really cool game! Was a bit janky but that's understandable considering the massive undertaking of a game in just 48 hours. The guards' voice lines were really funny. "Press F to fail to open the door" was also chuckle-worthy. Great job!
@sevla I have added a windows build to the Ludum dare game page. terror-in-transit-windows-64.zip. Hopefully this works for you.
@jakobthequizguy I am glad it made you laugh, I always try to sneak in a bunch of dumb jokes.
Damn, man! Nice work! The tutorial with voice is amazing. I'm not a english speaker but it's pretty clear and audible. Also the mechanics is pretty hard to master and fun to play.
@sevla I am glad you enjoyed it, thank you for playing it :)
@tinykidtoo small details like that really add to the experience, it's great :D
Short but sweet! Love seeing 3D stealth games in these jams, almost nostalgic in a way. Great mechanics too, didn't bother using the drone but it's cool that its there! Rocks were very handy as well:)
I was impressed with how many little things you thought of to make it feel immersive! For example, the guards yelling "I've been attacked" after you stun them was more realistic than I was expecting from a jam game. The "lean" mechanic was also a pretty neat idea.
Wow, this is crazy ambitious! The voice work, the visuals, the mechanics, the level design - I didn't think such a deep game could be made in a weekend! I really like the drone view idea - I wish I had more opportunities to use it, it worked well, and just felt cool to operate.
I had a lot of fun, switching between short sprints, and tense moments peeking behind the curtains. Well done!
@ugly-robot Thank you for the feedback, it sounds like you got the intended experience. I wanted some tense moments between movements and hiding.
This is very impressive!! Really like that you added voice acting in there, and the stealth mechanics work great! Nice work!!
Cool game. I like all the details you've put in with the stealth system. Well done.
I liked the style and graphics of your game :). well done!
A lot of things have been said before, but I want to give special credit to the leaning mechanic. Being able to poke your head around corners works a lot towards immersion and really sells it for me! One suggestion/critique I have is that instead of having so many mechanics, just focus on a few central ones and explore what they have to offer (for instance, I never found myself actually using the drone-view, though I do like the visual of the drone following the player around). But as is, it is still a really well done game, especially for a COMPO!
This was really cool! I loved the implementation of voice acting in the game which I hardly see in game jam games. I also like how the guards say different things based on what I do or what they experience. That's a great attention to detail. And all this being done for the COMPO makes it even more impressive.
I'm very bad at stealth games, so here is my strategy:
1. Hide somewhere next to where the guard patrols
2. Wait for the guard
3. Try to sneak behind the guard and fail
4. Rush the guard's back to stun him and run to the door!
Tastes like Thief. Pretty tasty. Controls were a bit annoying on the web version because ctrl-w closed the tab. Otherwise really nice.
3D games are always difficult to make in 48hrs but liked the idea. Still good what you achieved!
fun stealth game for a compo. wish it had the third level!
Nice job!
it was a good stealth system and I had fun playing :D
