Nice idea. One of my favourites so far. Still needs a score display and a gameover text.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD40 → Leaning Tower

Nice idea. One of my favourites so far. Still needs a score display and a gameover text.
Just added them, thanks for the advice!
Funny! Love phys toys.
Thanks!
I loved it, especially once I realized that I needed to press a or d multiple times instead of holding them down.
Really nice entry, good job!
Fun game! Fits the theme well and has nice graphics. I liked the music too.
Very good idea!
Fun! Simple and elegant, and the music’s really catchy. Nice work.
Great idea - I love it!
It plays really well, too!
A super fun game and it is very easy to play. Both music and graphics is really good. I would have liked a end goal and perhaps a bit more to do. But overall a very well made LD game. Well done.
Simple and fun!
Rather unintuitive (I didn't understand the tower's behaviour), tower almost doesn't move until around 45 seconds where suddenly one more person makes it twist by 45 degrees in a second from which it can't be recovered, but it's fun until them. Nice audio, I'll have to get it out of my mind now :) . You can probably add bonus points for squashing people. Also if you could make the tower jump, I'd really have liked for it to be able to do some flips.
@gistnoesis, thanks for the constructive criticism. I could have tuned the gameplay more certainly. I like your idea of squishing people and doing flips, they could have been their own scores, hah.
**Pros:** Interesting game mechanic. Clean sprites and UI. Pretty graphics.
**Cons:** Game is not quite balanced (pun intended); takes too long until it becomes challenging and becomes difficult too quickly.
I would consider making the tower rooted inside the ground rather than bouncing around cut off at the bottom. Perhaps make the movements smoother as well. The game is clean and I've encountered no bugs so far, so good work on that.
Nice graphics, fun game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 40 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fz5gIdXHSCQ
@jupiter-hadley Thanks for the review, great video!
I like your game! The art looks nice and unique, and the musique feels right with the game. Good job!
Thanks @sozey, I really like the art style in your game, reminds me of Katamari Damacy.
Simple, quick and fun game. It may be a bit slow at start, but soon it get more challenging and entertaining.
@brookzerker thanks for that hint, had no idea what I was doing wrong until I read that. If anyone's played my game, you could guess that I enjoy physics games. So of course I approve!
Fun little game, very creative take on the theme. I had soemthing similar in mind the first time I heared it. Like the music aswell :)
It gets easyer the more there are.
At one point, the tower flew out of the screen and the game over never happens I had to refresh the page haha.
Guys, quit pushing my building over! This is a fun game. Well done.
@satanos Yes, this is a "known issue" for sure, haha.
Simple but interesting, made me smile!
Simples mas interessante, me fez sorrir!
Very creative take on the theme! Awesome mechanics also
Creative and fun, good job!
Cute game! It is one of those games that is simple and good because of it. I found the game satisfying to play and the calm ambience makes it pleasant too! I could see adding a few features to this game for some added depth and replayability and it being a decent mobile game! Nice work.
Fun little mini game! The music is quite catchy too! Good job!
Just played the game, it's a really funny idea, however the game haves some bugs(My tower felt out of the game and it didn't went to game over). But beside the bugs, the movement of the tower is well balanced, you should have added something that indicated what each person does to the tower and why you need to rebalance it. The graphics are okayish, but you did well to come up with a coerent looking style. The music however is quite likely and you don't get tired from listening to it, but maybe you should add some variation in it. The sfx however could have been turned a bit down for the game over as it was quite loud. Maybe add some sfx for the walking tower when he moves or when you click to move. The ui could have some polish, try out textmesh pro in unity for better text or add a background to it so it's easier to read!
I enjoyed the couple of minutes I played the game for, and I understand the hard work needed to create something like this, especially alone!. Our team also worked hard to create a game for the jam. You can check it out [here](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/jazzy-beats)! :whale:
A fun minigame, although I don't think you can hold down A or D which would be nice.
@robinhoodpt Thank for the constructive criticism, I always appreciate it when people point out areas of improvement. More explanation of the gameplay makes sense to include, and I agree with you that the tower falling over sound is rather loud (although I was going for comedic effect for better or worse) and that more sound effects could improve the experience. Thanks for recommending Textmesh Pro, I'll look into that for cleaner UI. I'll check out your game now and rank away! Thanks for playing!
Nice mini game for compo
Nice little game! One thing: it's the tower of Pisa, but the background is Rome! (I'm from Italy )
Simple, creative and funny: congrats! I enjoyed it a lot. The main problem I've found is that the difficulty is not well balanced, since it's too easy at first and becomes too hard fastly. But good job overall ;)
@nickzangus Haha I'm sorry it's not historically accurate. Perhaps in this game's universe the Tower of Pisa was moved to Rome, hence it's instability.
This hit the theme really well. Short and nifty, challenging too. Like the background song.
Well, that's one unstable tower if I ever saw one. The mechanics really fit the theme, and the premise was very well executed.
There's really not much to say in here though. It's great for a compo game, but it's so short that even trying to find stuff to talk about it a bit hard. If anything, I'd say that the movements of the tower fell erratic at times. As in, past a certain threshold, the tower would immediately be shaken past a point of no return regardless of the player's actions. At least, I felt that way. Still, it made up for a short and entertaining entry.
If you ever decide to upgrade on this, consider making a mobile build. It'd fit fantastically there. Well, with not much else to say, [in behalf of my team](twitter.com/whalesandgames), great job again on creating such an unique game! :whale:
@moski Thanks for your constructive criticism. The gameplay could definitely be tuned better as you mentioned, but I hadn't thought of making a mobile version, I'll have to think about that. Thanks for reviewing the game.
I included your entry in my compo review : https://youtu.be/WCYF7ixLX8k?t=303 it's in french but don't mind to ask me for the translation
@satanos Hey, thanks a lot!
I really like the gameplay and graphics, and I find it funny how the tourists move with the beat :) I do agree with many people here that the difficulty is way to easy in the beginning, and then quickly becomes too difficult. But the game is still great and worthy of a good review! :D
I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. Sometimes simple is best! Well done.
