I like the idea of this game, however the gameplay was not very engaging to be honest. Even with the timer set to max speed, it was taking too long for time to pass. I made it to day 2 (time 1700) before I quit, so I didn't even reach the client/summoning stage of the game, which was a shame.

Suggestions: - make the summoning events more frequent - let the player know from the start which 'summoning skills' they should be levelling up - perhaps add minigames for each of the stat-recharging tasks. For example, when you eat, you have to put together ingredients and cook for the correct time. For video-games, they could play pac-man on a mini-screen. I feel like this would massively increase the 'fun'-factor of this game

Overall: - I really like the different drawings of the demon-pet - The game concept is interesting

This was fun! I enjoyed playing it. Some suggestions: I found I didn't play it any other way than at full speed because of how long certain things took (like sleeping and summoning events). It would be cool if the game had the option to automatically speed up some of these longer events. This is a great start, though!

I missed some sounds but that might be a windows problem - other than that i liked it :3 If you had any chance to fix the sound on windows i'd like to return to this.

Cool game! I think the game should be 4 or 5 times faster to be less boring because they are a lot of time where the player do nothing.

Love the remake of a tamagotchi with a demonic twist, and very cute artwork. Nice concept good job :)

Love the imp character, the raising experience is very comfortable, maybe the gameplay feedback is indeed rather bland, probably due to the slow time passing. Anyway, very nice try!

This is a fun idea! Great job :)

I'd also like to see an option to skip to the end of longer events (like sleeping/summoning) but I really enjoyed it. I was considering making a tamagotchi styled game but couldn't think of a way to make it work, but you did it! I think you did a great job, and this is really expandable if you wanted to work on it more. I had fun with it.

- I liked the different demon sprites - The wait is way to long, the speed up wasn't enough and I had a hard time knowing if it's on or if the pause is on - Going to sleep tanked all my bars, it felt very punishing

The gameplay mechanics in this game are so intuitive! It's like the controls become an extension of your own instincts. Plus, the art style adds a unique flair that keeps you engaged throughout. Definitely a gem worth exploring!

That's a very cool entry! As others mentioned, time could elapse faster but in my opinion it's a balance issue and balance is hard to fit in 48 hours. Overall a really good job, congratulations!

braulio-jg 2024-04-17 11:57

I like the idea a lot. As other comments said, it would be better if time passed faster and the sounds worked in windows, but a great entry!

The core idea is very nice, but as others pointed out the game is currently way too slow (even sped up) for it to be engaging. Waiting for the sleep to end takes way too long for instance, and I barely made it to the second summoning event as I could't get the demon to train the bargaining skill (never was in the right mood apparently!)

The demon's design is fun and nicely done, though. I think you have a nice project that just needs some finetuning and maybe some more content (the idea above of adding minigames is a really good one) to make it better. Keep it up!

The concept of the game is cool, i really like how vthe game looks. For me there is not enought speed in the game.

dan-allison 2024-04-17 18:36

There's a lot to like here - the art is especially great, makes it hard to not love your wee demon pal. I agree with what others are saying about the speed but balancing stuff in jams is such a hard job that it's completely understandable. And honestly I could see the game working at the same speed (or even slower) but as a background app you just check into every so often while going around your day, could be a fun way to take it. Good job here, would love to see more it in the future,

Died in my sleep, 10/10

As others have said, if the game were able to be sped up more it would be great :)

hurp 2024-04-18 11:55

Well done, really like the character design!

patrick-pang 2024-04-19 03:26

The devil version of Takuya Asako. Interesting concept.

frank-gevaerts 2024-04-24 18:33

I lasted two days!

I suspect part of it is that I really don't have a lot of experience playing this type of game (I'm too old to have had a tamagotchi!)

I think I agree with what many people have said, the art is excellent and the bits of music are nice (although there could be more), and a "skip time until you can do something" button would be nice. I fully understand that that's not there, you *want* a non-jam version to be slow real-time-ish, but for rating jam games it's not ideal :)

Very nice overall though!

snesgaard 2024-04-27 14:51

I like the concept, but also think that the game is currently very slow and not very interesting. Perhaps the same concept, but with an action point system would be quicker and more engaging.

eriku 2024-05-03 00:03

As others have noted, the progression is much too slow. Sleeping is nearly a minute in real time - too long to stay engaged. With a bit more balancing, this could have been a winner. Nice work on the artwork!
