I like the way the characters dance along with the samba. And the game reminds me of Rampage.

Charming game! Had to let a few people go hungry because they were too close with their friends, but I still managed some nice tips. Liked the art a lot.

Some people got tacos, most had a tortuous death!

I enjoyed the graphics and watching the little people fly away and scream!

My only nit pick is that its :flag_br: Samba paired with :taco:

Really interesting game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 38 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpLa_G-bsto

What a neat take on the theme, nice job!

Nice graphics and music for the amount of time :) However I think the game is a bit too slow and it's very hard to avoid bystanders.

So funny game hahahaha. Liked the idea for this LD, NICE!

kwisarts 2017-05-15 23:06

Yeah, reminds me of rampage too :p Feels a bit too difficult to avoid people and it felt a bit slow but otherwise, not bad :)

gael-philippe 2017-05-16 09:49

Really fun game ! I agree with @kwisarts in that it's a bit difficult to not kill any one. Good job !

Made $17 in tips. Thankfully gnome medical bills are small, so they don't cut into earnings too much.

The big guy's art style seemed a bit different than the little guys, which was a tad jarring. The only real gameplay issue I noticed was when transitioning screens you don't know who may be immediately crushed underfoot when you start the next screen.

I liked how when you hit a gnome, the were just relocated. That kind of let you plan a path to moved gnomes into 'better' positions that didn't impede you as much. I also liked having to do a quick cost-benefit analysis for crowds to determine if I would net a tip if I went barging in to deliver a taco.

Obviously a taco cannon would be a more lucrative venture...

I love the delightfully silly concept you've got here, and the gameplay *should* be simple enough, but I found that I would continually bump into non-taco-desiring people, even when I wasn't touching them. It seems like the hitbox is a little too large for the giant? It also took me a little bit to figure out that it wasn't going to be possible to avoid hitting those people. I like the basic idea, and I think it could be really great with a little more polish.

The character designs are pretty cute all around. Some nice details on the giant, with the protruding gut and everything.
