Amazed at the amount of stuff you managed to cram in over two days. Great work, would be cool to see it rounded out with the potion making. I couldn't find any gold sadly.

it's got some rough edges but there's a lot of groovy stuff going on :) the customer collection aspect is super neat, i think if there was a tighter use of space it would be really special.

the people animations are great! and the music is fantastic ^-^

@johnnysix Thank you for playing! Yeah it is a little bit too much, lost time for playtesting it properly. :( I uploaded a bugfixed version - you could try that one :)

@kyavi Thank you also for playing! Thanks for your suggestion to tighten the space! I actullay did that in the new bugfix version, as it was unnecessary large amount of unused space.

@rhewid awesome! i think being able to see the customers from the back room helps a lot ^-^

Pretty cool game, I'm like the idea about crafting a potions businessman :D Well done!

Definitely one of the most polished and complete games I've played so far in LD44. A few technical things that could be improved: * *Please* don't make me install. It's such a pain. It should just be an exe that runs when you click it. * Fullscreen mode please! * I found some of the fonts were too small.

Anyway, great work!

@serious07 Thanks! :)

@seb-jones Thank you for your feedback! - True I'll check if Gamemaker supports that! - Yeah I will consider that for future entries. - That is true, I had the problem where either the small was too small or to blurry, I went with the first one. Will check on a better solution in the future.

Cool game idea, really well executed. Glad to see a feature complete game - played to the end.

Wow! Very well done. I never needed to make two of the potion types  but still, I managed to complete. Although, 4 customers were unhappy until I actually managed to do it.

With a bit more depth, this could easily be the speed running heaven :)

Great game for compo, keep up the good work.

Good one!! I liked it!. It could be a bit faster to make a little harder, I felt some Overcooked vibes. If you follow that path you can even add multiplayer! Great work

Cool idea! But a lot of the trades that customers were offering me would have actually set me back, so eventually I just used the blood pack -> health potion -> gain 3 xp -> convert to 3 blood packs loop, and won the game by converting blood into everything. The customers need to offer the player something they can't get anywhere else. But I had fun with the game!

Nice game. I liked the crafting mechanics and the element of customers. Well done.

Found a bug where after I spammed exchanging blood for a blood pack 3 times, every time I pressed F I would have to exchange 1 blood again for a blood pack, which essentially made me lose because if I wanted to talk to a customer, craft a potion, even pick berries, the exchange blood for blood pack popup will open too. Other than that though, pretty fun store management game :)

Neat game! I enjoyed making everything and keeping a stock on hand for customers, however eventually I realized satisfying customers wasn't particularly useful and just harvested my blood into healing potions, and gave customers a "free" potion (which seemed to give a *much* better reward...) when necessary, until I won. Also ran into the bug others mentioned where I seem to get focus stuck on an interactable, so whenever I press F I would do that (first I got stuck on a bush, so I could press F anywhere to pick a berry, later stuck on brewing a potion, which was also useful ^_^). I found the raw resources spawned too quickly, would be better if they were slower so I would have to occasionally go and check on them and harvest, instead of just going there and rapidly pickup up everything over and over until I had as much as I wanted.

That was incredible! Super solid game, great concept and I love this pixel art haha. Congratulations on the incredible work !

shunaky 2019-05-15 23:01

That's an incredible game, It needs some polishment, but it's a great game!

Congrats, bro

Amazing game, especially for a compo. Controls are intuitive, music fits the mood well and I really like the particles/animations. The only recommendation from me would be to stick to the same pixel resolution for all the sprites as it looks a bit better.

elemental-zeal-game-studios 2019-05-17 02:36

Nice solid entry. I enjoyed the aspect of trying to make the best use of time by balancing the collecting of all the ingredients with the creation of potions and such. Good job :)
