Really cool color scheme (reminds me of Mad World) and great music. The death sound effect was really final.. which works really well. Controls are smooth, it was easy to figure out what to do but difficult to keep track of both squares (in a good way). Only problem I had was I wasn't sure how I was scoring - I felt like I ran into a lot of circles but didn't end up with that many points.
Oh and the web build worked perfectly
trying to access my storage? what are you after?!
@thegamearchitect It's for setting save data. I'm not using that functionality, but I don't think I can turn it off.

I very much enjoyed the color scheme and the audio was quite nice as well. The gameplay is simple yet challenging which made me want to keep playing. My only concern would be that the bombs don't seem to be worth the risk of diverting your attention away from survival. Regardless, fantastic job! (and the game runs super smoothly)

Man, the placement of those enemies can be so brutal sometimes! I was only able to get a highscore of 10. At first I was trying to dodge the bullets with both the light and dark squares, but realized I only need to dodge them with the light. Wasn't really sure how to effectively use the bombs as it seems like the enemies only exist on the dark side but only the light side drops the bombs and they have an insanely long fuse of 10 seconds. I guess 10 seconds is how long it takes for a full rotation? But then how are you supposed to know the right spot to drop a bomb if you don't know where enemies will spawn in the next rotation? Enjoyed the music and sound effects. Well done.
@vykri Thanks for the feedback! Enemies actually stay spawned after they enter the light side, meaning you can place a bomb where you last saw them to blow them up when they reappear. It looks like that's not conveyed well enough though, since it's easy to not realize that the enemies you're seeing are the same ones you saw 20 seconds ago.

Definitely enjoying the minimialist aesthetic of the art and gameplay working together - and despite being simple the gameplay is quite compelling.
I figured out that the enemies stay in the same place, but didn't realise that the dark square could ignore bullets. I think having to remember where the enemies are, rather than having a persistent visual indication, makes the game more challenging and fun. Maybe there is a way to convey that the enemies are persistent without drawing them on the light side.
I think the game is a good concept. The controls were fun and sometimes I found my brain trying to watch the dark side which has opposite movement of the light side, so I would start moving incorrectly. Which is the challenge and me being a bad player. Visually the minimal graphics work really well for this game and look really crisp even if they are minimal.
I wanted to mention the frustration though with the enemies but I see others have already and your response to it. It wasn't clear that they stay spawned in the same place. Knowing that definitely helps with bomb placement. Given the time it take for the bomb to detonate, it felt pointless to use without knowing where I should place it.
Overall solid entry and enjoyed playing it.
Looks simple but has a lot of complexity! Trying to keep track of both sides was quite the challenge and made my brain hurt (in a good way) haha. Nice work!

Very nice action game. I found the day/night shift a really innovative way to implement the theme. Web build worked great for me. Out of curiosity, what toolchain did you use to convert from love to web?
Overall: Interesting idea implemented well. I enjoyed playing a few rounds but never got far. I was so focused on connecting the circles that I could keep up where enemies where. I dead often and quickly.
Fun: Difficult with too much for me to focus on at one time. That said I really enjoyed trying to overcome my limitations to play. I think with some slight tweaking this could be a very strong entry.
Innovation: Very cool idea! Well implemented! I enjoyed thinking about how everything.
Theme: the level cycles every 10 seconds. Clever.
Graphics: Simple which is good because there is really a lot going on cognitively for the player.
Audio: I enjoyed.
Humor: a bit.
Mood: mentally frantic visually average.

Wow, this was gorgeous. I played way longer than I expected to when it first loaded up. The mechanic of dropping bombs on unseen enemies and dodging things on both sides simultaneously was as difficult as it was fun!

I love how simple and straightforward the game is. A very innovative and mind-blowing idea! The day & night effect graphics is so smooth and beautiful even if it's just white-n-black. How the sprites changes their appearance in different areas is very well done. I have to say this game is challenging but addictive.
I like the clean and minimalistic graphics, nice mechanics and theme implementation, it gets a little difficult when u have some points , is a simple and funny game, nice work!
Very good game and music. The mechanics are really straightforward and fit the theme very well. Though sometimes it makes feel difficult to control the square but I think that is the point of the game.
Awesome! Nicely animated, good use of sound, great game mechanic and game flow. The game is almost too big for my screen, which I have set to 768px vertical for practical reasons. Other than that, my only feedback is to please add the text for the controls (WASD to move, E to place bombs) to the splash screen.
I am a bit curious how / if you avoid placing objects over each other.
:D Wow, I really love your music--it keeps getting better and better! I really love your game concept. The simple black and white aesthetic with the simple geometry works really really well. Your animations are excellent. The controls are great. The level of difficulty is _almost_ good, it just needs to be a little more forgiving--maybe with like three hits before you lose. It's just not as fun getting back up to where you'd died before.
The aesthetics are really solid here. Enemies spawning along with the cycling light/dark was really cool and intuitive. The reversed movement of the black square was really tough to get used to since it's opposite of all my usual gaming instincts, so I really had to focus to not die. I agree that it would feel better if you could take a few hits before having to completely restart. Good work on this!
