@tobias-froihofer Oh yeah good idea! I was just thinking about that this morning actually, it would be cool to have a little dialogue there, and also have some cars driving by on the road
And then if the cows wander into the road they stop traffic!! I grew up on a dairy farm and this happened fairly regularly if the cows ever got out
Really charming art style and the UI made it easy to keep track of resources. Also enjoyed the music a lot
Wonderful game! I was able to retire. Wish it was so easy in real life. Sigh. One thing I noticed is that I didn't really have to plant grass or make fences. I kinda haphazardly placed these down. Mostly because I kept getting the buttons mixed up so I'd place grass when I mean to place a fence. I blame Pico 8 for its button icon choices.
I wish I only needed $500 to retire! I liked the concept, although it was a bit difficult to get a grasp on for me. I think I kept mixing up the buttons. The game's style was charming and enjoyable. Nice work on this one!
Very nice game, auto layout for the fences are great, but a small nitpick about the controls: when changing direction, one should not move. It makes the layout of fences very complex as you have a lot of back and forth.
Other than that, another pico-8 game for the win ! :wink: :trophy:
Great little game given the Pico-8 restrictions. The game is fun and the music is great.
I did struggle a bit at times to get things placed because of not being able to turn without moving.

@thesnide yes, the controls for movement are definitely finicky, I'm not sure how I feel about them. I tried your suggestion, but the whole game feels very sluggish this way unfortunately, so I'll keep the same version up as anything other than a quick fix I wouldn't feel good about updating

Really nice little Pico-8 game. Some hazards could really make it more challenging, like a wolf or something that you need to keep away from the cows.

its really cool how you managed it, that it was so obvious what youhad to do, was into it really fast :P
The 10 second loop makes this really hard, haha. My cows ended up escaping ;-;
It's very cute and a fun premise. I like the wide variety of actions you have to do and the different things to take care of. Very hectic!
Phone calls are stressful but you can pet the cows!

874 seconds LOL. I got so busy in this game that my fingers still hurt :joy: The game is very fun and well made. The music is addctive. AND THERE ARE SO MANY POOPS! Oh my. I love the farm building part most, but I wish I could own the cows for longer time so that I can build a large farm and saw them running around.

These cows poop a lot! This is super cute, I loved that all the cows had different patterns. I liked to imagine they all had little colorful jackets on. Having to move to turn made assembling a fence SO complicated, though!

I would agree with some other people - it's way more complex if you are not in mechanic. Plus pointing out the right tile is quite hard to do. Initially I didn't even understand what to do. But overall a good entry and additional point for using Pico-8
This looks complex and intriguing, however I couldn't find out everything I needed to do. Apparently at some point I have to give a cow to a customer but I couldn't get it done. It would help to write more instructions.
