Neat game. The room transitions feel kind of off though.

Neat game. The room transitions feel kind of off though.
is there a way to win? I just woke up well rested and not remembering the dream. Pixel art is beautiful and the game loop works well, I just wished there was more than clocks and phones, or maybe I was just exploring wrong :P
Nice idea! The room transitions felt weird but you get used to it after a while. Explored a lot! It's really vast.
The Pixel art is very nicely done. The room transition is a bit quick for my taste but works well overall. I couldn't figure out what my dream was about though. I always woke up not remebering the dream. But the mood is quite nice with that background noice.
@resacagames Thank you for the feedback. You can interact with some furniture and doors, alarm clocks, telephones can silence the rings!!
Art, sound, level design are all great.
The movement between scenes is choppy but, that's what nightmares are like so I'm into it.
I wasn't smart enough to figure out what I was supposed to do, though. Read some books, looked at some paintings, stopped noises from happening.... Tried to talk to plants to no avail.
I just didn't get it, sorry. =( I still liked the aspects I understood, though.
Truly beautifully done. =)
I liked the mood of the game. The audio makes a good background to setup and horror game. Sadly, unless I missed something it seems like it goes nowhere in terms or gameplay or horror. There doesn't seem to be a way to win and I couldn't understand if there was suppose to be a logic to room transitions... Also what is the interphone ? I could never identify it sadly.
But as a one man project it has a great presentation, well done !
The audio and art work really well to build the concept. The exploration experience on story and scenes is well served.
A bit short and the end was abrupt, but a nice little experience :)
I have got some thoughts about backrooms...
I agree that the transitions between rooms was definitely jarring. I also was never able to figure out what the intercom was.
I really enjoyed reading all the snippets on the bookshelves, they explored different emotional/mental states very well! Nice art and ambient sounds, really smooth controls and movement and I liked the themes and subjects tackled and explored in the game, although I found myself walking around aimlessly at times and I thought it finished quite abruptly.
The art in this game is really nice and I liked the atmosphere with the rainy weather in the background. It seemed like for some objects the colliders were left after the object had disappeared, sometimes I walked into something invisible (I'm not sure though if there had actually been an object there before, it's just my first guess :) ). Overall a nice game, well done!
The objective of the game wasn't very clear, so it felt like I was just aimlessly wandering around, which wasn't great in terms of making me invested in the game, or giving me a sense of agency.
Also, like a lot of people have already mentioned, the room transitions were too jarring. I don't know if it was supposed to feel surreal and dreamlike, but exiting a room to the south only to enter the next room from the east felt more like a bug or an oversight.
I like the presentation and general mood of it, as well as the pixel art - it's very pretty! Not sure if it was intended, but the room transitions felt a little weird and I wasn't immediately sure, what I need to do. But overall, great game!
The atmosphere of the game was great, especially the rain sounds. I agree with some of the other comments that the room transitions could be smoother.
Interesting. Very atmospheric. Normally I'd say getting lost in a game is a bad thing, but that's exactly what's supposed to happen in this one.
