@zimonitrome yeah sorry about that, it seems that my Godot 4.0 beta's HTML exports don't work. You have to download the game to play it (although I was only able to test the Windows version).
Mac version doesn't seem to be working, it's just a black screen when started. I'll come back and try it on my windows computer later.
Short story, I got excited when I saw your game because I considered making some sort of food service game. You did a great job! I like the small details like you have to put the spoon back into the bowl, and the extra steps of needing to open the oven, close the oven, etc. I literally laughed out loud when I saw my final score, but I had a lot of fun. I challenge everyone after me to do better than this  2022-10-03 12_55_53-Pizza Game _ ldjam.com _ Ludum Dare game jam.png
Awesome game. I like how you can just smash the dough to oblivion lol. The pizzas have a little touch of love each time and topping placement. It's a very cute and well polished game. Great job!
So many orders to keep up with!
I think that by the end of the day, I became a master pizzaiolo! :pizza:
...where's mozzarella though? Are we serving only "red" pizzas? Shouldn't red pizzas at least have oregano?

I like the concept of doing everything with the mouse a lot, and all the small actions you have to do. It makes things really tactile. The game feels really frantic and it captures that feeling of everything getting out of control.
In terms of potential improvements, the audio is a little jarring. I also found a lot of the time I was spending was just moving my mouse between things. That ends up really changed by the size of the window, so it might have been good to, for example, pick up a larger pile of ingredients so you can only pick up each ingredient once. I think that could maintain the tactile feel of doing everything by hand while making things flow a little better.
It would also be good to have some more feedback on what exactly makes a pizza good. It was hard to know exactly what extra salami really meant.
Overall a good start to something that could be really fun!

I could not start the mac version, then I downloaded the source and tried to run it in Godot4 but I've just got a bunch of error messages :/ Might try later on my Linux machine.
I'm super sorry about the Mac version. I just got my Mac back today so I'll try to rebuild the game on it and get it running. 🤞
@linus-lindberg @martin183 guy, I just loaded the game project on my Mac in the new Godot 4.0 beta 2 and exported the Mac version. It works on my Mac so I uploaded the release both to Github and to Itch (linked above). Can you try running the game again and let me know whether it works? Thanks!
I really enjoyed how reactive everything felt and the graphics lent well to the chaos. My main complaint is not knowing which orders were going to run out first, maybe add a timeout bar above?
@mauvegrover thanks for playing! Yes indeed, the order system is a little too opaque at the moment and I did not have any time left to improve it. A timeout bar would be excellent, also I wanted to add a little preview (colored squares) to the smaller order card to give you an idea of what ingredients does it require.
@steffo haha! I did not really know much about making pizza when I started working on the game. Even the tomato base was added much later in the development and I nearly skipped it. Pizzas with only the dough and no tomato looked a little... raw.
Very frantic! I thought the difficulty was too high at first, but I started getting the hang of it after a while.
Perhaps having the rolling pin and spoon snap back to resting places when dropped would help. They're pretty small targets.
I got a segfault at the end of the day on the macOS version, alas :(
(also, for anyone else having trouble making it run: I've consistently needed to `chmod +x PizzaGame.app/Contents/MacOS/PIzza Game`, then hold option when running the app to convince macOS that, yes, I would like to run the darn thing! This seems to be the case with every Unity game I download (although my own games, installed through the Itch application, have been fine). Very annoying.
@chemicalcrux thanks for playing  and giving the game a shot on Mac. Actually, this is not made in Unity but in Godot 4.0 beta. I guess if I properly configured the OSX build and had the file signed somehow, Mac OS wouldn't complain so much about it.
I had real fun playing your frantic pizza game. I like the arts and the 8bit style sounds. Took me a while to notice the signal for a perfectly baked pizza so I served many burnt ones XD Good job!
That was fun! Reminds me of Overcooked :-) However its quite hard. Maybe some indication of which order gets closed next would be helpfull. Screenshot 2022-10-17 203204.png
Oh and thanks for providing a linux version (though I ran it with windows as I already had it started due to other games...)
Good game! Love the art style and the frantic gameplay! Good choice for the theme. Love the small details and the different tasks.
Unfortunately the game started crashing after the first run, I think when it tried to show my creations. Had fun nonetheless! Well done and kudos for using Godot 4!
I enjoyed this! The sounds are simple but they give good feedback as to what you're doing, especially when you're trying to do it quickly. Sometimes the orders overlapped too much and I couldn't click on the one underneath to read it, but then I wasn't really fulfilling orders quickly enough anyway :)
I've spent maybe too much time playing this game, but no regrets, i really enjoyed it! The art is really nice and neat.
@aligator @zubspace @jonathang @tess thanks for playing and for the feedback! It's great, I already fixed most of the problems you had in the game in the upcoming post-compo version. Hopefully released very soon...
Fun. Hectic.
Me likey.
Me likey a lot. I think my only wish would be that once I've looked at a recipe it pops onto a line or something, just so that it's quickly separated from the rest of the orders in case I need to check again.
That being said, I did NOT do well. xD I loved it though!
Stupendously well done for a game jam game, I am in awe.
Nothing is explained and you have 0 chance of actually completing all the orders but somehow that just makes this game tons of fun. Probably the first game I gave 5 stars for humor without the game even really needing to tell an actual joke.
Also who tf puts corn on their pizza?
@otterfaelure thanks a lot! :laughing:
Yeah putting the orders randomly like that wasn't a great idea, now I know. In the post-compo version the orders look like this:CleanShot 2022-10-18 at 13.58.11.gif
@ghostbomb haha thanks! :joy: All the ingredients were modelled based on pizzas offered here in Slovakia
That was fun! Thanks and congratz!
