Fun little game. Knowing the depth of objects is really difficult though. Even just a slight perspective change every now and then would help a lot.
You can accelerate to much higher speeds while in the air than when you're on the ground, which made me want to bunny hop everywhere rather than walking. I don't know if this is good or bad. Bunny hopping is pretty fun.
I am the queen of the mountain! Somehow. Wow, that was difficult at first. Got the hang of it near the end, but wasn't very good at it anyway, haha.
I somehow managed to tackle the boss's bullet hell with only one life (seemed like I got hit without getting hurt a few times, but maybe I wasn't keeping attention, and the boss bullets actually decreased the gems I'd collected and not my lives?) even tho I'd died countless times on the regular enemies! o-o
Very funky music! And a lot of pew-pew. Graphics are really nice, tho the isometric perspective was a little confusing at times when it came to certain jumps, but at least you learn where things really are soon enough. c:
Not sure if it's a bug, but in the right-hand section there seemed to be a gem behind I wall but I couldn't figure out any way to get it. I got ten gems in total.
Nice entry! Good job!

The fixed camera perspective makes the game needlessly harder and a bit annoying, because you have to guess locations and jumping is hit or miss, walk and try again. I could not get the gem behind the wall, either. A minor thing: i don't like that you can jump endlessly by holding the jump button. I'd prefer to have to press it for every single jump individually. The graphics looks great with minimal, clear geometry and your typical color scheme. The sound effects are fitting, too. I did not beat the boss yet. I'll try again later.

Hm... I just found that gem you two were talking about. That gem is actually not supposed to be there, and may very well be impossible to get.

I played the game again, this time i did not bother getting all gems (just collected seven) and went straight for the boss. I died two times before being entitled the new King of the Tiny Mountain. I forgot to say something about the music in my last comment, it sounds great!

Very fun yet difficult game. I also had some problems with depth perception in the game, but judging by your screenshot, I was suppose to play the game at higher graphics settings (simple and fast graphics settings disable shadows). The hardest part of the game was dealing with the turrets on the red platforms on the right-half of the world. The boss was actually easy, but I'm not complaining :)
it was fun - but very hard - the perspective was very hard to figure out - no idea how much health was left

I had a really hard time determining the depth of the objects. I could still figure it out once experimenting but still was a little bit frustrating. As for the general gameplay, it was fun, and you could figure out the game through experimentation, without it telling you how to win or the point. I disliked the always firing mechanic as it made an annoying noise and I felt like I moved too slow. All of these are minor and I enjoyed the ability to try your game.
Got to be the king!
It was a very hard game. But I got a lot of fun. Like everyone else, the depth perception was kinda weird so I got frustrating at times. I never managed to get two of the yellow bits. (A hidden one which I never found out how to get it, and the one in the top to the right).
The inertia was killing me as well, trying to get impulse to jump was sometimes frustrating, but I eventually got the hang of it.
Still, it was fun and engaging, and I got to defeat the big enemy too :)!

Thanks, everyone!
@jdmazz I'm not sure what you mean by always firing. You should only fire if you use the right analog stick or arrow keys. (Is it possible you had a controller plugged in and the right analog stick was pushed in a direction?)
There is a lot of polish that needs to be done so the platforming part feels smoother, even with the drop shadow it's reaaaally hard to have any sense of depth. Would love to see the concept go forward =) Gorgeous game

Gorgeous graphics. managed to complete the game with 12 deaths in the end, the easiest part was the end boss funnily enough. If I had to critique anything, I would say the platformer mechanic was the tricky part, due to the difficulty in getting the right level of innertia to navigate the blocks, especially in the right hand room. Other than that it was tough and enjoyable, all in all a great entry. Good job!
Funny little game.
found the platforming a little finicky, but great visual style, putting the whole game on one screen really adds more than you would expect
Really nice style, I love how that little self-contained level!

Well, it's no Crystal Castles, but it's ai-ight. I think it could be much better if the controls were improved. It doesn't feel like the input translates into the correct direction. But it has a lot of potential. I'd like to try this with a dual-stick gamepad instead of a keyboard and see if it plays better.
I really liked the reflections on the surfaces of the floor and walls. That was pretty cool. Well done.

Controls were hard with the keyboard, wonder if joystick would work better. Level design was pretty good, but not lining up towers as expected (like ones above wave shooters in first zone) made needlessly hard jumps, was enough actiony/platformer/puzzle without trying to gauge depth and space.
Seemed to unlock final boss before going to right side zone though? But enjoyed it until I got stuck for a bit. Would be nice to see V2 with the ability to rotate/zoom the perspective and more levels.
