Hey Great game! Hopefully it will work better on windows.

wujood 2016-12-13 02:09

Wow! Great game !! :) Controls were weird at first but the mechanics and graphics are awesome

ema1ih 2016-12-13 02:17

I had fun playing your game, I like it!

pieceofcheese87 2016-12-13 02:37

I loved it, great gameplay and a cool concept!

A really interesting control scheme, and nice, clean visuals. I'm not sure how the theme was incorporated into the game, are you climbing the room to get to the light?
The hitboxes on the spikes are pretty unforgiving, but for me the main difficulty in the game came from trying to remember which arrow key controlled which direction. This was addressed with the arrows in the bottom left of the screen, but it still felt a bit unintuitive. That said, it would be difficult to come up with another control scheme given the camera angle and the fact that the levels are designed around diagonal movement. One small issue I had was that in certain levels, it was not obvious where some blocks ended and others began (due to the isometric perspective). Additionally, while it was fun that the keys spelt out words, it was a little annoying to have to press keys all over the keyboard at once: if you consider continuing developing this I would consider having a standard set of keys which are close together to use. Overall, a fun game, and I can definitely see the potential for this being made into a more fully fledged web game or something in the future!

Loved the puzzles! Wished the keys spelled out something every level. Or do they...

Great game, great graphics. great concept. Love it!

Nice idea

arzi 2016-12-13 15:00

I like the idea! It's a very nice puzzle game and there's enough variation too.

The biggest problem for me were the controls, arrow keys don't map very logically to isometric perspective.

Cool game and idea - I liked pressing the different buttons, a nice way of getting the brain to work! Did the levels spell something out, I wasn't sure if it did or not! Good luck in the future - Potato Dog

Apart from missing the theme obidience, this was great! Would love to see more of this!

spab 2016-12-13 15:27

The general idea was to climb to the top of one room. But we had trouble visualizing this "climb" over multiple levels as one coherent room. We tried putting up walls in the background so it would look more like a room but that just looked weird.

The graphics are very eye catching and main character are absolutely CUTE! Reminded me of those old game called EDGE, but the controls are pretty hard to remember, first 3 levels I was falling down because I was pressing the wrong button.

best game of my rated entries)

I'd forgotten how confusing I find isometric key controls! That's my problem though - this is an awesome little game with very neat mechanics and a lovely mood. Really enjoyed it.

thescragglyman 2016-12-13 17:14

This was so much fun to play, I had a bit of directional blindness at first cursing you silently for not using the WASD keys for movement, but then it all became clear. Amazing entry and a pleasure to play ^^

garywiss6 2016-12-13 18:03

Great game with an awesome concept. I loved it ! ^^

sko 2016-12-16 11:49

Very cool! I enjoyed it.

I suppose technically the end of each section could count as a door and every new section a different room, but eh. c;

The animation between sections is really slick! Good job! Nice audio too.

Maybe I'm just not used to isometric games, but do they usually control like this with the arrow keys? I could never really get used to it and kept falling down. Wasn't really a problem at first since I could take it easy but then came the timed segments where I needed to go faster. Probably just my inexperience tho!

I guess it was a bit awkward that the keys I had to press were all over my QWERTY keyboard, but maybe this is adapted to DVORAK or something? Wasn't too much of a hassle anyway, but I felt like I had to locate the keys sometimes before I could move on. That may or may not be what you intended. p:

Overall very nice!

P.S. I played the web version and experienced none of the issues you mentioned in the description, so yay for that. c: Chrome on OS X, if that matters.

cpro90 2016-12-16 12:27

Great fun
specially the fact that you can make the dino fly by walking against walls when the button you stand on gets popped :D

@Avant-Marde
"I guess it was a bit awkward that the keys I had to press were all over my QWERTY keyboard, but maybe this is adapted to DVORAK or something? "

- We created this game based on QWERTY keyboards, as we use them ourselves. It was kinda the first idea forcing funny hand positions to press weird button combinations while having to focus on controlling the character.

Very appreciating everyone's feedback!

I love the transitions and the level designs. The keyboard mechanics is incredibly creative!

holofire 2016-12-18 21:01

Movement controls felt odd initially, but didn't take too long to get used to them. I really like the concept for the puzzles really got some great potential.
The environments were a little lacklustre but I loved the dinosaur!
First experience with the red buttons and I managed to launch myself, seems to happen when you push up against a wall / corner, though might make a pretty cool mechanic, just difficult to control the movement, especially with the looming threat of death, though nice that it doesn't fully reset the room, I think the puzzles could have benefited from not being able to fall off/die. Would also help enforce the one room theme. Climbing the inside of a tower rather than floating in space. Overall, pretty cool!

I loved it!
Very nice mechanics, awesome art and very cool puzzles.
Solid entry.

dssiege11 2016-12-25 14:33

Not sure how well it fits the theme but apart from that it was a really original game, really liked the mechanic of having to press keyboard buttons to raise and lower blocks! Well done :)

mrshoestore 2016-12-27 02:59

clever game, though the movement controls were a little difficult to get used to.
