I like the idea and humor. The music fit the theme.

Nice job! good work on the art and sound as well. It took a bit to figure out the game, since it is a bit complex. I would suggest trying to incorporate the beginning tutorial text into actual gameplay, so that a new player would learn each thing as they played, which would help things stick.

teamscripta 2016-12-15 18:59

Really fun game! I enjoyed all aspects of it, art, sound, graphics. All well done!

pyokoanarogue 2016-12-15 19:39

quite complex and nice. i would continue playing it but is either programming in the game or programming post compo updates for the game. also the required patience of expecting for the player movements and not having a restart button for when you want to retry instantly is kind of a bummer. still, quite daring entrance!

josearias 2016-12-15 19:47

Thanks!
Pyokoanarogue: A retry button would be a great idea to be honest... you can just press space but it take some time. A retry button makes sense

ShuddaHaddaLottaFun: We thought about the gameplay tutorial but we ran out of time :(

Cool concept. I find it difficult to understand what to do and got a little lost with the control scheme, but it was really fun to play.

tompudding 2016-12-15 21:55

Utterly brilliant idea, and it looks good and sounds great. It's fairly complicated gameplay though, you may want to ease us into it a bit more

reflextions 2016-12-15 23:57

Cool idea! Got a memory leak error and the game froze.

mrfield 2016-12-19 18:36

I love how the music gains that extra oomph when you succeed, a beautiful detail.

The graphics were incredible! I loved the style of the game.
I felt the gameplay was, while rather difficult and takes a bit of getting used to, very fun.

A wonderful entry, guys.

samt2510 2016-12-19 18:44

Really well done with the humour and the art it looks and plays really well :D

tboi-team 2016-12-19 20:34

Really cool idea! Music and art are nice and fitting. I found the planning mechanics a bit hard to use because the buyers dont have a clear movement pattern (at least i didnt notice any). But overall, nice entry!

bodsey 2016-12-19 22:55

I like the idea and the art is nice, but I'm not sure about the controls... Wouldn't it be more practical to use the mouse to select and modify the traps directly?

geck0 2016-12-21 00:07

Nice idea!! I like the theme implementation ^^

isg 2016-12-26 12:42

Cool!

rodobodolfo 2016-12-28 13:01

Nice idea but the controls were a little confusing. The graphics were nice and the audio was very good especially when you complete the level and the extra layers come in.

eemmbbeerr 2016-12-28 14:49

Art, sound, idea, all are great. This has potential!

If I had to improve upon it, I would make a clear "start turn" because starting the massacre occasionally felt very clunky. And if I failed, I couldn't just skip back to the plan that I already had, just mistimed starting so including 2 quick reset buttons: "abort plan" and "full reset now" would be nice to smoothen gameplay.

xanjos 2016-12-28 16:58

In terms of premise, the game is very similar to Haunt The House (although how you've interpreted the whole ghost possession mechanic is a lot different to that game). Anyway this was a pretty fun entry despite the complexity (and like others have mentioned, a way to quickly restart the current level).

comatomatoes 2016-12-28 18:57

Awesome entry! I think the biggest confusion for me was how to think about the plan in relation to where the people are on screen. The need to align the plan with where the people are on the screen seemed way too difficult for me. I would have found it more reasonable if the plan were defined in some kind of absolute time, but I understand that it would make moving the objects less exciting. XD

A cool idea and nice assets. A bit of a learning curve. thumbs up

fabsy 2017-01-02 23:58

Great entry in the Ludum Dare, really fits the theme.

Really liked the concept and the mechanics, however I felt like the implementation unfortunately ended up a bit clunky, the interactions with the game felt slow somehow.

The graphics and the sound were on point.

Overall very solid entry.

Nice art and audio. I was able to get by using massacre a lot. Sometimes my movement would get stuck and I couldn't do anything except massacre.
