Hey, I like the simplicity of your game. I thought the visuals work! I just think the little heart gets a little bit out of control, lol. It ends up getting hard to shoot the enemies(?). But good job, nonetheless. :3

Love the Undertale inspiration, the movement could use some work and the lack of music is a shame as that’s part of what made Undertale so great. Nethertheless congratulations on the game and keep at it.
Thanks for your feedbacks!
@makiyoshi: Actually, the movement getting out of control is the fulfilment of the „worse it gets” part of the theme.
@CallumLTurner: To be honest, I was tempted to hum „Finale” in my own voice and put it under the game. But I was glad I was able to reach the Jam deadline at all. Wish I started earlier...
Nice game :) I only wish my bullets would look differently than enemy bullets and that the movement would get worse slower (it was pretty bad for me even at the beginning :D). Other than that, good job!
Interesting concept but the game didn't feel that great to play - even right at the beginning the controls feel pretty slidey/weird. Also enemies took a ton of hits and didn't really react to getting hit, so at first it felt like I wasn't doing any damage at all. Starting directly in the path of bullets right at the beginning was frustrating too. Once I got used to it I got to level 7 on my third try. Also on firefox the heart sprite doesn't show up consistently so it was incredibly confusing at first (chrome worked fine however). I dig the undertale reference though!
I'm not very familiar with undertale so I lose most of that context, but this was a fun take on the theme that got a lot easier once I realised I could fight back :)
Simple, despite the controls initially being a tad confusing it was actually quite easy to get lost in the flow of it! Fun :D
I haven't played Undertale, so I'm judging this as a standalone game. It's very simple; basic graphics and no sound, so I cannot give it much praise for presentation. There is no feedback when you hit enemies either. The most frustrating thing though is having no ability to retry when you die, I shouldn't have to restart the game so that I can play it again.
The mechanic of your movement becoming faster and therefore more difficult to control as you level up does fit the theme well.
Well, it _does_ get worse :)
That was pretty cool. There were a few issues with things like the aforementioned enemies not showing any feedback for being hit, but aside from that the theme was pretty well executed. Boy do those controls get slippery after a while! Hah.
Keep up the good work!
I feel like there should be more backstory to this game. It might be because I haven't played Undertail.
The movement seems to deteriorate a bit when the game gets faster, but I do think it does generally hit the theme.
Unfortunately, I had a really difficult time controlling the "character." When I press an arrow key I expect the character to move in that general direction.
Could definitely benefit from some sound, but pretty fun overall once I got the hang of it!
The crazy movement felt a little more like a bug then a feature. I would release the key and the movement would still be going. I could understand if it just increased the speed of the heart, but it didn't seem to do that.
Nice game, altering movement like you do make it hard in a fun way. I love how concise your code is, in part thanks to ecmascript6, it is really easy to read and understand (even without knowing Phaser.) Would you use `let` instead of som `var` and I would have a real nerdgasm :)
Your game could be improved by some scoring system, I do not know if you'd prefere counting the time stayed alive, the number of defeated enemies or something else. Choosed carefully, the scoring objective could give an atmosphere to the game: defeat enemies = shoot = take stars = nervous gameplay / stay alive = dodge shots = move precisely = avoid stars = careful gameplay.
It took me a while to realise how to play, mostly because my heart was killed and disappeared at the very beginning (so I didn't even see it) wheras the game seemed to continue.
but when you understand how to play it's a pretty interesting and original game idea and good interpretation of the theme. Although I don't know why you want to convice us that more love and determination will make our situation worse ;) (I haven't played Undertale)
The game would definitely benefit from some sound!
Fun game, I like the controls since they feel weird :)
