LD23 — Tiny World

TINY LIZARD SWELL WORLD by racarate 2012-04-26T20:31:00

Even though the instructions weren't clear, I'll rate it mainly on graphics and music.

The day-night cycle was really well done, really liked it.
The music is repetetitive, but soothing.
Graphics are simple and clean, as they should be!

Pleased to see there was a linux binary, tested it out on Ubuntu 11.04. Running with 25fps, not bad, but could be more for a simple game.

The art was programmer's art, so I won't judge that.

What I liked: The calm mood in which you play, long relaxing levels which you can play with one hand. Very fun to just mindlessly play while you are in class or some sort.

What I didn't like: The movement, seemed to 'static'. Really slow 'gravity' etc...

Overal, a worthy addition to LD!

Fun little game, truly unique gameplay. I really enjoyed myself. The music got irritating after a while though.

Very fun little game!

What I liked: The simplicity. Do this, but don't do that. The little web games are my favourite!

What I didn't like: Killing the rabbits! :(

Space Dozer by desmarkie 2012-04-26T21:04:00

Superb game. I really liked the usage of gravity. No bad remarks.

Ant Command by Aaron San Filippo 2012-04-26T20:36:00

Looks very promising. For gameplay I didn't really see an evolvement. My ants didn't die and it got repetitive really quickly. Grats on the nice graphics and matching sounds though!

Invasion Of The Trivials by RobProductions 2012-04-26T21:13:00

Quite simplistic, but the key elements were there.

Manifest Destiny by lapogo 2012-04-26T20:40:00

Too bad I couldn't use ZQSD on an azerty keyboard, arrow keys didn't work either.
I felt that the gameplay was a little stiff, didn't think the movement was fluent.
If you ignore that, you can easily lose hours in this game!

brb, trying to kill boss.
