Great music! It's a pity the game feels unfinished. I eventually got stuck inside a wall - after losing all of my health and blowing sea mines with my machine gun of course!
I'll start by saying I loved the game as a whole and I think it's a well rounded submission. Pretty enjoyable, decent graphics and music and can really keep you occupied for a while.
However, I also had a lot of hard time with killing yourself. I found it quite unforgiving in the later stages (you have to go back to the start after passing 5-6 cannons...).
I was also a bit thrown off by the resemblance to worms... not very original :)
Great graphics! The game ran smooth for me. But it's too hard to control the grappling...

The connection to the theme is a bit weak...
Really nice game, cool fight mechanics. Had some moral problems with beating the crap out of people when they're down but that's ok, it's only a game :P
It's a nice idea, but I found it really frustrating (even though I eventually managed to stick around and finish it...).
I like the idea that the monsters drop your light source so you have a "second chance" of getting it before you go insane.
This is the best game I played yet - and I already suspect it might be the best game of the whole competition. I am amazed by the complexity of the levels, given the time frame and having to implement game mechanics which are more complex than most other games I tried at this competition.
Besides, this game just have tremendous appeal and I just enjoyed every minute of playing it. I just love it.

Nice idea, very funny!
I love the retro graphics, the second that magenta came up I was going "awwwww" for old time's sake.
The contrast in the music is really nice but the non-inhaler music was a bit hard on my ears, so that's the only thing that put me off...
One other thing actually: You should really give a clew when the game is over. I actually made all the way back (checkpoints and all) just to make sure I didn't forget to click a button or something :)
