I like the idea and the mini-games, but you can't use the excuse of saying you can complete the challenges... of course you can complete them, you made the game. It's okay if the game is hard, but you need to make the player feel like it's their own fault when they fail. For example the asteroid's hit boxes are big, causing the player to die even though technically, visually the player is not hitting anything. Also because the hit boxes are exact squares around objects when you hit something like the cacti it just doesn't feel right or feel good. You should probably make the hit-boxes smaller than the actual sprite. If that makes the game too easy you can always make it harder (like more asteroids). I was only able to beat the turret world- the others i could see how i could beat it but i didn't feel any motivation to complete them.

Hitboxes are Waaaay to big. Interesting concept.
Thanks for the feedback - balance and "fairness" are definitely something I'll consider in the future.

The desert level is just plain unfair and does not make good gameplay, the asteroids was annoying because I died instantly when I got to the 'next part' where they got faster. The metal level was very interesting, but annoying that you _have_ to die to reset the challenge if you failed the last two turrets. The premise of the game is good though, you have a good solid idea, but just executed poorly. Everything else was nice though!
This looks interesting and I'd love to give it a play, but the 226MB download scared me off. If you can make the download a lot smaller (ideally less than 20MB), I'll give it a play.

Also, it would be nice if there was a version without an installer (I saw the zip file had an installer), will have to come back and review this when I get home tonight.

Good ideas. I have to agree with the other commenters though. if the hitboxes were 5-10% smaller than the sprites, this game would be awesome.

I feel guilty for downloading this huge file and not being able to review it. I don't have XNA 4.0 or .net 4.0 and don't plan on downloading them until I can't help it. These frameworks weigh-in in the gigabyte range and that's just crazy.
From looking through the games directory, I will say that a lot of this content looks like it's been repeated, especially a large sound file for wave banks at about 36 megs, so you can probably shrink your distribution way down with some work.
