It was fun, but without having a well defined goal and/or story (which is what attracts me most to zelda type games) it didn't keep my interest for too long, especially since I died a lot and had to start over.

The main mechanic works really well, it's very addicting!
The particle effects when you shoot the polygons were very satisfying, and so was picking up triangles...
It was less clear for me when exactly you get hurt, if there was an indication to that then I missed it, and feel it should be visualised more...

I didn't understand how to summon a whale, I tried, but nothing seemed to work for me. So basically all I could do is gather coins which weren't enough for anything...
It does seem like a nice concept, and the graphics are nice as well.

Really beautiful graphics, and the mechanics with the umbrella seems like it could be fun. I got stuck pretty fast on a hill that I couldn't jump on...
The voiceover in the beginning was cool, but all other sfx were just awful, and I'd replace them (or prefer no sound at all).

I also did a rage-quit on level 4 out of frustration from the collision detection...
But other than that, really awesome game!
Also, a small thing that haven't been mentioned yet (I think), but when I first played the first level and saw the moving red cubes I assumed that there are regular moving platforms, probably because they are shaped like a square...

Music & Sound were very good as well.
I also had problem with the resolution, and I only realized I can see the fuel bar at the very end when I scrolled my mouse.
Made it at 3:25 on my first try!
I wasn't so convinced about the connection to the theme, though...

Nice game, took me a while to understand how to play, but it was worth it, since in the end I saved 16 lives!

There were some colors that I didn't understand how to make, and some colors that I thought were similar to the patients but it ended up killing them...

It's a fun game, and I managed to find all the gems, and then some :)
I also didn't find very much use for the 'Z' button, maybe if you would add some slippery floors it would have more use (and it would be fun).

The music was really beautiful!
However, I didn't really understand how to play...
There are two types of objects floating in the screen, both of them seemed to give me points when I touch them, so where are the evil asteroids?
And what score do I need to get to the royal wedding? I really wanted to see it...

Awesome game, fun & funny!
I also accidentally skipped two levels when pressing Escape after dying and waiting forever...
Also, that 4th level mechanism with slowing down the time didn't really do it for me, not because it took a lot of time to recharge, but because I had no incentive to hurry up, so nothing stopped me from waiting for the recharge, which made this both the easiest & most boring level.
Looking forward to more of this, though!

I agree with mwest that swinging the sword didn't feel too much fun at the moment, but I think this could work really well on tablets with touch, using drag to move and different gestures for fights...

Very nice concept!
Only I had to watch the youtube video to understand that you need to build the whole path in order for the cats to climb. I just put a ladder next to the cat and then was surprised that the cat didn't move. Then I tried to put a bomb next to the cat to scare it and that also didn't work. Then I tried to bomb the cat & myself out of frustration and that also didn't work.
And then I closed the game and watched the video and went: D'oh!

So many bugs, oh, the humanity!!
Sorry for all these bugs, lack of time + lack of sleep + lack of testing = abundance of bugs...
According to my understanding, I can't release any fixes for the compo, but rest assured the official version that I'll release will be (at least that's the plan):
* bug-free
* will have more clear in-game instructions
* will have limits on placement (I'm considering between limiting the number of units or having a budget per level, or both)
* A loser screen with auto restart afterwards
* better graphics
* more interesting levels, more units, more enemies, etc.
* A level editor
* Even more awesome features

Winterblood, about your suggestion for the troops to wait and all act at once, I actually thought about it, and am still thinking about it.
It would allow for some pretty cool puzzles, but I can think of some cool puzzles that I won't be able to do, so I need to think about it some more (this will completely change the level design).

And now for some spoilers:

Little Angel: to pass the archers, you need to throw in two kamikazes, and quickly run towards the exit (the archers will shoot at the kamikazes and you'll be able to make).

aymes & Winterblood: the level with the wall requires you to put an archer in front of the green button (and obviously the grunts disappearing is a bug, there's an invisible wall there), the archers shoot at green buttons, not at red buttons...

I loved this game, possibly my favorite yet!
First, the gameplay is addicting.
The story is intriguing, I'd really like to see it develop more.
I also loved the music, I found it interesting as the world itself, and it didn't bore me at all.
The graphics were also awesome, though I agree they interfere a bit with the gameplay, so maybe some adjustments are needed, but not too much, because the general style with all those little touches was very refreshing.

The only thing I didn't like is the difficulty. My top was 10 weapons (I think), and I got that without using the gun at all (hmm, maybe that was the intention all along?), because other than the gun that shoots red dots, it seemed that the other guns didn't do enough damage to kill the creatures on their run... Also, the creatures moved faster than me, they where everywhere, and don't even get me started on those damn butterflies...

Awesome! Tremendously funny and some clever level design!
My only gripe is that the game can be very unforgiving when you move between tiles, it has to fit the exact tile, even though it seems that you should be able to move.
I also got stuck in level 8, how do move the nerd to that last dude in the top left corener, goddamit?
So I skipped to level 9, I don't want to say anything, but it's well worth it...

I actually found the game was too easy...
I almost didn't use the traps at all, my tactics was mainly to stay in the grass and waiting until someone is close to me... If there was a way to force me moving around this might make the game more challenging...

Nice, innovative and clever!
I very much enjoyed the in-game dialogs,
It would be nice if you could control the speed of the hero somehow, as I found myself waiting for him a lot.
Also, the controls felt a bit clunky. For example, in the last part I knew that I had to remove the block from underneath the hero as he walks on it, but it still took me like seven times until I managed it...
