Cool idea.

Thanks!
It's not novelty but I wanted to test that control scheme.
Also should have been called "Frogger's nightmare" hehe

I like the spin on the classic helicopter game (or whatever it is). The twisting frame makes it challenging - which is good. Not sure if it's just me, or if you just copied a template index.html, but I didn't hear any music, even though the keys listed include "M" for music. With some interface polish, some music, and better graphics this could be great!

Very interesting control scheme... seems best to stay on the sides which doesn't provide as much opportunity to move more than one direction at a time though. Nice work... I'd be interesting in seeing the concept developed further.

cool game

Thank you all.

@Mintman, yes, I copied a template, there is no music :)
I started already too late to make some music, got just around 5hs of work.

Very interesting idea. I get motion sick very fast though so I couldn't play for too long.

I liked how the tilting became more erratic and extreme as the game went on. Good way of increasing difficulty.
Music would have been pretty ace, if you had time. The sole sound effect of dying was a little lonely in there.

Wow, that was weird. But cool...

cirrial 2011-05-05 20:09

Interesting idea. Confusing tilty game thing made it hard to play for an extended period of time but I did like the first five seconds or so.

matthias_zarzecki 2011-05-05 20:38

Quite interesting.

Sort of an abstract take on Frogger? Cool idea!

ryantouk 2011-05-09 03:12

Pretty challenging. I'm not sure but I THINK I took a few hits that were unavoidable... or maybe I just haven't fully gotten the controls down yet.

1443 is my record. The concept is novel and refreshing, although game itself feels a little bit glitchy and not fully polished. I would perhaps have liked the rotation to be more regular, either a continuous circular motion or at least slowly wiggling back and forth, so you have a greater chance of predicting it instead of reacting to relatively sudden changes and hoping you won't get stuck with no chance of escape. To that end, maybe it could also show more of the oncoming obstacles (keep the player further back). Visually, it's pretty clean but I don't quite see the attraction of downscaled pixel resolution when it's all blurry and antialiased. If you give this whole package some design scrutiny and tweak the balancing, it might turn out rather elegant overall. Bonus points for having minimal graphics inside a circle.
