very nice work!
Really cool concept :D Great game
Nice Game
Stunning artwork and brilliant concept!
Cool game! I like the idea of balancing your life while buying stuff using your life.
However I do think, that the game is broken because I only utilized the very first (to gain life and therefore levels), and the very last building (to spend life, so I don't die of old age) to reach the first place with my score of 60 levels.
A few tweaks I thought of: * Most people probably don't know that you can change your viewport left and right and therefore can't place as many buildings. * I also think that you currently do not inform players that upgrades are available. * The upgrade button shouldn't be visible when you.
I also found a few bugs: * While the turorial tells me to hover over something to see the stats, it is not showing stats while hovering. (It works fine before and after) * The two last big houses can't be sold according to the description, but in reality I can. * When placing the gravestone on the leftmost position, you can't upgrade the gravestone because the button is not on the screen. * The "Quit" button on the main page is not working.
Hope you liked my feedback!
I am a bit hesitant on this one, the game is really polished, nice controls, art and music, but i find it hard to understand how to play, even though i did the tutorial. You obtain level on aging but if you are too old you die.
Sorry if i didn't fully understand your game.
still, good job for completing it :)
@jeremia Thanks so much for the feedback!
Yeah, there is definitely some balancing that we are missing because we ran out of time. I wish we were able to test more, but I'm so happy you played the game and liked the idea! We'll try to take a look into the advice you gave and see what we can do after the jam!
@pepnou Hey, thanks for the comment! The tutorial was a little last minute, but to at least explain it here, you baasically gain levels as you age, but you need to reverse your age so you don't die. You don't lose levels by getting younger, so you can gain levels again by aging again.
I'm not sure if that was clear, but I hope it helps :)
I really enjoy this art style! Great work on the game!
good art, only managed to get to lvl 18 on my first attempt. started to learn it abit more on my second attempt but ragequit early on :dog: there isnt so many games that fit the theme, and i think this will score realy good on theme.
Looks very nice! Unfortunately I can't play it as you don't have a linux build :(
I like the concept of the Game The game needs a bit more balance but liked the gameplay!
Very good concept and style of the game but I didn't understand all things, maybe it's only me but sometimes I put a building and it increase my age and then with the same building it decrease it so I don't know if it's normal.
I'm in second place! Woo! I think there are some UI polish that could be helped. Like, if I click on a building I stay on it, because sometimes I want to upgrade it more than once. I didn't realize I could upgrade buildings or sell them for life until I started running out of room. I don't recall that being included in the tutorial (a tutorial included was brilliant). Another thing with UI, since there is an online leaderboard (which contributed to me competitively playing longer), I wish that more HUD elements were at the top of the screen rather than having to hover over the stats book or what level I'm at. Seeing the rates would have saved time and made my actions clearer with the types of buildings I built as the game progressed. Nice little concept here. I enjoyed it a lot!
TThe concept is fun and mechanics well balanced :) ! Good submission I enjoyed play the game a lot.
I'm not sure that I did everything correctly, but it was quite fun to play!
Here is my playthrough:

@star-garden , @nico-fallosch , @msalison > Thank you for the kind words :D
@lombax > Still, good job for making it to level 18 \o/ We should have detailed the tutorial a bit more and make some things more visible/intuitive. But well...game jam, haha
@sarneh > I'm glad you like the way it looks! Sorry for not having a linux version :(
@tartaud > I'm glad you enjoyed the concept and the style of the game! As for gaining or losing age with the same buildings, it depends on their color : the blue buildings make you gain age whereas the purple ones make you lose age. So each type of building has the two versions. I hope this is helpful ^^
@bakenshake > Yay, good job for making it to 2nd place!Thank you for this constructive feedback! Yes, unfortunately, we didn't put as much time as we wanted in the tutorial... And we will make sure to improve the UI after the jam :D
@icxon > I'm glad that you enjoyed the game! Thank you so much for this video, it is super useful! And we will make sure to make things more intuitive, improve the UI and tutorial after the jam. Thanks again for the video :D
You really get the graveyard feeling with that artstyle. I didn't get the extra effects on the right side. A little detail would be nice. Great work!
I liked the premise. However I could not understand why sometimes my life would go up or down even though I add the same building. The tutorial was nice but perhaps not clear enough. The artstyle is very good for Jam (they're even better than considerable amount of the mobile games I played so a + for graphics!) The audio was nice and I did not turned it off. Great work!
A good amount of polish, I like the UI and look of it. Leader boards weren't working when I tried (Or maybe I didnt score high enough to show up?) overall very well put together

Nice work! Nice graphics, mood and music especially :)
Really fun once you grasp it. Plus the game is really polished. Congrats!
Nice drawings and concept.
This games features incredible graphics and music. I appreciated the tutorial a lot, yet I found myself a bit confused about what to do. Took me a couple of tries to start building properly. Very nice addictive concept, but, even if I had stats, the mechanics wasn't so clear so I was surprised when I died. Maybe just some more pop up info would help. Overall this is a beautiful complete and polished entry. Good job!
@kregames > I'm glad you liked the art and enjoyed the game! thank you for your feedback :D
@arqcenick > thank you for your feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed the atmosphere of the game :D We wanted to put more time in the tutorial but well... Game jam ^^' For the buildings, depending on their color, they will make you gain age (blue buildings) or lose age (purple ones). We will make sure to make that clearer after the jam :)
@denzil-gomes > Looks like you clicked many times on "publish" haha ^^ I'm glad that you liked the game. And you should be in it no matter the score you get. Thank you for your feedback!
@jsmars > thank you for your kind words. I'm happy that you enjoyed the atmosphere of the game ^_^
@gerardb > I'm glad you enjoyed the game! Thank you for your comment :D
@tay-elenberg > I'm glad you liked the art and the concept! :)
@tommyflower > thank you for your feedback! Yes, there are a lot of things, and we will improve the tutorial and make things clearer during the game after the jam :) I'm glad you enjoyed the game!
Neat little game that unfortunately gets repetitive really quickly. Keeping the bar in the middle and building and selling the same things over and over again is not the most engaging experience (Maybe I also just misunderstood the concept).
But besides that the game feels really polished and the art is also absolutely fitting. The upgrade feature is also really neat even if I would have hidden the upgrade button after the final upgrade of an object.
You also unlock all the buildings really quickly (in under 1 min) and besides the altars and the cross graves, the other buildings didn't feel that significant to me.
@dr4g0nsoul > Thank you for your feedback! Implementing everything took a while, and it's true that we didn't get much time to balance the game. The time it takes to unlock all the buildings depends on how you play at first. Since it's a game jam, we didn't want this time to be too long. Unfortunately, we also didn't find the time to implement some fun events in the game :( We will try to correct the little UI bugs, balance the game better and implement fun events after the jam :)
Thank you again for your feedback !
Well balanced. It took me a while to figure out what's happening, took me some more time to get a hang of it. But overall the art and UI looks amazing. Mood was totally on point!
@theustweak > Thank you for your comment! Unfortunately, we were not able to spend enough time on the tutorial :/ So we will improve the tutorial after the jam :) I'm glad you enjoyed the atmosphere of the game! ^_^
Nice art and simple play style, though I guess I wasn't the only one that was a bit confused at first, and on some of the UI the text went outside of the frame it was supposed to be in. All in all it was a good polished game, great job!
Really nice and interesting concept! I played untill level 22, but it seems i didn't got a rank on the leaderboard. ^^ The theme fits quite well with the game and the concept. The art is very nice to look at. I really like the UI-design in particular. The Menu and pause screen look very nice. All in all, very nice entry. Good job on that!
Nice work with your game!
I encountered one bug on the main menu when opening the game in fullscreen (3440 x 1440): Menu_bug.PNG
@bentekiller > I'm glad you enjoyed the game ! Unfortunately, we didn't spend as much time as we wanted on the tutorial... :( We will improve that and correct the bugs after the game jam :) Thank you for your feedback !
@awesomealliterationalliance > The leaderboard in the game only shows the top 5, but take a look at the online leaderboard here : http://mathewsherry.com/LD44/ . See, you're here \o/ I'm glad you enjoyed the game :D Thank you for your comment!
@oune > Thank you for your kind words! Oh, an unexpected bug survived here! We will correct it after the game jam. Thank you for your feedback :)
Good)
Good Graphics, very nice menu. Good Tutorial. Leaderboard push me to understand how not to die too adged. Quiet boring after finding and applying a win strategy. Really well polished game, high level of completion here. GG
I think the game is interesting, but I clearly didn't seem to figure out how to play it correctly. Still a pretty good game, though, considering the graphics and music were fitting.
