I did not fully understand how to play. It's WASD to move and then? I love the graphics and the base idea otherwise.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD44 → Get Me My Drones!

Well, I can tell things went wrong here, I can relate it happened with my first game jam as well. I think at least the enemies look nice, for suggestions the background scroll should be slower. and when I restarted the black boxes around me were gone and I couldn't die anymore. You finished a game though that's the important part, good luck in your future projects.
@solah wasd for movement and pressing(not holding) "space" for firing the black pixels, pardon drones. Unfortunatly that knowledge wouldn't help you much, cause it is not possible to win due to a bug (actually I dont think I know how the end screen looks either). Background was done by @floxy, the enemys by myself.
@digitaldude555 Yeah, found the reload bug right after submission hour. Although the backgrounds speed is really high, it was an attempt at getting something like Rym9000 did in their demo, which doesn't seems to be on the net anymore. But thanks to you non the less for your suggestion, bug report and impression. Next time we will definitly focus on the core gamplay and then go from there.
Too bad of the bugs and the unclear win condition. It feels like there is potential here :(
Its is an interresting design. The visual aspect is nice. But it is not fully playable due to some bugs. You do not have to work much more to fix them. Thank you for this entry !
Interesting concept - though the execution needs more time :) The water speeds past at verry high rate, but could ignore that - liked that some of the enemies had clearly telegraphed shots.
The river is moving really fast! The enemy bullets and missiles are so slow compared to this, it feels a little odd.
Interesting idea though, where you take damage directly to your bullets. There's a fun glitch, if you restart, you return with no drones, but your body destroys everything in one hit.
Hi! Game look nice. I like particles spinning around character.
There is a bug: No new enemies spawn after first wave.
Also after spressing space maybe there is bullet. But nearly invisible for player
Is see you use Godot engine!

Say Hi! in our Discord channel!
@redz0ner Yeah, the game was jumbled together from the individual parts we made in the last few hours, so it became a mess. We will probably fix what there is in the future, but if we do smth with it, then we'll build from the ground up.
@shubart true. The positional bug is fixed in the postLD version, so at least that is now working (rocket stuff isn't right now, hadn't the time to do it yet). But I think the ld44 version should remain as it is, standing as a reminder to focus on the actual gamplay first (and why, you should add nodes to the tree, before trying to set their global_position, in the Godot Engine) Thanks for your comment
Simple pixel art, but honestly looks Great all together. It is great to see another LD-44 game made with the Godot Engine; I Love Godot! Congrats on your game
Good theme idea! Would have been nice to see the resulting score, and the game doesn't seem to reset properly when I press again, so I needed to restart the game or I didn't start with any ammo/life. Nice work overall though! :)
I like the art. I wish there was music though. As some other people mentioned it didn't reset properly when I died.
It's a pretty cool concept. Good work!
Yeah, there was this bug @digitaldude555 mentioned earlier. Other than that I can see the potential in this game and what you were going for (I didnt try the post-LD version). The graphics are okay and the sound effects are good.
Anyways it is a game with a lot of potential. Keep up the good work!
I found the drone circling you made a pretty interesting pattern. I found the bugs others mentioned here and got stuck around the missiles where they moved around and nothing new appeared.
Great idea! Are you planning to finish it?
I liked the concept of using your life as ammo, combined with the idea of a manic shooter where the hitbox is of the essence. The game is far better than you make it to be !
Pros : - A bunch of cool mechanics (your life is the hitbox/ammo, "flying carrots" exploding, ...) - Great controls - Simple but colorful pixel art
Cons : - In-game instructions would be welcome - Difficulty is steep
All in all, nice job !
I was initially confused because there was no indication visually that i was firing. I found myself shooting randomly to make up for it. but i like the idea of a bullet hell with limited ammo(life) forcing you to evade enemies
There is a fascinating humor inside. hahaha.
A decent start, nice concept. I had a really hard time telling what was going on a lot of the time. My "shots" are barely visible, which wouldn't be so bad except most of them disappear instead of hitting and I'm not sure why? I had to basically fly into enemy's faces to hit them. Also, I'm pretty sure I was taking a lot of damage and again, not always clear when or even why. I liked the colorful graphics, enemies, and enemy attacks (with the possible exception of the "leaf"-looking rocket explosion lol seems those things are actually really dangerous).
Interesting concept, I think you did something pretty creative with the theme, it was quite innovative. I played both the LD version and the post LD version. I think the drones could have been more noticeable when fired as they get lost and it's hard to see where you fired. Some audio cues would be nice when firing and connecting with a shot. In any case, this was a neat game with potential and the post-LD version certainly fixes a few things. 3.5 overall!
A solid start. The idea of visualising your ammo by way of the drones circling the player is neat, and potentially losing them due to glancing hits is an interesting mechanic (if a little on the strong side due to the sizeable area of the drone cloud and the large numbers of attacks on-screen). It was a bit hard at times to see where my attacks had gone due to the moving background, but otherwise the art style was quite pleasant. A few bugs here and there, but certainly nothing that can't be fixed in future updates :)
I played the post compo version because I wanted to see how you wanted the game to be. Very nice graphics, good idea but very very hard especially with the almost invisible button. Good start. Some better time management next time (did you make a todo list?) and you could have a cracking game!
I played the post compo version too. Very fun, I kinda like how short it is. Took me a few tries to get what each enemy did and how to fight them, and they are all very well designed. Well done!
The sound effects are kind of repetitive, which become annoying after a while. Also, the background scrolls by at like break-neck speeds, which, is cool I guess, but also is kind of sloppy looking.
On the positive side, love the scaling feature, and the drones rotating around you is pretty cool! Also, I love how you've worked on it after the jam! Great job on not abandoning the project.
Overall, sort of fun, and I think it has tons of potential.
