Solid entry!

Wow! Impressive. Nice difficulty increase.

Maybe it's just me, but I didn't like the fact that I have to install the game first! (I don't know if this is required when using GameMaker)

I enjoyed the graphics and the game plays well - nice job on the particle system too!

very much fun.. congrats

red_fan-games 2015-04-23 23:08

Linux please?

mikeureko 2015-04-23 23:58

Sorry Red_Fan games, I would have to pay about $150 to buy the Linux/Ubuntu export module for GameMaker. :( I totally would if I had the money, though.

Very good game, polished and good controls. Mayby a bit too easy, the fun starts after a few minutes, but overall very goos

Sorry, it asks for UAC elevation and that is simply never going to happen.

Neat little game. vintage theme was cute. it wasn't particularly challenging though. Perhaps more enemy variety or increasing spawn rates over time would have helped out. Still, great job overall!

jsmars 2015-04-26 07:33

Really nice work! Great arcade feel and overall presentation!

Nice game, a little more variety (different weapons/ opponents/ powerups) would be nice, and a life counter.

I liked the solid engine and the increasing difficulty. The Graphics and the sound work great together to convey a retro feel. The exploding tape seemed useless in the beginning but became very important later, I like that.

A note on installation wizards for jam-games: don't. Just don't. I spent more time installing an uninstalling it then playing. And if your technology requires you to use an installer, use your games title as a name, not the Jams Title.

This is a fun, solid entry. I don't know how well it fit the theme but it's still really good. Good job!

mikeureko 2015-05-04 02:38

@Rialgar I actually wasn't sure about the title until I was finished with the game, so I just called it the name of the jam while I was working on it. Anyway, thanks a bunch for the advice and stuff! :D
