Sure the graphics are not amazing but it's great to be able to develop a story with multiple directions and multiple endings (for me, the unfortunate Ending 1 and the alive Endings 6 & 7) despite the time constraint. Thank you for this well done journey.

@ObscenelyTrue Sorry for the late reply! Last week I was really sick >_< Thank you for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

The way it has to scroll down after every choice is really tedious. With that being said, I loved everything else about it. The story was interesting though I only played through to one ending. I liked that I built my own story that I could go back to read from beginning to end. Great idea! I wish it had some music though.

Great entry. It reminds me some novels which I loved when I was young - the book where you are the hero. It could better with some background music ++

Good writting!

Visually suits the theme of being on a ships monitor. The scroll after every choice made is nice but once the text builds up it can really take a while.

I felt the need for background music.

Good entry though!

Well, I don't mind the scroll that much... It's just that well, you need to somehow to extend the gameplay time, right?

It does make me not really reading the text and select randomly. There was no indication which text was new so it's probably not important.

And I agree, nice writting!

And I did found several endings so it's not that bad. :P

@rodobodolfo @SamuelSousa @g12345 I thought strange when you were saying about the scrolling being tedious and all, so I checked it and apparently the scroll resets to the beginning after a choice! When I originally tested I only played it on Chrome, what a mistake! Did you play on Firefox? The actual behavior should be the auto scrolls start from where you are and go to the new choices... I'll be looking on to it!

@Geckoo1337 Oh yes, in fact the Ink scripting language was developed to turn one of those adventure books into a game! I've always wanted to read one of those but never had the chance T_T But I'm glad my story evoked good memories~

Yes, I really wanted some BGM! But my composition skill is very limited... But now I added a recommended BGM, I hope the playthrough will be better~

Thank you all for playing and for the feedback! Cheers~

Ah, a text adventure. Slightly time consuming, but when done well, it's not that much of a problem, and that's the case here. ^^

Generally, I enjoyed the writing here, and the story worked pretty well (as well as the meaningful choices). One thing I find understandable in Compo timeframe, but still noticeable, is that some paths were cut short; e.g. I don't think there's much you can do outside the shield (except for dying from radiation).

Also, I'd really like to have some sort of restart button after completing the game. Its lack makes exploring alternate endings a bit more of a pain than necessary... ^^'

Works on itch.io though.

I really like the format of the text. The way it all reads as a single log file.

But it does become annoying when the amount of text added is larger than my screen height.

Can't start the game, getting this error:

I was pleasantly surprised this works on my phone! I got a nice ending and will revisit to see the others. The chosen font is really easy on the eyes and the story flows nicely. Really cool stuff, well done!

samuelsousa 2016-09-12 14:30

@nihilaleph Confirm - played on firefox

Sorry for the late reply! Thank you all for playing and the feedback!

@Alphish I'm glad that it was worth your time~! =D I was going to have some more information about the planet in case the player decided to stay outside the shield, but I didn't have time to write everything I wanted ^^; (But ultimately the player would die). Oh yes, I wanted to add a restart button, but I'm not sure if there is a way using Ink, I'll definitely try again next time! Sorry for the inconvenient!

@Waynetron Sorry about the size ^^; I was thinking about having smaller font size, but didn't know if it would be a problem... And maybe I got overexcited with my writing and produced too long texts xp

@jsmars It should be working now! If not you can always play on itch.io ;)

@darthbox1 Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it ^^

@SamuelSousa Thank you for the reply! I think it should be better now!

The font size is fine. Makes things easy to read quickly. One thing I'd suggest would be to add breaks in the text, with just a "Continue" option, making sure it doesn't flow beyond the screen.

What's presented of the world and story is pretty good. The pacing feels a bit rushed, and lacks focus, though. The scenes don't connect much to one another, and the story keeps jumping around with no breathing time.

I guess that was a necessary sacrifice to get the full plot in within the deadlines, and I do appreciate that we actually got a full story from start to finish.

Was a nice experience. Good job!
