LD30 — Connected Worlds

LUDOPHAGIC TIMEWAVE SOUND HYPERWHISTLE by racarate 2014-09-14T08:49:00

Works fine here. It's hard to figure out what's the point of the game. When you do, it's fun to play as a referee for a while, but it lacks a goal/purpose. Very fresh concept, though.

DOX30 by WebFreak001 2014-09-04T15:24:00

Kinda cool. The character should stop moving horizontally when in air and the player is not trying to move left or right.
Kudos for including editor. Although I couldn't figure out how to use it :)

Feedular by rebecca 2014-09-02T13:24:00

Interesting concept, but it definitely needs more players.

Intersection by Domantas 2014-09-04T15:36:00

Hands down one of the most enjoyable games from the compo. I also loved the graphics and particle fx. But yeah, checkpoints would really help :)

Linked Colours by Florent 2014-09-02T10:54:00

Most interesting puzzle game I tried so far, nice! I managed to link all the dots without actually completing the level.. bug maybe?

Galactic Paperboy by Aaants 2014-09-02T09:32:00

The most fun gravity based game I've tried so far. Thumbs up for having a (non-intrusive) tutorial. The controls are clumsy, though. Angry Birds style dragging would work much better.

Holodeck Adventures by rejooh 2014-08-26T14:15:00

Treat for hardcore Star Trek fans! A bit hard to control and figure out (it took me a while to figure out that it is not point and click).

Plantocalypse by dark_hunter 2014-09-02T11:28:00

Best gameplay so far, loved it! Really well balanced system considering how fast it was made.
Music gets repetitive after a few turns, though.

Alternate guardians by Destroyer40k 2014-09-02T10:36:00

Neat concept. The controls are a bit hard to get used to, so maybe the game should start out slower.

The Bacon Uprising by Tigro 2014-09-02T08:43:00

Nice idea. It would help if you were in control of less games.. like 2 at once is more than enough for a human. ;) For example the focused sub-games could be automatically switched by the main game.
But I managed to beat it anyway, by getting rid of the easiest ones first and then playing just the remaining 2. :)

InfiLoop by komjaur 2014-09-02T10:32:00

Nice Antichamber clone! Is there any connection to the "connected worlds" theme?

Lice evolutions by xrm0 2014-09-02T13:13:00

Fits the theme in a really smart way :) However, I didn't get what the atributes do exactly or what "configuration" I should try to achieve.

Outer Threat by ypr 2014-09-04T15:06:00

Not bad :) My complaint would be that you can't see/feel very well how the numbers affect anything.

World B by MrTambourine 2014-09-02T09:43:00

Great style, dancers are the best! The fishing mini game could be more forgiving, that's where I lost patience :)

btw it doesn't work in Firefox, just shows "10, 10" after the intro.

Disconnected Worlds by Pantelis Petsopoulos 2014-09-02T11:45:00

Oh man, the yo mamma joke was cut off the screen!

Two Empires by Tosic 2014-09-02T10:20:00

The game is fairly buggy and I had only faint idea of what's going on :), but considering you're 11, wow, you have a lot of potential!

Shattered by guimonpa 2014-09-14T08:40:00

Pretty standard metroid/cave story/knytt platformer by normal means, but considering this is ludum dare, this is the crazy polished and the longest jam entry I've played. Great job. Gets a little too hard towards the end ;)

Levitans by oakus 2014-08-25T23:31:00

With more detail in the art style and hand-drawn baloon animations (the vector based baloons look kinda unfinished), this could be a nice rainy-day game to chill out to.

Connected Retro Worlds by yodamaster 2014-09-02T10:48:00

Very enjoyable. I like the atari style clouds. My complaint would be that difficulty should start increasing sooner and less abruptly.

Double Foosball by arazim6 2014-09-02T11:02:00

Cool concept, took a while to wrap my mind around it, very challenging.

Node 54 by silentlamb 2014-09-14T08:58:00

UGH :) Pretty cool. The controls are somewhat frustrating.

Planestroller by ShaunJS 2014-08-26T14:22:00

Nice intro menu. The game is innovative in its approach but I would enjoy the ability to control the switching or speed it up a little bit because I sometimes felt it was too long when I was just waiting for it to switch. Also, the movement of the character felt a little floaty (moved more than I expected it to). Otherwise I really like the idea and you should try to polish the graphics and audio a little bit.

Pigeon Connection by JoJoyX 2014-09-02T11:39:00

Very nice graphics! But it could've been implemented better. The background should be blurred, not pixelated and the wire could use some texture.
Gameplay-wise, it's very unclear where I should go and there doesn't seem to be much challenge.
I like how you literally connect worlds.

Super Alien Bro by nerd burglars 2014-09-02T10:27:00

I love the idea of temporary power ups. Where are the connected worlds, though?

Earth <-> Krethys by BethhhB 2014-09-02T08:35:00

Conceptually, the game is very interesting. But it's also buggy and a bit confusing, so it took me a long time to figure out things, like what's the purpose of the box.
Is there any reason why the world switch stops the player mid-air? I think it would make the game much clearer, if the switch was smooth and the player would continue to fly as expected.
But other than that, great, also liked the graphics and audio.

PongOut by Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh 2014-09-02T13:04:00

Clever idea, too bad I can't try it with anyone right now. I especially like that it's played on an odd number of screens.

Swich! by swich 2014-09-02T10:42:00

Sorry for the confusion with the web link, renamed it to "website", there's currently only the Windows version. -blade

Polar Dash by Cheesefork 2014-08-26T13:46:00

Incredibly simple and fun to play game with simple low-poly graphics. Looking forward to a mobile version :)

Tubular Trader by socks 2014-09-02T10:09:00

Not bad! I can imagine expanding upon this concept and making a full game with puzzles. More visual feedback would be great, at least on which color is connected, ideally the whole flow traced.

Fused by stoz 2014-09-02T09:25:00

Really nice characters, they remind me of Ed McMillen's style. The level is super hard and made even harder by slippery physics and maybe unnecessarily swapped controls. Intro could also use a skip button and be a bit faster. But thumbs up for having one :)

Shifted by Scipio Xaos 2014-09-04T15:01:00

Really solid puzzles. The game reminds me of Corrypt, which I highly recommend (the big surprise reveals after a while).

The controls were a bit awkward, but ultimately usable. Sounds wouldn't hurt either. They could be used to signal that you can't switch, as you can't see it right now. That lead to my initial confusion.

Two In One by Niavlys 2014-09-02T09:35:00

Nice graphics. Too bad you you couldn't finish it.
