I got up to 700+ (lost the screenshot but it's true) until I realized this is probably infinite. Which was embarrassing on my part, being Greek and knowing that no matter what, Orpheus turns to look at Eurydice. Besides that, the music was simply bangin' but I could not stop ogling at the materials and shaders especially in the water. I maybe would like some more feedback and more of the environment reacting to the music (like souls in the river (Styx?) glowing on the first beat or sth). In any case, this is definitely one of the best looking games in the jam in addition to being super polished, fun and overall amazing. Fantastic job!

Wow, you won my heart when I read part of story of Orpheus, and then when I saw this guy with lyre... Omg, so great! The character who was chasing us was also amazing, I was kinda scared of him. Love music and rythm. I really enjoyed this game. Maybe it is not so high, but still, I'm proud:

Visually marvelous. To much for a game jam man. The game is too easy tho, could go on for ever without loosing. Still the best looking game i have played so far.

Great visuals and music. In general art. Gameplay is mesmerising, but i guess too easy. I've got 918 combo and I had to intentionally loose. Maybe some other bits, some faster later on would make up some chalange?

The art and audio were amazing. I never got tired of the music even after 700+ perfects and a 90% S rating. The VFX for destroying the blocks and the art of the environment was amazing. Wish I could've paid more attention to it, but was too focused on not trying to crash.

Lost twice in that "L" shaped crevice. There's no getting out of that one?

The game definitely works to put the music at the front and center, and that music is dope! Graphics work in tandem with the music to give a heavy, foreboding feel and tone to the game, which I loved. I found the gameplay itself a little too easy and only managed to "lose" by choice. When I did, the game didn't end and I ended up behind the pursuing specter, which I don't think was intended. Having the game switch to double-time after X steps or applying pressure through a drop section would have been really cool. Overall, a solid rhythm game that I quite enjoyed!

@nimmems Oops, we've never encoutered that bug, that's not intended yeah ahah. We meant to have the bpm speed up and stuff but of course we had to cut that part of the scope down.

The gameplay is simple and effective, but quickly repetitive and too easy, as other people said. Would have been really great to have some sort of challenge increasing over time, but 72h eh. Still it works very well thanks to the overall polish and mood!

Still, everything is really polished (love the game over effect) and visualy beautiful (that water shader :o). The music fits very well with everything else. I also really liked your take on the theme, really great idea to use the story of Orpheus!

Good job there!

Really good game. Music is amazing. But it's too easy. Maybe you could make the rythm change during the game and have a visual effect to show when to click with this dynamic rythm

I really liked the mood and the music but it is unfortunate that the rythm doesn't change at all. Once you get the rythm right, you basically can string perfects and you lose when you are tired of pressing the keys. Minor bug, but you can do right/left undefinitely as the ghost isn't moving at all for side steps (which kind of makes sense) :D

Game with good graphics and music. The gameplay is a bit easy (normally, I am bad at rythm's games) because the rythm didn't change. Doing the intro every time breaks the game.

PS: We can have a "S" rank without going forward

The quality of your assets are insane. The mood was on point! I hoped for some kind of and end after some minutes - maybe for another story part to keep the interest in playing the game :smiley: Fantastic job!

It took a while for me to realise that this is infinite! But that was mostly because I was enjoying playing it! Great graphics and music!

Best graphics of any game I've played in the jam so far, and maybe the best music too.

Just to let you know, I found a bug: I entered the red zone by moving backwards but staying on rhythm. This made me go right through and I ended up behind it, so the game basically never ended until I quit. (It's probably the same issue that nimmems reported above.)

Nice game! The visuals are absolutely stunning. The player character is really satisfying to look at. Love his animations, I really enjoyed the little follow-through on his dangling legs) The environment is clean and beautiful as well. As somebody mentioned before, it would be even greater if it had more movement and feedback. Could make for a really meditative experience, were you move and look around at all the detail.

The music is also great, the rythm is really distinct and easy to get into. Especially in the part with hi-hats and no drums.

Gameplay feels very satisfying at first, but gets tiring after a while. I started zoning out and making mistakes, because it's hard to keep the same pace for a long time. I think it would be cool to mix the rythm up somehow to keep it interesting.

Amazingly well polished, looks fantastic and it just feels so good to play! I just wish it had some more challenge, it's very easy as is. Still, amazing work!
