Nice feel. Consider auto-pickup next time. Also, Z and X icons are pixelated (unreadable in game), and when player is looking any way but south, he is pixelated too) Also I met some giant in the end, was it intended??
Thanks for the feedback scorched. Auto-pickup is a nice idea.
Flowers as weapons. Nice!
Hahah cuuuuute. I actually yelped screamed when the biggun' came after me.
I love the scan lines and the effort you went through to make it feel authentic. That was such a cool mechanic. So many games resolve conflict with destruction. You're able to defeat your foes by planting flowers and I freaking love that. Great job!
Nice touch to make flowers the weapon of choice. It needs more to get a better understanding on how the game works. Hope you'll develop it further.
This game looks very beautiful!
The game indeed looks coool, but so much for unusual weapon... the mechanics aren't fun for me.
Graphics looks nice. I didn't get is there any difference in plant types? gameplay is slightly too simple but game looks good and feels like begining of something cool.
@everyone . thanks for the feedback.
@jprogman I'm already working on a post jam version (but find myself overwhelmed with possibilities )
@victo RENE the fun in the mechanics do need to be tuned (tfuned ?)
@Demy yellow are commons, reds are also life, purple (spoiler)are distracting to the last second enemy (/spoilers) thanks for the encouragement BTW http://ludumdare.com/compo/2015/04/22/post-mortem-flowerpower/
Seemed like you ran out of time to put together some neat and innovative ideas. A shame, since the graphics looked good, and the controls seemed to work just fine. Also, is that sprite Link?
@omiya Games thanks for the comment, thanks to you now i have a motivation surge. that sprite is almost link. those were made (not by me ) for the #FemaleLinkJam an postedn on opengameart.com http://opengameart.org/content/overhead-action-rpg-characters
