Hey cool idea! Would like to see where this leads!

Nice little physics sandbox. I never quite got into orbit but I had some wild rides!

Good job on your first compo.

Nice start! The visuals are pretty good and the overall smoothness too. Now you need to add more gameplay/rules over the physics engine. This will allow you to tell if the controllability of the player is high enough.

Pretty cool! I managed to build a pretty big tower that was fairly unstable and toppled over. After that I kind of felt "We can rebuild it, we have the technology".. so out of curiosity I tried again. I realize that I can turbo-boost sort of by jumping and putting boxes under me and then jumping again, but I ran out of pieces. Finally, I collected blocks all around the planet and I *think* I escaped. Currently zooming through space.

Nice that the feeling of curiosity was strong enough to get off the planet! Some of the mechanics were a bit tedious, but with a little smoothing this will get more fun. Nice job!

I had fun fooling around and trying to build things. You managed to quickly give the feeling of wanting to build and learn more about what's happening in the game. Really interesting idea.

I am in oooorbit! Didn't reach any of the moons, but I've been floating around in space for about five minutes now after I used the Minecraft technique to build myself straight upwards. Ran out of blocks, and as I was falling back down to the planet I was hit by one of the asteroids which sent me sideways and into orbit.

Fun idea, and a good job!

Cool game! Didn't quite get into orbit, but it was a fun concept.

zondarg 2017-05-04 23:38

..bit like building with woodblocks, but more fun :) cute little physics game with a Minecrafty touch to it. Did not make it into orbit but fun nevertheless.

Great game! I was able to build pretty high, or... so I thought until I realized I could zoom out and then I saw that I didn't get very far at all. I like how you added the ability to zoom out (I wish I realized that sooner) and the physics engine worked very well. I did find that I could push myself higher by building blocks inside of me and then I would get pushed upwards. It also seemed to be a little slow on my computer (But, that could just be my computer and not your game, so I am not sure). Other than that, it was well executed. Great job! :)

Great idea, although the physics seemed a bit strange, the boxes would stick to each other when i droped them too close and it was not easy to accelerate because i would be stopped by small gaps between the boxes. But i had fun building a huge ramp, although in the end i gave up because it started lagging quite a lot on my computer.

codechomper 2017-05-06 00:04

I like this idea! I built a large ramp but was never able to escape gravity. Maybe you could have started with a smaller world and gravity would be a little less. I liked the springy physics of the blocks when you place them I just wish they would have snapped together for ease. Awesome Idea and great start, I hope you build on this!

A really interesting concept, if a bit tricky! The physics felt a little bit off in places, and the amount of times a flying box hit what i was trying to build got a little bit frustrating, but it's a very different concept to anything else I've seen on here, and strangely compelling! Good job

pikopik 2017-05-11 18:00

my biggest complaint is the lack of air control (sideways movement while you're in the air) which made controls a lot more frustrating than they should. would be a fun game with more polish.

100th-coin 2017-05-12 02:03

I'm not sure what the goal was, but I built a house, and then proceeded to see how far away from the planet I could get. I had fun with this one, thanks!

I really lik the concept of your game. It started out with me wondering why the controls of the ship felt awkward and why the floor was rotating. Zooming out made it a differnt game! Great entry and I wonder if you manage to get a great post-compo game out of this.

It's an interesting sandbox you've designed here. But the controls could use some work to make moving around a lot smoother.
