@noumenus Thank you! It's very exciting to hear something so nice! I also like how the graphics turned out but exploration can get frustrating - the cats spawn randomly, you can't see very far and there's nothing to guide you (i really like how both of the games i listed as inspirations solve that problem) and nothing to do once you've met everyone

@lawnjovi That's probably assets not loading in time(( Pressing an arrow key or refreshing the page fixes this for now, but i wouldn't bother if i were you, unless you want to watch cats spawn in the walls/water and peer beyond the edges of the world. Didn't have the time to test what I managed to finish
I liked the art style, that could have been sth. nice :) The world is already quite big, maybe start with a smaller world next time, flesh out the game and then do more / bigger levels / world.
The controls are a bit slow, maybe faster player reaction time and movement would have been good. Mainly the reaction time when you start moving in a direction. There shouldn't be a delay then at least.
