Any chance of mac version? Would love to try as the description has indeed tickled my fancy!
I really enjoyed this. It's a simple and powerful mechanic! The mix keeps you trying for better results at all times!
as mentioned above, very polished, feels like a finished game only if it was slightly more balanced, feels to easy at the moment, apart from that though EVERYTHING is super well done. The art, sound effects, music and mechanics, of all the games I've tested, defeinitely played this one the longest. (Still playing, so fun!)
I like the fact you get to know the game by trial and error, the fact you need the colours to match. Would have enjoyed it more if there was more to the mechanic, felt like something was missing. A lovely submission though. Regarding the theme I didn't feel like the two genres were incompatible but rather a fun combo.
*clap* *clap* *clap*
Woah! Such polish and well-thoughtoutness, there's nothing negative to say about the game, the music, the sound effects, gameplay, balance, difficulty... hey there actually was a tutorial that was extremely short but extremely spot on! One does need to use logic here and not mindlessly fire those blocks (although that proves rather fun as well!) Well done sir, I sit here pleasantly amazed.
Graphics, mood and gameplay were great! I thought however that the genres were pretty compatible tbh. Loved the simplicity of the game, I found myself playing for minutes on end without even realizing. I should add, I'm a huge fan of jumping overall.
Love the idea, especially the mix has worked very well here! I was also surprised by how balanced the gameplay was, going from easy to hard, from learning to utilizing that which you've learnt.
@jiri-hysek smart move!
The mood was pretty fitting, I think this is one of those genre-mixes that really need a proper tutorial on how to play. It does work out after a while but that while is too long. The graphics were good, a real world scenario that sets the player in a recognizable place.
Hey I would LOVE to try this out, any chance of a MAC build?
Got it!!! Screen Shot 2018-04-23 at 12.11.50.png Had fun trying out all the aspects of the game, I'm surprised a car based battle royale hasn't been done yet, what a genre!
Which I could have played on mac, screenshots look interesting! If you make a mac version available, do let me know ;)
Everything in the game played so well together, I especially loved the art style and its consistency which immediately made me feel immersed in this new world. Exploration and tower building was fun even before I knew what I was doing. Sadly my laptop's audio doesnt work at all so I didnt have a chance to enjoy the music element, which Im sure would have been lit.
A horror maze dance-off? Damn man, what an idea! Haha, had me laughing on the floor by the time I realized what was going on, sounds was also done well enough to create the tension one would expect.
Finally the truth about relationships...
I really enjoyed playing the game, the combination of a platformer and a rhythm that is at the core of the mechanic proved much more fun than I would have thought.
A pity there was no mac build, if one was to appear let me know, love the idea!
@Jiri Hysek , @Antti Haavikko what a blunder! Fixed, the *.dmg file is there now. @ditzel Thanks man @bcvery1 oh that's good to know, sorry about it not working atm :( @Aterlamia thanks for the feedback, much obliged! And you're right, I would have loved to spend a bit more time tweaking and playing with the runner part.
@Jiri Hysek woot, valuable info! Thanks. Can I just copy it over from the windows one or is a new export in order?
@Danby glad you enjoyed it! I second your wishes and might pick up where I left off, develop the game further also properly utilizing the runner side of things. @Jiri Hysek We shall see then, have sent the files to a friend with a Linux machine with the pck file from the windows build. I'll let you know afterwards.
@jiri-hysek Ok the the pck file is indeed the same, lovely. Finally works now. @antti-haavikko Right on! Thanks for the tip, hadn't realized. Absolutely, that icon was supposed to be 'slightly' less... crispy. Yeah it is a 'bit' on the easy side, I wanted to add floating coins (for highscore) and obstacles and ammo (to be able to help out there below) to the running part also play with the camera a bit more. I actually have a few ideas on how to tackle it but there wasn't enough time for that. Thanks for having tested it so thoroughly!
@jiri-hysek, ps. Loved your game mate! Fantastic use of everything.
@memel06 I'm in serious consideration of that.
@sndr Thanks man! Yeah I must confess to starting really late because I had no clue what to make, inspiration was not coming in so I spend a 'good' amount of time tinkering with the animations of the turret.
@caeonosphere yeah the animations and art overall is definitely the part of game dev where my confidence predominantly lies at the moment. Thanks for the review!
@edj99 Aye, the run mode I would have definitely liked to polish more, also balance indeed was heavily tilted towards the easy side. Such valuable experience this was for me and my game dev skills though I'm really happy I both participated and did what I did. Thanks for the review!
Judging by the screenshots this is a game I would have enjoyed trying out! Let me know if you there's a mac build later on ;)
Would have loved to have tried but after having downloaded the file it was for windows only, let me know if there's a place I can get a mac executable.
I enjoyed the game, would of loved to see the highscore after death to take screenshots and show off to my mates later! Loved the mechanic, the music, the graphics and sound effects, over all great stuff. If there was anything that was missing, well I would have enjoyed if the game got more difficult as time went on, I noticed there were only 4 spawning locations, perhaps randomizing those? the bullets could have started flying a bit faster with time. Good stuff!
So fun! as mentioned above the planet style works really well here, the mechanic feels new yet easily understandable and blasting those enemies (and yourself) away to KA-BOOM-BAH! land is very satisfying, lots of potential here.
A real surprise giver. If I ever had a chance a typing game of ANY sort I wouldn't, now way. Nuh-uh, I made an exception here and boy am I glad.
What an idea, I salute your game making skills! Just played it (thanks for releasing the MAC build btw!) and couldn't help but admire the polish of both graphics and gameplay.
