Nice idea ! and surprisly the car is controlable. realy fun to play. good job
Pretty cool! The art style works well and the cars feel nice to control. Well done!
Lol , I remembered a game of my childhood like this . Your game nice
Impressive and solid game. All that it is missing is multiplayer and sounds. It was fun and the AI was capable. The rocket launcher maybe was a bit strong.
This was pretty good. The driving was nice and smooth. I could have appreciated a map and more delineation between the weapons so I know what weapon/ammo I was picking up and using. I ended up placing 3rd after falling of a cliff looking for the other cars! fun!
It took me a while to figure out why I couldn't shoot (answer: I'm a dummy and didn't notice the differences between the weapons, their ammo, and their corresponding colors), but once I was able to fight back, it was a surprisingly fun game. I'm not a battle royale fan, by any means. This game, though, with its short, fast, small matches and quick restart made it fun to keep trying. Also, the control was just slippery enough that I felt like I wasn't always 100% responsible by my fails without feeling cheated by the game or the physics. That's something Nintendo's always been great at, and is a really tough balancing point to hit, so good work there.
My main suggestion would have been to color code the weapon icons in some way to match their colors in the field. Good work!
Nice game, with better AI or multiplayer it could be a ton of fun.
Took several tries for me to win, but eventually I did! Really nice work on the game. :) The car driving worked better than I expected and the game was really fun to play. I liked the simple graphics and the sound effects a lot!
Great work! On the web build, the sound seemed very quiet on my machine (barely audible at 100% volume), and the edges were cropped off until I toggled fullscreen (initially I was confused at the lack of a HUD, but there it was after all :) ). You can set up the screen size on its itch.io page. But I had fun, and it ran astonishingly smoothly on integrated graphics.
Impressive! Very solid combo entry in my opinion. I have to agree with everyone else here: The controls were a bit confusing. It took a few minutes to actually figure out all the mechanics. As an AI lover myself I really liked how good the AI actually was!
Good Job!
Good game, the volume is very low on the sounds.
The AI was really impressive for game jam, the enemy cars seemed to be dodging me fairly well.
I can't wait to play!
Imnot that good :/Screen Shot 2018-05-03 at 8.57.40 PM.png
My favorite weapon was my car. I enjoyed pushing the AI off the cliff. :p
Well done! This was a lot of fun and the world felt really immersive and large. I love the particle effects on the guns, ammo, and car explosions.
Just a few critiques: - The sound effects and lack of music didn't seem to match the pace of the game. I felt really pumped when playing, but the audio didn't reflect that. - The aiming was a little tough. I would love it if the crosshair was locked to your mouse position and you could control the car independently. - Each time I played, it seemed like about half of the cars would end up stuck to the side of the house, and wouldn't fire back at me. Not sure if this is a bug or not. If so, I was playing on the web version, if that matters.
Overall I had a blast playing, nice work!
Gameplay reminded me of the old Twisted Metal games, that I really enjoyed playing years ago. Seems like rocket launcher is the best choice, since it's a one hit kill, however it can be hard to hit with it. I was a little disappointed when I drove off the world and it was an instant game over. I also wish that picking up weapons also increased the ammo count. The enemy intelligence seemed to be really well done for the most part, but I did see some cars get stuck at times.
