Super fun! Love the ricochet/collection idea.

noa-calice 2018-04-23 07:09

I enjoyed that :) ! My highest was roughly 1500 ! Nice pixel art and cool Alien/cowboy theme !

dirtymoonz 2018-04-23 07:15

Great game, love the art!

memel06 2018-04-23 07:17

1190 Score! I loved how you must collect your projectiles that are bouncing all around the map. You nailed it! Very interesting game concept. This deserves a polished version post-jam! Nice entry, thanks for your work

gemberkoekje 2018-04-23 07:57

Nice game! One thing I would improve is the feedback on getting hit, you'd be surprised what a simple screen flash or screen shake would do! Other than that, good graphics and nice game :)

danby 2018-04-23 08:05

@gemberkoekje That is very true, sadly I added lives last second and only had an hour left to publish and host everything. Definitely will update that later

danby 2018-04-23 08:11

@habeeb-mohammed We were super excited about that concept @memel06 I'm so happy you liked it thank you! @noa-calice Nice Score! We thought the theme fit the dare!

neowhoru 2018-04-23 08:24

A great game with cool art style - i really enjoyed it. Well i first didnt recognized that i need to collect the flying bullets (as it seems that i die when i hit them). But overall a cool game (and cool music).

danby 2018-04-23 08:29

@neowhoru We wanted to add a quick tutorial but ran out of time, I'm glad you liked it! The music was made by one of my friends https://soundcloud.com/iz3yy Check him out!

petro-shoferystov 2018-04-23 08:32

960!

superpokeunicorn 2018-04-23 09:05

This is a pretty cool game. I like how the bullets keep ricocheting until you pick them back up. It prevents the player from just mashing attack and forces them to focus on positioning. I also think there's a nice balance of enemy types, with a close range charging enemy and a long range projectile enemy. The acoustic guitar background music was also a nice touch. The game could use some polish overall, but it's still a solid entry. Nice work!

danby 2018-04-23 09:07

@superpokeunicorn Thank you so much! I'm glad you mentioned the enemy types, I really wanted them to work together and fill each others flaws

sndr 2018-04-23 09:45

Cute little game! Love the reloading gun mechanic. Very original!

krystof-klestil 2018-04-23 09:49

I enjoyed the game, would of loved to see the highscore after death to take screenshots and show off to my mates later! Loved the mechanic, the music, the graphics and sound effects, over all great stuff. If there was anything that was missing, well I would have enjoyed if the game got more difficult as time went on, I noticed there were only 4 spawning locations, perhaps randomizing those? the bullets could have started flying a bit faster with time. Good stuff!

korteh 2018-04-23 11:52

very interesting idea!

smiley-4 2018-04-23 12:02

Fun littl game. I really like the graphics of your game.

yanek 2018-04-23 12:03

Loved the game! Full of good ideas. 1190 is my highscore for now, but I'll try to improve it.

Like already said, feedback for damage taken would have been great. And maybe I'm doing something wrong, but sometimes when I click, my character doesn't shoot (and I checked, I have bullets left).

danby 2018-04-23 13:51

@Krystof Klestil You nailed the feedback, we're definitely going to go back and fix everything you just said

danby 2018-04-23 13:51

@SMILEY_4_ thank you we thought pixel looked cool

danby 2018-04-23 13:53

@Yanek Yes sometimes the bullets collide with the character before they can get away from him so he catches them right away. That is a bug.

zemenno 2018-04-23 14:36

Awesome! I liked the guitar at the start! And the sprites in general were awesome! i loved this game! keep it coming!

akanthaur 2018-04-23 14:45

The first cowboy who shot himseft to reload :) I love it !

danby 2018-04-23 15:37

@zeMenno Thank you! We will!

danby 2018-04-23 15:37

@Akanthaur lol exactly!

rohan 2018-04-23 16:39

Loved the art and music !! Catching the bullets was a bit hard but it make the game more fun!! Would love to see some more feature if you expand the game!!

chaseplays 2018-04-23 17:14

Wow! The reload mechanic in this game is really clever! It made the game really fun and I liked it a lot! The graphics were also great, accompanied by wonderful music/sfx. In the end, I somehow got 5940 points! Nice work!

seconddimension 2018-04-23 18:07

I was not great at this game, I only managed 960, but it was still really fun. I found it very satisfying to line up a shot at an angle that meant I could get my bullets back. The sprites were nice too, helped create a good mood along with that acoustic guitar music. Overall I really liked it!

One note though - did you know that the compo is for entries by a single person only? You should really enter this as a jam submission if you did it as a team. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/rules

danby 2018-04-23 19:54

@Rohan Thanks Rohan! We do plan on expanding the game (Maybe meteors and better spawning)

@Chaseplays wow. 5940 points is a lot, I'm very surprised you got that far. Thank you we wanted to make sure the audio fit the game.

@SecondDimension Me and my brother had no idea I think we're going to contact ludum dare and ask them what to do thanks! And of course thanks for liking our game!

danby 2018-04-23 20:12

@SecondDimension We are able to switch it to Jam and we just did! Now we have an extra five hours to fix the game!

seconddimension 2018-04-23 20:42

That's cool, hope I didn't come across badly for mentioning it, but it's good to be in the right category and plus you get all the extra time! I usually do that jam with a couple of friends, but had to go solo in the compo this time. Kind of wish I had the extra day to make more than 2 kinds of scenery :laughing:

danby 2018-04-23 23:28

@gemberkoekje @neowhoru @Krystof-Klestil @Yanek @zeMenno @Rohan @Chaseplays @SecondDimension

Thanks for the feedback guys! I worked really hard the past five hours and added what you guys said! (The game is also a bit harder) Plus i added actual objects for the background! I hope you like it! (Mac version available for download)

str1pe 2018-04-24 12:02

1770! nice game

danby 2018-04-24 15:43

@_str1pe Thanks!
