Graphics style remind me don't starve ! Very cool, there is a bug with tree we can walk on the base otherwise it's good, maybe little void but it's a very good start !Good job! TCT1.png

The first enemy encounter made me jump :) Good art style. Simple game, nicely executed.
Nice one! The 2D art and fluid motions are great. The game mechanic fits the theme very well, you only need to be careful, when you kill the last enemy to not unintentionally select a skill.
I also need that cup.
Nice graphic style and sounds. Every time a monster appears I got scared by the arrggghh :smile:
Thanks for the encouraging comments everyone!
@robowarrior1982 I original had a collider on the trees but I had to remove them due to bugs when exporting. But thanks for the feedback! I do plan on polishing the game after the jam, so any feedback or bug reports are greatly appreciated.
Nice graphics! I really like the art!!
Awesome art! Nice gameplay, I like the upgrading feature. A bit of a soundtrack would help, but other than that great job!
I really like the art!!!
Nice style and addictive. I'd add a pause when the level ends so you don't keep clicking and accidentally choose an upgrade.
Overall a good game. The art is quite nice and the interpretation of the theme is very good. I fellt that the hitbox for the cup was a bit clunky, since you had to stand beneath to hit the monsters. And some kind of music would have made the game even better. Good idea!
I'm glade everyone seems to be enjoying my game!
@frostdragonliz I was rushing near the end, and completely forgot to add transitions to stuff like the upgrade screen, even though I had been reminding myself to not forget to add transitions throughout the jam. I'm pretty sure my brain fell asleep during the final hours.
@henanboy I feel you there! :D When giving feedback I always need to remember that the dev probably wanted to add that feature, but just didn't get chance!
I liked the art a lot, but the combat could be better
Very good entry, great job! Loved the animations and character design. I had fun playing your game, you should be really proud for making this your first game on Unity!
I loved the graphics, I liked to kill monsters like a sir hahaha... good job !
Art was great and the characters were a lot of fun. Would love to see the idea of a fancy man on a desert island expanded on; its a funny concept. Combat was a bit tricky, I couldn't really figure out how to reliably avoid damage. Congrats on your first jam! And thanks for tuning into the stream!
I like the sense of humour here, and that Don't Starve-esque animation.
When I completed a level, I was in the midst of spam-clicking to attack the monsters. The menu immediately popped up, and I chose an option there without being able to read it. Adding a delay would prevent that.
Good job on completing your first entry!
Well done for your first Ludum Dare :)
I really liked the art style and theme... the sound effects worked really well too. It's a fun concept to run around the map looking for the monsters with a cup of tea!
It might be a good idea to have the monster be knocked back a little when we hit him, as he is already very close, and it's difficult to avoid damage.
Thanks for the awesome comments everyone! And for the feedback! I'm really happy that people aren't just playing, but also enjoying my game.
Decent game, I liked the art you made for it, and after knowing the sound effects you created with sound from you I got a chuckle out of them. The water to me was especially cool in your video, but could not see it much in the game. Few things to note, the attack radius is interesting I could attack enemies 360 around me, maybe I am throwing tea on them :P Little bug in the animation when you attack and run at the same time, looks like you do not have the animation for both. Keep up the great work!!
Overall, a very good game with a cool idea and an interesting graphics choice. I feel like there could be more upgrades, different enemies, and more music/sound, but for a 24hr jam it was good.
Nice game. I like the graphics alot and the this WAAHHH-Sound the monsters make is hilarious :)
@pcoridan I just set a collider around the player for the attack range. As for the animation, I couldn’t figure out how to get the animations to transition seamlessly, at least not without a lot of playing around with unity. Thanks for the feedback.
@ryfi Thanks. I plan on adding some more stuff and doing a lot of polish after the jam.
@sver Haha, thanks.
Loved the art but was not really sure when I was getting hurt. The game over sound was also quite nice. The game got pretty redundant and a variety of enemies would have been fun.
Thanks for the feedback! @dk5000p
Great job man! I really loved the art! beautiful stuff, reminded me a lot of "Don't starve". I didn't really get if I was too strong or dying wasn't implemented. I got hit several times but never died. Good job! grats on making it to 20!
The attack range feels a bit off. I will say, though, that the controls and camera feel very smooth. The visuals and sound effects also had a charm to them. Overall, well done!
@webox @hunter-towe Thanks for playing!
The attack for both the player and the monster is something I definitely need to work on. Thanks for the feedback!
Really fun game that reminds me "Don't Starve" (then I looked at comments and saw I was'nt the only one :)). Well done !
@deformhead Thanks!
Love the animations! Very good job
@kiv Thank you!
The idea that your weapon is a tea cup is really funny.Great work.
@hans1203 Thanks! I'm glade you like it.
I managed to immediately kill myself after buying upgrades. The upgrades were tempting. Congratulations on your first entry!
@arkinrev Haha, thanks!
Nice game. Liked the art, especially the visuals. More complex combat could really improve the overfall fun, but I had a good time with it as is :)
@m0dsat I’m glade you like it! I am already working on an update for my game, which will have an improved combat system.
Hey, congrats for the entry! For a first timer, you did a damn fine job. Compo is extremely hard, and the fact that you delivered your first compo using Unity for the first time, it's mind blowing.
The issues that I had while playing it: - I ended a level while clicking to attack (I didn't know spacebar worked as well), so I clicked an upgrade by accident - I didn't fully understand how my life was being affected, because I never felt like I was being hit at anytime
Great job!
@glimaleite Thank you! I believe I have fixed both those issues you have brought up. I added an animation to the upgrade screen, and a sound effect for when the player is damaged. I plan on uploading the update sometime next week. Thanks again.
Seems not soo bad for a first game compo. Wish it could be more in game mechanics.
@lesinvisible Thanks! I wanted to keep it simple since I wasn’t sure of what I could accomplish in 48 hours.
Nice graphics and sounds! Very playable but some things bug me. It's hard to figure out when the hit actually registers and how to fight not getting hit. Another problem is that the upgrade menu uses the same button as fire. Anyway, the character design is great and I had fun playing the game :)
@m2tias Thanks for playing! And thanks for the feedback!
Nice work on making it for your first jam, compo no less! (I didn't make it for my first 2 and barely made it this time lol). Good job with the polish having sound and a tutorial. If I could make a change, it would be better hit feedback and deeper mechanics.
@aileron Thanks! Could you please elaborate on what you mean by 'deeper mechanics'?
@henanboy I don't remember exactly what I had in mind, but I'm thinking different attack types like Strong/Weak, as an example. Perhaps more weapons and enemies might fit the bill though that isn't really mechanics.
@aileron Thanks. I'll keep those in mind.
