Nice platformer. I has some trouble with some of the jumps, even when using my companion powers. It was fun up to that point. Great job!
I like the different abilities your companions give you. The art style was really good, everything fit together. I had a very hard time with the platforming, I could not jump up the vertical section very easily. Sound design was nice as well!
Cool vibe, controls were really finicky to get the jumps just right. Solid entry!

This is the first non-halloween adjacent entry I've seen so far. I really like the feeling of the controls, feel pretty tight for a jam game.

I really liked the player animations, and the controls were pretty smooth for the most part and easy to master - the one thing that was a little frustrating was the slide jump, it would've been nice to have the slide part bound to a different key as it made the timing difficult, but other than that nice job!
This is super cute, and I'm a sucker for a classic platformer but I am not good enough for this one, it's tough! Thanks for sharing your game!

This is a really cool game! Nice art style, with a lot of personality. I also like the different summons with different abilities, remind me os switching cannons in Metroid (I'm not sure why). I just had trouble with some of the jumps =s The first "staircase" is insanely difficult, at least for me. Anyways, congrats on the submission, great job!
The controls and gameplay take some getting used to, but the art and music are pleasant. Nice little platformer!

Very aesthetically pleasing, loved the graphics and audio. I was getting classic mega man vibes.

I added a short little playthrough video for folks that got stuck, hopefully that helps for anyone that wants to get to the end of the game :smile: - also I hear the feedback on the tall platforms, the game doesn't really teach you about the slide-jump, but even then I agree that it's pretty tricky!
I love the art/character designs in this one! Has a lot of charm and personality to it. Really pleasant colour scheme, too. Vertical jumps felt a bit tricky at times bc of the controls, but the level design is fun, and I like the gimmick of swapping companions.
Really liked the style of gfx. Although the palette is pretty cosy, audio is slightly too sharp and loud. But it is just humble opinion :)
Love the graphics and the color palette! I found the controls a bit finicky (and my platforming skills are a bit rusty), so thank you very much for including the video walkthrough so I could see what needed to be done and watch the parts after I gave up :)
I thought for a bit the web version didn't work because it says "press any key" and several keys weren't doing anything. Space worked. Might want to mention that (or fix it)?
Don't quite understand why the obstacles are designed in this shape. The art doesn't seem to serve the story. The fact that there are only two summoner companions confuses me play-wise, because the two functions don't conflict, yet I need to switch to use those abilities. And I couldn't get past the first platform jump. This game is too hard for me...
I played through it all and loved it, I'm gladly surprised by the level design, the ways it makes you go in almost every direction yet I didn't felt lost, but for some little nitpicking maybe the character and object sprites would pop out a little more if the have more contrasting colors in their lighting, and the messages in the map would look better in some dialogue box or maybe even said by your companion, anyways good work all around.
Love the style and the movement mechanics' creative level design. Great work!

I noticed something VERY important: Nowhere in your list of controls did you mention that shift makes you sprint, I just tried it out of habit from a lot of other games and noticed that I was faster. This might be why a lot of people were saying the movement was too hard, because they only attempted the moves you told them they could do with each companion!
I also noticed that the music just kind of stopped for me and then it was just awkwardly silent except for my jumping sounds.
I would definitely recommend updating the list of controls to be sure you include everything! :slight_smile:
I enjoyed it very much, reminded me of the old early 90s platformers for the sega genesis. Highlight: Amazing level design!.
I couldn't get past the upward climb in the first level. The timing is too tight to use the slide jump all the way up.
And now I'm reading that there's a sprint button you didn't mention anywhere in the instructions? Now that's just foul play.

I like the concept and interpretation of the idea a lot, and graphics are sweet! It starts off a bit hard though, perhaps the concepts could have been introduced "mario style" with a obstacle you need to use the umbrella to pass but you survive if you fail, then expand upon that etc etc. Otherwise nice and fun!

The game felt pretty difficult with precise platforming seemingly required to get through the levels. The different abilities to dash and glide felt unique to each other and helped showcase the level design. I liked the pastel color palette in the sprites! The jump sound could have been modulated so it would sound slightly different every time you jumped instead of being the same exact sound over and over. Nice entry!
Just a bit too tough even on the first level. Using different companions is an interesting concept but a few tweaks to the abilities and level design (longer platforms on the first chimney section) might make things less frustrating right off the bat. Cool ideas though, nice job!
Good game, love the art style
As a platformer the game is too hard, the jumps are tricky because of the level design. The visual and sound design are nice (the music doesn't loop after a certain time though). The different mechanics with companions are a great idea, if you polished the difficulty of the levels it could be great and satisfying.
