Found this game a little bit confusing - I think a tutorial would've been nice :)
Otherwise, great job!

Found this game a little bit confusing - I think a tutorial would've been nice :)
Otherwise, great job!
I loved the graphics and the events really made me want to replay it more. Such a cool blend of mechanics!
Interesting concept, could've used a bit more clarity..
Absolutely incredible game. So far, this is the best game I've played from the jam.
My only critique is that the game feels too short. If you made the playing area bigger and then allowed the player to keep playing after 1mil population I think that would make the game even better.
Great Job!
Also here's some proof that I actually beat the game:

Incredible game. So polished for only a 72 hour span.
Step 1: Build military power Step 2: raise taxes to 100% Step 3: Revel in your vast wealth.
Also I'm a hero.
Somehow.
I guess running a militant dictatorship to 1m people does kind of count as stabilizing a country? Fun times.
Anyways, really cool game. I also made a city builder type of thing, but mine isn't nearly as polished. I loved the event system. I wanted to add one in mine as well, but I ended up only being able to add a very basic one. I just didn't have enough time or energy. . .
This is really cool though, the only thing I'd want is more actually which is really good. Harder scenarios, more land to build on, more and more dangerous events. Overall really awesome game.
nice game! it was surprisingly fun to manage all the categories, especially since all the buildings had so many side effects
Loved this, I got to a point where I had 100 in everything then called it. great looks, good audio, it was fun to build my little city instead of trying to minmax
I spent half an hour trying to balance the needs and get everything in the positive. I failed utterly... then the cultists started converting my population. 10/10, would perform the sacred ritual again.
Fun, dynamic concept. My only gripe is that it was difficult to immediately tell which building was which based on the graphic alone. All in all though, well done!
Pretty cool!
Once you get all the stats over +1 though, there isn't much to do but wait to win. I sort of just sat there pressing the end day button for a good number of weeks waiting for the game to end.
Really solid and polished. One of the best entries I've played so far! The biweekly events keep clobbering me though. It was a little tough to tell which building was which without labels, but it looked and sounded fantastic and played great overall!
Super fun game! Very interesting strategy decisions and building interactions, and the art an UI is on point. Game seems to go on a bit long though IMO, after a while it gets kind of easy where you have 10+ of all resources, might be more fun with a smaller pop cap.
Great game, beautiful music and art as well. I'm pretty bad at strategy games so I didn't win (I tried not taxing to max people's happiness and then overtaxing them for money) but I'm gonna come back to this. One thing I didn't see was what the building names were? I may have just missed this piece of info tho
nice game, would be great with a tutorial
Game balance could use some work - I very quickly hit the point where I had constant 100s but had to press the button ~100 times to actually win.
Had fun working it out though. Nice entry!
Awesome concept here. I was able to successfully survive and fill the entire grid which was fun! Wish it gave me some sort of "You did it!" but otherwise fantastic job. Chill simulator that I really enjoyed. Oh! One more thing would have been to add the name of each building type. I kept having to hover until I learned them by their picture. :)
Fun game and pretty balanced for the time limit, I was able to cheat by putting taxes to 100% and then gain a bunch of money before lowering it and building everything though. Very good job!
Very nice ! I enjoyed finishing it, despit the first difficult weeks. I managed to finish under 30 weeks. Nice arts, even if it would be more clear with name of each building as title in its hint. Well done !
This game is really fun and really polished. I'm a big fan of the art and music, everything goes together really well. Great work!
It's nice and challenging in the beginning but it's not too hard to stabilize your city and get a surplus for all of the parameters.
Good job anyway, Pleasant graphics and cool idea. That's a 5 from me.
Great polish and execution of a big project. Interesting events, though at a point they stopped really being an issue, maybe if they scaled? Nicely done!
We had a lot of fun playing this game, but only because it was busted. I made the worst city in the world, Casinos and Factories everywhere, that was it. Happiness was in the tank, -49, and we still had people coming in in droves. Music was ambitious, but the dissonance was very unpleasant to listen to. Keep going and you'll get better with time! Art was very nice, and the controls functioned rather well. Good job!
Awesome visuals and I really enjoyed the events! I hope this is expanded upon after the jam!
Seemed like a really deep and well-polished game for the jam! I liked the interactions, but I didn't find a lot of need to increase taxes. Perhaps I got lucky, or it was too easy. Didn't take long to get to 100/ everything!
Just one small note that I didn't mention during yesterday's interview, I didn't actually realize you can click the arrows next to the Tax %, but I doubt anyone else had trouble with this
Good game, failed at first couple of times, but then tried to increase tax a lot, earn money, and only after that to start building. It worked :D
