Candle Lights by saintheiser 2021-10-07T01:10:16Z

Like a lot of people, we got stuck in Pass the River. Music was very nice, sound effects weren't too harsh (good job). Art style was adorable and very well made! These puzzles were super cool, I just wish we could've played more!

Not Today by shubart 2021-10-07T02:48:50Z

Not a whole lot going on here. The visuals were incredibly nice to look at, but I wish there was more stuff to do and places to explore. Controls felt nice, though!

Un-Stabled by popertots 2021-10-05T05:08:35Z

popertots (:

Unbalanced Brawl by yopox 2021-10-07T02:39:46Z

Super neat art style! Are you supposed to be able to fight things without any cards on the board, because I didn't understand the shop layout at first, and ended up accidentally farming coins for a while without using any cards. Would be super cool to see some environments (obviously super hard to pull off for a jam). Groovy music, would like some more tracks for different encounters, maybe based on difficulty?

Quantum Split by rubr 2021-10-05T21:34:02Z

Well done, you two, this game rocks. Music was a pleasure to listen to, and the mechanics were incredibly versatile. Great level design and art, too. Personally, I struggle to remember what directional button does what when a game goes isometric, so it might be handy to label the in-game indicators with WASD/UpDownLeftRight.

Neon Tower by Sli 2021-10-07T01:24:08Z

Super fun idea and very chill vibes. It would be nice to have a button that lets me spin the shapes faster, as waiting for a shape to rotate all the way back around isn't very engaging. Very well done!

Tower of Thoughts by Erukolindo 2021-10-07T04:01:07Z

Could be really cool, but the patching holes idea wasn't clear enough. The sound effects were pretty goofy (good stuff). Music wasn't bad, just a bit repetitive.

Time Rift by Unrivaled Super Hottie 2021-10-07T00:29:10Z

I think that the concept has potential, but the polish needed to pull it off just was not there. Focus on making your world fun to move around in first, and then get around to things like music, graphics, advanced mechanics and the like. Valiant effort, keep practicing, I want to see you get better!

A totally normal Pacman by Leandro4002 2021-10-07T01:57:52Z

A very entertaining interactive joke that I thoroughly enjoyed. Only got to the bit with da janky hitboxes, so I don't know how much goodness I missed out on.

@kkbf123 You woke the Black Spire. Well done. Thank you so much for playing, we are thrilled you enjoyed it!

W O B B L E by Gus Goucher 2021-10-05T06:23:10Z

@big-play-ben Oh my god you are going to make my heart melt that is some high praise :DDD Thank you so much for playing!!

W O B B L E by Gus Goucher 2021-10-05T06:24:52Z

@yuko I guess I'd prefer too hard over too easy, thank you so much for playing!!!

W O B B L E by Gus Goucher 2021-10-05T06:25:40Z

@osh-studio The character design was a complete happy accident, we couldn't be more happy that it turned out like that! Thank you so much for playing and reviewing!

W O B B L E by Gus Goucher 2021-10-05T06:27:22Z

@aevek I'm so glad you thought it was paced well, we were really worried about that and making sure it wasn't overwhelming and your feedback means a lot! Thank you so much!!

W O B B L E by Gus Goucher 2021-10-05T06:30:03Z

@ivysly We are going to cry from all these wonderful comments, thank you so much for the review!!!

W O B B L E by Gus Goucher 2021-10-05T06:31:20Z

@cad Thank you so much for the playthrough and review!! We're really glad you liked the aesthetic, going 1-bit(ish) was definitely the right move in retrospect.

W O B B L E by Gus Goucher 2021-10-05T21:19:45Z

@rubr We're glad you enjoyed it! Gus and I are very pleased with how it came out, and seeing all these incredible comments is probably the most wonderful experience a game dev can have. I see that you have your own game that looks pretty killer. I'm about to go check that out now.

W O B B L E by Gus Goucher 2021-10-05T23:12:04Z

@zain Thanks for playing! This was my (Braeden) first time trying to do pixel art and music for a full project, so it's really encouraging to see others enjoying it! Gus helped me out with some software tips and taking care of the tile set and a couple tracks of his own.

W O B B L E by Gus Goucher 2021-10-05T23:53:17Z

@rufson We appreciate you taking the time to check W O B B L E out. We lost so much sleep to this project, and the amount of homework I have to catch up on is ridiculous (Gus was responsible and managed to get it done before hand), so we're glad it was worth it. After Sun looks killer, I'm looking forward to playing it!

W O B B L E by Gus Goucher 2021-10-06T15:42:19Z

@javasaurus Hey there. I hope you know how important your comment is to me. The whole reason I'm in college for Game Design and participating in this Jam is because of the intense emotions tied to memories of playing games with my father in wacky ways. To see that something I helped to create gave someone else the opportunity to create those memories is beyond incredible. I will likely be framing your comment and setting it up in my workspace. Thank you so much for playing!

W O B B L E by Gus Goucher 2021-10-06T15:56:28Z

@vectrex28 You're incredible! Thanks for playing our game, we really appreciate it! It gets hard after a while to say thank you in different ways, but I mean every word! Also, sick Metroid profile pic, it's my favorite franchise of all time.

Failing 4 You by Plutonium Powered 2021-10-07T02:05:46Z

Some of the textures could use some work in terms of getting them to connect with one another. I was intrigued by the story, but the long death animations and punishing respawns combined with some rough platforming made it hard for me to get through. Very nice music!

Hellbamb by Alopar 2021-10-07T04:15:39Z

The visuals are insanely good, and all the animations are super nice. Unfortunately, the gameplay wasn't as engaging as I'd like it to be. I wish there was some kind of challenge other than trial and error. Thank you for submitting this, it was certainly a neat experience.

AFTER SUN by rufson 2021-10-07T03:02:43Z

My guy, this one slapped. I'm on my way to the hospital. I'm dying. THe slalp. GADDDOmmmmm

AFTER SUN by rufson 2021-10-07T03:05:22Z

But really though, well done. This game is gorgeous and the loop is super entertaining, and the incidental humor from accidentally killing survivors is really good. I think the only thing that needs a little bit of work is making the collection phase a bit more engaging. Thanks so much for making this, it was a blast!

Insanis Sphaera by DAk001 2021-10-07T00:34:40Z

It was rather hard to tell what type of particle I was looking at, and the HUD in the top right was a bit confusing. I think that the concept was super neat, and the approach was 'almost' there, the controls just needed to be a bit more intuitive.

Gunstable by Rohan Akki 2021-10-05T22:39:22Z

Music is fun and the concept has potential. Some more visual feedback for damaging enemies would be nice, and more variety with the enemies would really push this game to some interesting heights!

Snake Using Windows by Benjamin Halko 2021-10-07T00:55:03Z

Very interesting idea, but it's just snake. I'm sure a lot of effort went into it, and you should be proud of your accomplishment. Keep making games, please!

Poverty boy by minidavid 2021-10-05T05:54:59Z

Very good and nice (:

UKI by Shea Kelly 2021-10-07T04:40:45Z

I'm glad to see you putting yourself out there despite some very obvious flaws. That takes courage. I enjoyed the color choices for your environments, and I got really excited when I saw black and red for the area after the Nail Boy fight. Work on providing more visual feedback to the player for things like damage, and of course patch up those game breaking glitches. Just a heads up, the player can move Uki during the opening cutscene. Keep working at it, don't give up!

Nuclear Beer Factory by Gr3yKnigh1 2021-10-07T01:43:26Z

The environment art was very pretty. I could not hear the music that people are talking about, but it looks like that's been covered already. I liked the dragging sensitivity, (or rather lack thereof) I just wish there was more to do gameplay wise.

HELP HATE IS EVERYWHERE. CANT STOP IT GOD by ashikurofuto 2021-10-07T01:30:36Z

Made my tummy liverize. Your art is.

HELP HATE IS EVERYWHERE. CANT STOP IT GOD by ashikurofuto 2021-10-07T01:31:40Z

In all seriousness though, visually and audibly, you've got some really neat stuff going. There wasn't much game going on here, though, very basic in that regard.

Unstable by freitas 2021-10-07T01:00:50Z

Playing an actual GameBoy game was super neat, and I liked the implementation of buggy garbage stuff. Controls did not feel very nice, and the intense flashing from the glitch mechanic was brutal on the eyes. Nice music!

Unstable City by Spike Studio 2021-10-07T00:50:27Z

We had a lot of fun playing this game, but only because it was busted. I made the worst city in the world, Casinos and Factories everywhere, that was it. Happiness was in the tank, -49, and we still had people coming in in droves. Music was ambitious, but the dissonance was very unpleasant to listen to. Keep going and you'll get better with time! Art was very nice, and the controls functioned rather well. Good job!

Diamonds in the Rough by animawish 2021-10-07T03:34:18Z

Very neat concept. The fact that it was simple worked really well in tandem with the variety of game modes. Everyone involved (three of us) enjoyed the tension and uncertainty. Well done! An expanded version might include some audio, maybe more polished art (big maybe, the current style is very charming), and new card types.

Castle of Chaos by almightyzentaco 2021-10-07T03:42:22Z

First actually funny game we've come across so far. The voice acting was absolutely worth the effort, and the random effects were incredibly entertaining. We couldn't tell if some of the visual assets were stock or not, but regardless they looked very nice. Well done!
