That altar view is gorgeous, love it!

dogshroom 2024-04-16 12:24

Great idea, amazing art. Loved your game!

rokevicius 2024-04-16 12:25

Altar View, wow! Can I ask how those "green fumes" were achieved?

fabighindaru 2024-04-16 12:27

Outstanding art style and aesthetics! I didn't manage to get too far but I enjoyed it anyway.

Great work guys!

Got a lot of good Hades art style vibes from this one. Unfortunately the depth of it doesn't go beyond the surface.

minjutin 2024-04-16 12:28

It surely looks good, I need an artbook out of this game. I didn't have enough patience to experiement with different combinations and tried to add same things multiple times. Which is unfortunate since I wanted to see all creatures :')

maren-holm 2024-04-16 12:29

cool game! love the art style and the vocal effects haha

namnam 2024-04-16 12:29

I like the concept and the art style ! With better controle, somthing like drag and drop more fast passed game and more thing to do with the creature, it could be a cool feature game !

telkan 2024-04-16 12:35

Wonderful art style, unfortunately i did soft lock myself immediately but after a restart I understood how the game worked. Great job!

rubikon 2024-04-16 12:35

Art is outstanding

First of all, almost missed that the game was actually playable for me (mac user) as I'm not used to them being embed in the LD site itself. But glad I did notice and managed to play it. But this scroll issue thing really annoyed me. Enough that I had to go digging around in css with dev tools and fix it to see it all.

Would this be considered beating it?

It was pretty darn interesting to try find them all. Basically pretty much seeing the unknown recipes when getting a "hint" felt a bit cheap and cheaty. But without it was just too random and tedious. Maybe the hints should cost something and could then reveal the ingredients one by one to make it bit of a less "here is the answer". Or could give more general hints like how many ingredients, maybe the character pic as a hint to get ideas like "made of opals so it must be one of the ingredients needed" or even a more lore(ish) description of the creature in question to get more vague hints that way.

Like for the first half of my play through I was really confused on how to get materials because I thought you'd get them on creature sacrifice, not by just having them in your party. But then it clicked and the rest became a breeze.

One big quality of life thing (that would have made my resource generation issue easier too) would be to allow checking your party of creatures that which resources they generate. You only saw it once and then either had to remember them all.

Kinda funny that one of the hardest to get materials is the one you start with. And if you're an idiot like me and waste them all before understanding any of the mechanics really, you can get yourself in some big trouble later on.

Awesome art! And so much of it too for some cool creatures that you basically only see once for a split second and then never again. Music fit the mood well too.

Could have wrapped this thing in a mask component so that it doesn't overflow when scrolling.

Awesome job! 👍

An incredibly beautiful game with a ton of content, and it's all very well-executed in terms of style.

I unlocked all the creatures but still couldn't figure out the resource allocation algorithm - who produces how much. The game is addictive, it's a shame there wasn't a final dialogue with Mr. Bird =)

I also used the magnifying glass feature on the recipes. Maybe I could have done without it, but I gave in pretty quickly.

Super cool game!

I really liked this game! You guys are great!

Hi! godlike art style, amazing work and care, even the vfx. Thanks

shaneshanekavanagh 2024-04-17 17:42

Great style, love it!

As everyone already mentioned (and as undoubtedly you know yourself, hehe) the artstyle is crazy good. Creatures are abundant and well drawn, the animations are nice and everything in general looks really well.

However, your choice to make creatures with diminishing hitpoints is honestly frustrating beyond measure. The long summoning animation started to irritate because I constantly have to summon excess of creatures to feed the others. So this choice I didn't like, but otherwise the game is really cool.

The production quality is incredible, congratulations to the entire team! Like others have mentioned, I struggled to understand what the information related to creatures meant, and how the resource generation worked. I did rituals randomly, testing the new resources I acquired, but without much idea of how to progress logically... But this game is one of the best entries I've seen in the jam so far, so once again congratulations to the entire team !

If I could I would put 6 stars to the graphics category, it's stunning! Kudos to you :D The mechanics remind me of those alchemy games where you have to find the combinations between the various elements, i liked it. Congrats :)

Great style really! It's a pity there's no full screen button so I had to play in the viewbox that is a bit too small for the game.

At first play-through, I think I rapidly and accidentally got soft-locked out of any progression. I soon found myself only with fins and claws and no matter what I did in combinations or numbers I only got the claw-producing and fin producing animals.

Second I got much further and could probably have completed the game. But I must admit I kind of ran out of steam after a while. It might just be that the genre doesn't get me very engaged. But having to re-summon creatures and farm up coins to get the next thing and such. There wasn't really a risk reward. And the split between managing your herd and exploring possibilities kind of went in opposing directions.

The game loop could perhaps also been a bit sped up with simply summoning when you click to do so and not require another confirm on the summoning scene. I'm also wondering if the management after each summon could be a bit more streamlined or more involved.

But all in all a very good jam entry, and as I started out, the graphics is really great!

A great, atmospheric game, the visuals are stunning!

megalukes 2024-05-01 00:53

Interesting mechanic and gorgeous graphics. All I could point out it that the game is bit slow and repetitive imo. Great entry anyway!

locksmitharmy 2024-05-01 22:13

Everything looks so goooood
