Unstable Towers by mrnannings 2021-10-07T16:22:38Z
This is lovely! I wasn't sure how much fun it was going to be but it was a lovely implementation and really smoothly done. The music was great too.

What a fantastic concept and implementation. I love simple mechanics that really give you something to master; it may have taken me 50 attempts but the exhilaration when I got to the top of the wall climb was great! I'll come back and play this one again.
That was certainly a very sexy boobie! One of the most fun games we've played, bravo!
I found the difficulty a little too high (and as someone else said, the respawn time too long considering how much I was dying!) but the game looks and sounds great, and that was enough for me to keep at it and get better at the controls. Good work!
This is marvelous! I love Callum!
This is great! Really nice idea, and really easy to pick up. I love the characters too. I played it through (successfully!) but had to play again to see what would happen when they collide!
What a wonderful mechanic! One of the few games I've played all the way through. Really cute graphics and I love how you use the mechanic once it is introduced.
That was really fun! I agree with the comment about the buttons moving, I'd me watching the chaos, clicking away, not realising the button had moved! I really enjoyed that.
Hahaha. I saw you post about this when it was under development and I'm so happy you finished it! I nearly wet myself when she danced her way on screen :D Bravo!!
This ran well for me too! And while the controls also felt swapped, it made it more challenging. I admit my main tactic was to angle the delivery pad towards the target and then fire both to zoom towards it :D
This was really fun and meets the theme nicely!
I love the idea and the tutorial did a good job of explaining how to play. I would have loved more labels in the game but good work. I enjoy having to blow up the reactor to leave too!!
What a stunning game! Looks and sounds amazing and I loved the voiceover. One (potentially game breaking, so I think you are allowed to fix it) bug - I would occasionally get stuck kicking, and then unable to jump or kick again. Usually if I jump onto the first haybale and kick the next one.
This looks great, reminded me of my favourite console platform games! The movement was nice and smooth.
I did find that the itch.io layout/theme was too large, I'm playing on a 1080p television and I had to scroll to find the game :)
I loved this! What a unique idea. It was just fast enough to be challenging and reduce us to giggles as I tried and failed to get everything washed and on in time. The music was really sweet and the cow graphics were great too!
I really enjoyed this! It was a nice idea and fun to play. The music was good too.
The text ("don't worry, it's not hard", etc.) felt a little in the way, it might have been better to fade that out after a few seconds, but it wasn't a big problem and was still fun to play! Thanks!
I saved it! And then went back and didn't. You say it's a very little game but I thought it was really cool how this used video!
This really made me giggle! I got stuck a few times, possibly due to odd collision maps around the landmarks, but this was a fun game and a novel idea. Well done!
This looks absolutely beautiful (and the music and sounds are great too). I did struggle to know what the objective of the game was (keep them on the log or coax them off the log?), I think some instructions (even on the LD page) would go a long way :) Still really fun and amazing achivement!
Haha! What a wonderful idea and executed with utter chaos! That was lots of fun!
I loved that, what a great idea. The difficulty ramped up nicely and there were some nice suprises with the power-ups. Really fun good-looking game, well done!
Thanks @DzejPi, and that's a weird one! I'll see if I can figure out what's causing that.
Oh and the boat will sink when it's unbalanced, you can usually do that by putting a fat bear on the very edge. It will then take on water and sink, the bear will die, and the boat will float back to the surface.
I intended to add something to alert that the boat needed to be right against the shore but ran out of time! :(
Thank you @liam! I think more click-feedback would have been an improvement, there's a few times when you're blocked but don't know why.
And thank you @gimbalock! Drag and drop would have been a nice addition (and annoyingly, I can totally think how to implement it in a few lines lol!)
Thank you both for the feedback
Thanks @jupiter-hadley, that's so cool! I'm really excited that folks are playing it, so it's extra exciting to actually see a recording!
@bloodbane Thanks for the feedback! You're right, it's a bit too easy to send the boat away when it is empty. The bear weights/sizes are random, so there's a chance you'll get several medium-size bears in a row and only be able to fit in two at a time. I think with more time I'd made that less random and introduce increasing difficulty!
Thanks @yodda! I totally agree, I think my lesson learnt for next time is to allow more time for audio. The bears deserve some cute noises as they walk about!
Thanks for the feedback @derek-volker, @shootboots , @funemaker! I agree and would have liked to make the difficulty increase. Currently the more boat crossings you make, regardless of number of bears, the higher the waves get. The idea was that if you were more efficient with your bear placement, you could get more bears across before it got harder. But as you noticed, the higher waves don't add that much of a challenge (they just increase the chance of it sinking due to the angle). I think with more time, I could have tweaked that, but I'd also have liked to make the size of the bears in the queue part of the difficulty curve too! I might come back for that afterwards! :)
@michael-faragher Thanks! I've noticed that too, there are a few times when the game will "refuse" a click for whatever reason and it really isn't clear.
@rustywolf Thanks!! I quite liked having to "push" the boat along but perhaps a boat-pilot or opening a sail would have been less clicky! I did try and figure out how to stack the bears, jenga style, as I agree that would have been hilarious. It was too much for the time we had and my JavaScript physics skills unfortunately :D
@poovi Thank you! That's intentional - for now at least, I'll add dragging and dropping once the rating is over and we can make changes. I agree that would have been better! :)
@nshbae Ha! I was just watching JUSTCAMH play it on Twitch and he initially thought it was the game with the fox and chickens. Maybe everyone could start eating each other!
Thanks @mikoziq! I definetly wanted more bleepy cheerful music but I got carried away with what you heard and then ran out of time
@justcamh Thanks so much! I loved watching you play - a lot of the buggyness you found was the lack of feedback when the game refuses a mouse click. Something definitely to address later! And I still don't understand why there's an occasionally very dense bear. The stream was great, I kept it on for the next few hours while I worked :smile_cat:
Thanks so much @erkberg! It was great fun watching you play the game. I agree that stacking the bears would have been much more fun but I couldn't find a way to do that in the time I had!
