Nice entry! Shaders and music are really cool

karln 2024-04-16 22:14

That was fun :) It took me a couple of tries to figure out that summoning demons costs candles, but once I had that down it went okay. Well done!

fenix131113 2024-04-16 22:14

Very interesting game and amazing art!

rockers 2024-04-16 22:17

Cool game, quite difficult!

20akshay00 2024-04-16 22:18

Excellent visuals, music and game play. I don't have much else to say, its really fun to play and sets a coherent tone adhering to the theme. Great job!

I absolutely love this game! An obvious 5/5 for me. It's like Slay the Spire with its own flare :candle: and the card system is well thought-out. I liked the sound & music, the gameplay was responsive, nice graphics & animations, everything seems very polished. I like that you can randomly drag the cards around when you acquire them.

Really enjoyed this. Really easy to understand and pick up and a nice little bit of strategy to actually succeed. The music was a touch loud, but its a minor thing in an otherwise super cool little game.

Congrats on your game!

Really cool game! Had fun playing it and I like its visual style.

Amazing game! Love the rune mechanics, it brings another layer of complexity for already working formula. Managing candle light can be tough sometimes since card drops feels pure random, you can end up stacking a lot of useless (for that moment) demon upgrades, but can't summon more demons if you have only one candle lit. Overall, really solid loop, wish there was a replay button!

matthieu-riboulot 2024-04-16 22:22

Very nice graphically, a bit too difficult I think.

zanar 2024-04-16 22:22

The mix of genre is really cool! The graphics are pretty and I like the music (but too loud XD). Good job!

quinnster 2024-04-16 22:23

Really fun! The aesthetic was really cool and the shaders were so clean. I could totally see this idea be expanded on.

valcka 2024-04-16 22:23

A very beautiful game! Graphically nothing to say. The sound is way too loud though, too bad we can't adjust it! As for the gameplay, we're having fun, the external game is innovative, it respects the theme well, well done!

janinna21 2024-04-16 22:24

I love the idea and IT was fun playing. And the music is lit!🤟🏽❤️

pixel-studios 2024-04-16 22:26

This is a great game. It was easy to learn, however I kept getting game overs, but I'm not the best. It perfectly incorporated the theme, with beautiful graphics and audio. Great game, good luck

magnat 2024-04-16 22:27

this game is amazing, very cool graphics, I really liked your shaders, the music is very good (with it's slowing effects it's perfect) and gameplay is good.

khelian 2024-04-16 22:32

I really like the concept and the pixel art style ! Cool game !

deborah-messaoudene 2024-04-19 13:27

Oh woooow ! The game is really cool, I especially like the feeling of clicking at the star and see the demon apparition, I almost felt my fingers vibrating. So cool, great gameplay too. :)

OMGGGGGGGG IT WAS SOOOOO FUN. I REALLY LOVE MECHANICS, PROGRESSION AND DIFFICULTY. I can't imagine how difficult was to balance it!! You did really great job!

buloz 2024-04-22 20:07

Bro this is lit I loved every bit of it. I loved the effects, on background, the light, the music going slow... This is really cool

digital-bacon 2024-04-24 10:46

Excellent game! Really enjoyed the deckbuilding mechanics and the variety of strategies available. Very well done!

brainles-etertainment 2024-04-24 19:52

Visuals and animations are charming, a real eye-candy, especially a play with lights. Mechanics are easily understandable (although I am not a fan of card games). As for me, it is one of the best entries in this event. Author should definitely continue development and turn it into a full-fledged game. Special respect for using a VGA font, it reminded me about my childhood and hours spent in DOS :)

dams333 2024-04-24 20:28

Really cool game, the graphics, the sound design, the gameplay, there is everything, congrats ! I really love the global mood of the game

20akshay00 2024-04-24 21:54

Solid game loop! I did have a bit difficulty progressing very far but that's likely a skill issue :P The visuals are really well made and used quite nicely (particularly I liked the screen shakes and the satisfying burn effect for the cards). Along with the music, the atmosphere of the game hits just right. Overall, its super polished and fun to play!

Really fancy looking game! All those different effects really elevated the feel of the game. I got to the second to last stage, I think.

First time around I killed myself, because I didn't notice that summoning cause a candle to go out. Perhaps the lighting of the scene could have become a bit darker or more focus had been put on it so that the player doesn't miss that. Which also led to me killing myself because I was summoning away a bit too eagerly.

As with the stages progression, given that you presented more or less perfect information from start, it kind of removed the need for choice there almost. Or so it felt. It didn't seem to be a strategic benefit to do fights so why chose those that had more fights?

If I the paths were a bit more interconnected and you only got to know the options for the next step once you completed a stage, then that might have made for interesting choices on the stages view. Basically I didn't see much of risk-reward going into it. So it could just as well been a linear path.

The game was hard too, and a bit unsure what really I could have done better in the end. My thinking was summon as many as possible, use heal so that all of them get new health and hope for the best. I don't feel like my timing was that off so what I'm angling for here is that I'm wondering if there's some balancing of the difficulty that is a bit off.

To be clear, the actions down to the details of how they were implemented were really nice. It's more that when I lost, I didn't feel like "lets try another and see if I can get it better" because I didn't really understand what I should have done differently.

Really solid entry!

I liked this one a lot, despite being rather short. The gameplay was very intuitive. What I probably loved the most was the artstyle, the overall mood and the very fitting music. Great job!

parkuhrmd 2024-04-26 20:38

A wonderful game with many cool and intersecting mechanics! A lot of risk & reward with polished graphics and a cool music track. I managed to beat the boss after three attempts!

ultrarat 2024-04-29 04:40

Wow, you have a lot of layers that got in, very fun. Really impressed with getting all the connective bits like the map and choices together for a jam. The main thing that seemed missing was not having a way to view my current health and candle status on the card choice screen.

dyingwolfwood 2024-04-30 00:22

Very interesting game idea. I felt that the mechanics were designed for fun, and initially the game was pretty tough, but after a few minutes I learned that one of the mechanics might be a bit overpowered as I was able to use only it and win the game. Great game overall though, I really enjoyed it! Thanks for making it. :)

freshd 2024-04-30 17:12

This was really nice! Love the graphics and sound (+ the slow down outside the level). I had a lot of fun! Great job!

skyler-newsome 2024-05-01 01:37

I LOVED this! The soundtrack was awesome, and the slowing of the sounds between levels was absolutely sick. Great concept, beautiful art, overall really well done!
