Great game, I really enjoyed it. Loved the graphics, and I like what you did with the theme with the analog scp horror element. I also really liked the puzzle aspect, using coding to unlock doors and whatnot feels really unique to me and I found it to be really cool - it was pretty simple coding stuff but it still gave me the feeling like I was hacking into stuff lol but seriously I'm impressed with it, seemed I was even able to code stuff unrelated to the puzzles so it's like you put an actual lua compiler in there. Also love the sound effects, especially while doing the lua programming. The keyboard clicks sounded really satisfying haha. I wasn't able to figure out what I was supposed to do after the getting the files though, without spoiling anything I'm guessing nothing else happening after that was supposed to be intentional? If so I like the idea. Also I don't know if this was a bug but when I was told to find some sort of keycard or whatever it was, I was able to just progress straight to the elevator without finding any sort of keycard. I was also able to wonder off into the void in the beginning area, not sure if that was intentional or not.
The game looks nice and I would love to play more of it. However the movement is so painfully slow! I think it would be more enjoyable if it didn't take forever to cross the screen.
Hehe, it was funny!
Awesome mood and graphics! I loved the eerie voice and tapes! Congrats!
Good vibe and execution of the videos
That was very interesting. I loved the art, though, and for some reason the AI voices worked well to set the atmosphere.
Are you saying Lua is Old Tech by now? It's only... 33 years old?? Oh no...
Great atmosphere, nice puzzles, I agree that the movement could be a bit faster but it was no big issue. I'm not sure if I got to an ending, though. !>I got into the backrooms and my phone says "No Signal" but nothing else happens. Is the ending that I'm trapped there forever now?
I absolutely love those old-school instructional videos! The atmosphere is so well done, it genuinely gave me goosebumps!
Unfortunatelly, I removed algoryth from 1st terminal and I wasn't reset after exit(((
I like programming in general and in games in particular, so I really enjoyed this!
It was lacking a bit in ambient sounds and music which would have fit perfectly here, but time was limited, I understand that. I don't know if it's planned, but when I tried to open the phone in the 'back rooms' game, it just crashed, lol.
Nice game. Cool that you had a lua interpreter in here.
Very cool game. The audio ambience was very well realized, and the tapes and lua puzzles were such a good idea for the theme ! !>I wish the ending was more descriptive lmao cause I spent a good 5 minutes roaming the backrooms looking for something to do. But overall very cool project, good job !
I’m enjoying the game! **The atmosphere is its strongest point**, supported by fantastic art and sound. I really enjoyed going through the tapes and using the terminals.
Unfortunately, I haven’t encountered any hostile entities yet, possibly because **the game crashes and closes on the third level** for me.
Really cool concept! Mixing horror with actual Lua programming is something I definitely didn't expect to see in this jam. As someone who's into programming, I really like the idea of having to write code to interact with old equipment and explore an abandoned bunker. It's a pretty creative way to use the Old Tech theme.
The whole setting sounds creepy too, especially the idea of going deeper into a facility where everything is falling apart. I love seeing games that try something different with their mechanics instead of just making another typical horror game. Really interesting work, guys!
