Having trouble jumping on the ledges to the right.
Great work on the character, I'm not sure if it's the eyes or something else but it really gives it this claymatic feeling that works well. Platforming using the edges of the box was fun too! Not too sure what the point of collecting/dropping items was but maybe I didn't play far enough. In any case, good work!
Funny game. Really enjoyed the music sound and art. especially the shop keepers. I did find the camera was a little too zoomed in and it took me a while to figure out where i was supposed to go in the last level, but it also kinda added to the zaniness of the game
Absolutly great. I would like to controll volume + a tutorial, hogy to use the box to hang.
I could have used some checkpoints but this was fun and silly and that's my jam.
Super cool game! Like the way the hero doing splits. And the audio effects.
I really liked the mechanic of catching ledges with the box, it worked quite well! And you rarely see non-square or sphere shaped hitboxes in platformers, so kudos for that.
Otherwise the game was a bit too hard for me (I just can't get past the bouncy floor + red wall combo on level 1), but I still had a lot of fun!
Interesting game with a tied bond of the theme limited space!
Absolutely interesting game. Levels and game difficulty are well balanced.
this had my favorite music of any game so far, well done!
the controls are quite fiddly, but maybe that's intentional. made me smile overall : )
Couldn't jump onto the platform over the gap. Relaxing music and interesting interaction with the block above the character. The game's difficulty seems to be 'above average'.
@zissou @irinam @ditam and whomever else is having trouble: Totally sorry, I did make the game difficult, but I had hoped that it wouldn't be unconquerable. I've posted a video walk-through of the first level to demonstrate how the hanging works, hope it helps, and thanks for playing.

Seriously i LOVE the character animation LOL, it's so difficult maybe more easy to finish the game in less tries can be better in a jam, not every time more it's better.
Well done! Take a candy! :candy:
I've updated the game to 1.0.1 to fix the instructional text being cut off on Linux Firefox (you can see the bug in the walkthrough video) and made a few balance tweaks to make the game less difficult.
Super nice concept, having a platformer with a different collision shape can change a lot and bring such good mechanics. Well done for this jam entry.
It's like grapling hook, but grapling box)
On first level I've got only blue items everywhere, and only after level exit I've understand that NPCs require different items...
WOW
What an entry. So many things I like about it, and it all really comes together nicely into a great package. This felt like a complete game covering all the bases.
The music was a real stand-out, with strong sfx as well. I was already impressed with the level one theme, but then you topped it with that jammin sax tune on level two, and brought it home with the creepy finale song to complement the blinking eyes and moments of terror like this:

The character animation really worked well and added a lot to the feel of playing. Controls were solid -- sometimes the box-grab on the corner didn't quite work how I expected (there's a zone where you wiff if you're either TOO far into the platform, or maybe if you start too close and are already overlapping as you enter?) But for such a tricky mechanic, I was impressed that it worked very intuitively.
Levels were tough but not unfair, and the threat of losing all my items made it worth it when I nailed it. I accidentally bounced up into the exit of level two right away in my first play through, and the song/feel of that level was something I had to go back and experience, so I did another play through.

The fact that I could progress without a full kit also helped take the edge off frustration with some of the blind-faith jumps and other tricky parts. When I fell down the well with the bounce-walls, I was like "COME ON NOW" but actually I nailed the ascent on my first try, another cool moment.
Congrats on this entry, I think it's really good.
Very fun animation and concept but the management killed me
Really weird... even more at the end. At first i though I was going to play the easiest sudoku ever with strange arts but it turn to be a platformer. Apparently you had fun creating this game, I had fun playing it.
Unfortunately got stuck in the section with the moving platforms, but interesting movement mechanics though a bit floaty. If you didnt, try adding 'coyote time' to allow you to jump after running off an edge for a few frames, that really helps with platformer feel.
Well done and great submission!
