Looks interesting and similar to my game, I would like to play it but it's only available in EXE. Are you able to compile this for another platform?
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD44 → LifeMutation

Pretty fun little game! The upgrading mechanic is nice, but seems a little buggy too (could sometimes click mutate even if I didn't have enough lives). It's pretty fast-paced, dodging the bullets is kinda hard but at some point you just don't care anymore :) Some sounds / music would've been great. Still enjoyed this quite a bit, good job!
@tolmera I am currently using Gamemaker Studio 2 to develop this game and I only have a windows licence so unfortunately no, I can't compile to other platforms.
I like the concept! It's like a 1 player IO game! One thing that could be improved is the Mutate menu because clicking on the item didn't do anything. Other than that, good job! :)
It was hard to look at the numbers while everything was moving, more contrast would help. I also wish the projectile was a little slower and easier to see. Very good for you first time using Game maker.
Hi! I like the game, art and the idea!
But when I pressed upgrades in Mutate menu nothing really happened. Then I pressed Mutate and I lost hearts but my character doesn't change in any way...
It was confusing. Also enemies that shoot projectiles are annoying.
@jestemstefan just to clarify about mutating when you press the mutate button it converts your hearts to life cores then you can spend those life cores to buy new characters by clicking their cards. The red character costs 2 core which is 20 life and the other character costs 10 cores which is 100 life you don't lose cores on death so it can be smart to slowly bank them up.
@sparkysam5 Ow. It wasn't obvious at all. You should send game to people and ask what they don't understand!
Feedback is great!
the mutation is confusing as fuk, i cannot motate to the same stuff, but at any moment i can convert my self to 5 hp and die after one sec.... yeaaaaaah...
i would have suggested to give me back my health if i cant spend it.
and second suggestion upload the zip file for the v2. because i for example wont install anything. anyway i played the zip lodum dare version would have played v2 maybe there some issues are fixed. but i wont install v2 just to play.
Quite good for the first game, good job! I had a lot of troubles with shooting enemies, the projectile but also movement of your character could be a bit slower. Also I noticed that you can actually die when your mutate menu is on, which is really annoying. I also couldn't notice anything changed when clicking on mutations, so I considered that part bugged. But I had fun, the game was a big frantic fight for survival and the progression of you getting bigger was really satisfying. Overall, great job!
The game was a bit confusing at first, but once I understood it I had a lot of fun. Great entry!
Thanks for all the feedback everyone! Everyone seems a little confused on how to play so I'll upload a play through video later today on itch.io that will hopefully help clarify anything.
it plays a bit like agar.io
Nice game. A bit like spore ;D
Well done on the game. It was fun but was very difficult at the same time. I did not like the controls. I would have made it just by using the mouse to control your character. Overall it was not bad.
Nice game. Reminds me of agar.io. This would work really well on mobiles.
It was a little confusing at first. It needs some UI work to make things more clear, especially the mutation part. Apart from that, the game is fun. Good job!
Interesting little game for sure! Well done.
