Fun game, good job :)
I see that this is your first game: **welcome to Ludum Dare, and congratulations on completing your project in 3 days!**
Please remember that to get a score at the end of Ludum Dare you'll need to have rated around 20-25 other games! You currently have rated none... Check out the [Games list](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/44/games)!
An infinite runner with multiple lanes is an interesting concept, but I'm finding that understanding exactly which lane the coin is in is pretty hard... Maybe use colors to distinguish between the lanes, instead of coins of different values?
The shop items are extremely expensive... There's no way I'm going to be able to afford any of them in a reasonable time... I've earned $6 in 10 minutes, I'd need to play for 4 hours to afford the first power up ($150)... I think that $1, $3, $6 and $12 would be better.
I am coin.
Also, please mark your game as "for Windows" on itch.io, so it can be downloaded on the itch app! :)

Great tagline! "You are coin. Get more coin. Coin is love, coin is life. Upgrade to coin better" For those who are completionists, there's something here for you. You'll be playing for quite a long while before you get any of the shop upgrades! I think there's a whimsy and a simplicity in how the theme was incorporated into this game, it's very pure. You are literally currency, and your whole life revolves around currency. Some of the currency could definitely be worth more so shop purchases can actually be made in our human lifetime. Cool game, simple concept, challenging. 3.5 overall score!
Incredibly grindy, more coin variance with something more than pennies and quarters would be welcomed to speed up gameplay
Nice entry! I like the idea and the main gameplay mechanics, but they could've been implemented in a more user-friendly way. The jumping seems slow and drawn out, and while not bad necessarily I think giving the player more controllable jumps would've made the game more interesting. Allowing the player to move the coin left and right would help them to better avoid the enemies too. I feel like a lot of people are going to mention this, but the upgrades are way too expensive. I do like how there's a bank system where your money can accumulate between rounds, but if they earn $3 a round and can't upgrade until $150 then hardly any players are ever going to see the upgrades. The game fits the theme well and does everything else pretty well though, so good job on that
Great entry and welcome to the jams! Amazing effort and I look forward to seeing more in future jams! :)
Interesting entry. I get the mechanics and I like the idea. The perspective is baffling as it is though... maybe it's the fact that the coins seem to have random sizes and not something consistent with perspective. Having shadows beneath the coins is helpful, but it's still really difficult to play.
The exacting, unforgiving hitboxes around the burglar sprites and fact the player coin doesn't have a lot of control over speed of movement means losing out on a lot of opportunities as the burglars seem to time themselves to run right over coins a lot of the time. I think that's more due to RNG being particularly unfair, though. It might be nice if the player coin had some left/right movement control and if the coins matched perspective some. Also, make the burglar a little more forgiving (such as let the player have it if they're over half the body height of the burglar or something)
Finally, to be blunt, with upgrades at $150 and higher (and me only being able to get like $.50 a run before getting overwhelmed) I'm gonna say there's no chance I'll get to see what they do. However, I really like that the amount you own saves even after closing/reopening. That's great that you added that.
Interesting take on the theme. Good job
I like the core concept, and multi-row runners are always up my alley. I had a hard time telling which row the enemies were in though. The music was good also, but maybe a bit too loud relative to the sound effects. Good stuff!
A funny simple concept. It's a bit difficult to visually figure out which lane the coins are on unless you focus quite hard on the shadows. Same for the enemies.
Agree with difficulty to figure out where coins are. Also myself had problem with relatively slowly looking speed of your avatar compered to enemies. It was hard to get used to
I liked to play this however (and i think it has been said before) the fact that the coins have different sizes on the same lane makes it a bit hard to play. I do recognize that the shadows are on the floor of the lane that they are for but for me that was to much things to keep an eye on (the play the coins the shadows and the enemies) but i might just be bad at games like this. I did like that you could switch of lanes tough.
Well done! I enjoyed the music, but the sound effects were a little shrill and loud. In addition it was hard to tell which lane coins were in. Good little game.
This plays a lot like a typical endless runner, but the perspective is sideways instead of head-on, which makes it a LOT harder to play (the shadows were a good idea but insufficient in the heat of the moment). Reasonably fun, the store items were too expensive for me to get to. I really liked the background.
nice mini game~The sound of the game is a little louder.Well doneļ¼
For a first game I think this is pretty good (a lot better than my first game at least). It was a bit hard to make out where the coins were. Somehow the shadows were a bit 'vague' to me?
I like the idea, but it could be improved a lot with a few adjustments. I think the jump for the coin is too floaty, it's hard to time so you'll hit/avoid fast moving objects when you're in the air for so long. It's really hard to tell which lane the enemies/coins are in too as other people have pointed out. I'm not really sure of a good solution for this, maybe if you move the camera up more so that you're looking on the lanes at an angle it would be easier to see. The shop items are really really expensive. Imagine how long it would take you to get $1000 in real life through only pennies, dimes and quarters :P Anyway, I thought it was pretty fun, thanks for making it!
