LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Demon Queen's Possessions by joh 2018-12-05T06:21:18Z

Got to round 11 by using the goat to get the goblinator, good reference there, was a little sad I couldn't auto get the priest but oh well. Fun concept but it's pretty hard since you can't sacrifice down from a 5 star unit to a 3. Overall it's pretty fun.

Bluebonnet Plague by GoatBoatGames 2018-12-04T06:34:51Z

@mouse Thank you for playing our game, the way we used the theme is that you have to mix potions and use the 8 citizens (3 are infected) to find a cure. In order to find what the potions do you had to use the citizens as Guinea pigs. You have to sacrifice their health for the sake of finding a cure. A lot of this got lost in translation unfortunately, we did intend to have clues, though. The sickly citizens will lose health proportional to the amount of symptoms they have, so you can't be careless when crafting potions.

LD44 — Your life is currency

THE SAVER by Gao Ming 2019-05-04T04:50:21Z

The preview showed all of the objects flying away, but in execution he punched 2 and died to one from behind, a little misleading imo.

Zugzwang by riv-roy 2019-05-02T05:00:14Z

I finally killed all of one of the colors and nothing happened, I feel like I'm missing something. I surmised it was supposed to be 2 player but there wasn't any feedback of a winner.

No Pain No Gain by Hagge 2019-05-02T20:51:34Z

Good game, my only criticism is that the turret is automatically powered, which meant I couldn't just aim the turret ahead of time for enemies to come near, but maybe that was the point.

Live for Light by BustosMan 2019-05-02T19:42:50Z

It was difficult to see where I was supposed to land, didn't end up using the ammo. Still was able to complete the level good entry!

BloodVirus by Team-on 2019-05-01T02:01:24Z

Cool concept, I got swarmed by spartans in one playthrough but it didn't seem to matter since after the HP bar depleted to nothing I was still able to hire troops and since there were too many of them they died on impact, so I had to refresh. The second time I made about 20 walls and caused a lot of lag somehow by blocking off the route to the heart, probably because that messed with the pathfinding. Sending troops to what looked like the enemy bases didn't seem to have any effect.

The Last Bank by DKMK100 2019-05-02T04:51:27Z

A/D camera is something others have brought up, but I'd like to suggest that instead of the camera moving so long as it's pressed, 15 degree increments every press so that you can line up the platforms. Something that helped me line up the boxen was making it like a regular platformer (I thought it was lined up but it wasn't)

Evoform by SnowTV 2019-05-01T02:24:02Z

Same as Maou, I got the same issue, after selecting a square to reproduce a unit onto, the unit appears but the UI doesn't update to do anything else, everything becomes unresponsive.

Evoform by SnowTV 2019-05-04T04:30:54Z

The bug was fixed! Interesting concept, took me a while to find out how to evolve my units but when I did the difficulty curve was getting too much for my units. I made it about 6 waves in through kiting the enemies around.

Currency Lane by Cody Nguyen 2019-05-02T05:29:04Z

Incredibly grindy, more coin variance with something more than pennies and quarters would be welcomed to speed up gameplay

BankRoll by Kharibidus 2019-05-01T02:19:19Z

Fun game, didn't realize spacebar did anything until I changed the resolution again but after finding that out I was able to beat it. On the second level I was able to glide to the end and break the wall immediately :dog:

Speedrun Your Life by Kyrios 2019-05-01T01:39:09Z

Cool concept but there were a few issues I ran into (final score was around 4100) Colliding with a platform at the side was a death sentence, provided it wasn't too far away to begin with. There were many leaps of faith which after getting used to the controls I didn't mind, but leaping into a platform was frustrating. attacking while getting hit would buffer the animation, and if you attack you cannot jump, additionally getting hurt interrupts the attacking animation, so if you get swarmed by a few arrows your run is over, even if you were already trying to deal with them (stabbing and overhead swings). This led to a few deaths as well sometimes right before the shop which was really annoying. Getting the movement power up twice didn't seem to have a noticeable effect after the second time. I didn't bother with attack upgrades or extra health since enemies died in 1 hit anyway and movement seemed top priority. Overall it was ok.

Fateshift by dougLima 2019-05-02T20:12:20Z

That was incredibly fun. The fact you didn't lose your items and the later level items didn't scale made it not as frustrating to lose because you could just acquire more items on the way back up. The skill blocks didn't work always with the slower enemies and the fast enemy has a fakeout attack that doesn't give any indication of the attack. My highest floor was 32 and continuously died on 28. Ended up getting about 8 items great entry

Blood and goods by selewi 2019-05-02T20:44:10Z

Very fun game, having to wait for the song to finish before being able to restart put losing into a lull, and not knowing how much HP you were getting from a combat made it hard to wager if the combat was worth pursuing or if you should just pay the toll and take your chances with the next room. Made it up to room 14.

utsvulten by ditto 2019-05-02T20:59:00Z

I liked how it looked relatively normal on the surface, but it was possible to "accidentally" find some of the secrets of the game making it feel very natural to [SPOILERS] the ending was the icing on the cake where you have [SPOILERS] that was really funny.

Meter Maid DX by No Grapes Games 2019-05-04T04:42:30Z

Very cute, I liked the flavor about cops getting you for jaywalking, would have liked for more meters but still pretty entertaining quick game.

Chase the debt by Pierre Cudennec 2019-05-04T04:26:52Z

Fun game, some collision issues. One of the later levels had some sort of problem where the screen would freeze requiring you to press space to get it "going" again, which lead to some deaths. The randomizing which platform colors there were was kind of cool. Would have liked to play more but I ran out of debt. (SPOILERS) I got to the flipped level, that was cool.
