Fun and simple, very well done. Fun surprise that the music shifted as you played.

simple but well-designed concept and cute artstyle !

love the contrast between the atmosphere's stressful and relaxed elements

Interesting mechanics, things as if stick to the tray. Like this pixel art!

Really fun mechanics! Love the mood given by the cat and the barman. I feel like the dropped objects are not visually cued enough time in advance. It makes the game a bit hard for my taste which is a shame because I really like it overall. congrats!

Very cute take on the theme! I like the pixel art a lot, particularly the sleeping kitty and the expression on the waitress's face. Your music, art style, and mechanic all came together very well! Fun challenge and something anyone can pick up and play.

Very fun and addictive, would play this again. Highest score after about 10 tries and I got a highscore of 14. I liked the game mechanic and the pixel art too. Cool game!

adorable and fun.

Immediate yet fun and with a very good rendition of the theme! The music had something of French, I loved it!

I like this game, pixel art is adorable, it was fun to play, the idea is nice too :)

verygenuinecraze 2021-10-10 11:09

Very nice game ! The game is well balanced (Got it ?).

<3 for the croissant from France ;)

Haha like your little game. Moreover the animation of the barman when he throw up all the items xD

bassguitarbill 2021-10-10 11:12

I found the mechanics confusing: I would catch an item, watch the combo go up to x2, catch another item, and watch it fall back to x1. I like the aesthetic a lot, very cute pixel art.

Nice and simple game with a straightforward application of the theme. Taken out of context, the comfortable background art may have been relaxing, but it doesn't conflict with the fast-paced audio and mechanics, giving the game a very nice feel. You've done a nice job of balancing all the game elements to create a fun little experience. Nice work.

xariusexcl 2021-10-10 11:21

Hi @bassguitarbill ! the combo stacks up when you pile items on top of each other back-to-back ;)

gord10ahmet 2021-10-10 17:01

Nice idea. I loved the graphics.

Simple, but effective. That's a really good jam game, because it's actually finished from begin to end. I really liked the sfx and audio you put there. I think it would help a bit, if the items were more visible - it wasn't immediately obvious for me, where the item is - some of them blended a bit too much with background graphics. I know you added light effect - probably for the same reason, but I personally think it's not really enough. Other than that, the moment when you can serve the dishes seems quite odd - after the barman throw 5th item up, but before you actually have the chance to catch it - I assume it was actually meant to be possible after catching 5th item, but it was programmaticaly easier to do it this way, given time constraints (?). These are just small nitpicks, overall it's quite a fun game!

Fantastic! Great idea, use of theme, graphics, and music! At first I didn't understand the combo mechanic. I had fun, well done!

xariusexcl 2021-10-13 17:00

Hey @lisek-gagatek! Thanks for the detailed feedback! To answer your question, serving is enabled by a random timer between 12 and 20 seconds, with no limit as to when you actually serve (to rack up more points at the risk of toppling everything!)

Great entry! Love the concept and the music fits so well.

My mother and I used to play Kaboom on Atari 2600. This felt like a major improvement over the original game. the balancing mechanic was really cool to mess with and added a nice level of challenge.
