Cool game !!
Fun game, went the kill everyone route :)
The premise is awesome! Really like the overall flow of the game, the mood, and the little details (like the vampire architecture). It's all very cohesive.
There are a few typos etc, and the connection between my choices and the outcome didn't feel particularly tight.
Overall, enjoyed this.
Nice game!
The visuals and audio really lent themselves well to the feel of the game, It was nice to have this many options and scores to explore.
The concept fit well with the theme in an interesting way.
Amazing game overall! I loved the main concept, and I have a big crush for story-based games xD
The game looks and sounds great, I especially like the protesting voices.
The concept of the game is cool too, with nice execution. Congrats!
Really great experience. The atmosphere is built up really well.
Also I played with the Linux version and I had no issues with it, so it's no longer untested ;)
@klianc09 Ah, I remember you, the pure rogue-like experience :)
Why am I not surprised that you are using/playing on Linux? :p
I'm glad enjoyed our entry, thanks for the feedback!
Awesome entry, I am really into narrative games, and can say that I was not disappointed with yours.
Pros : - Slight, but successful world-building attempts among the various choices - Varied situations, enough to keep me coming back to the game several times - Great take on the theme - One of the best sound designs/tracks I have heard during a Ludum Dare
Cons : - Having so many choices at the outcome makes everything feel a little artificial, even if your karma is taken in account in some way or another
Overall, fantastic job !
IT'S AWESOME! I really wanted to create a story oriented game like this. I'll take your game as my example from now on. Thank you sensei. Your game opened my mind about how good this kind of games could be. I tried different endings. But man that music was awesome. Keep up your good work!
A unique take on the theme, and refreshing to see a story-driven game! Music and sound was fitting, which increased the mood. As you are using Unity, it is always a good idea to make a WebGL version to attract more players for ratings.
@weine As must as we would have wished that, we used FMOD Studio for the sounds, which make things more complicated for the WebGL version (it's really more desktop driven.)
We would need some times to learn the tricks of FMOD Studio to be able to deliver a WebGL version ^_^
Thanks for your feedback :)
Really nice story. The controls are nice and simple and the graphics are consistent and pleasing to the eye. Well done! If you like overthrowing your old masters, I can recommend that you try my game as well ;)
@hare-software Ah, I see the fellow frenchie in you :p
I'm doing just that right now!
Great job! Very atmospheric game, the original story, unbanal realization of the theme. I enjoyed the game, thanks. :)
I do not have any technical comments: bugs, improvements, additions ... everything looks great. But regarding the story - the possibility of choice is good, but who would go to submission (or coexistence) with a species for which you are only a food source, having the opportunity to destroy it? Vive la révolution!
P.S. The vampire theme turned out to be popular in LD44. XD
Awesome, I loved the story! The whole game was jut a bit short maybe
@hugimugi7 Thanks :) Did you try a single run or did you have all the 7 endings?
I see you are still missing some ratings, lemme fix that :D
Had to stop for a moment and just listen the music, it was so well done, as the whole game, great job!
Really a nice entry. A fine mood well fit to the them. SFX are fine and the story interesting. Sadly, at some point the game seems to be bugged and blocked (a character is incomming and the usual dialog popup is not raised. Thank you for this game
@shubart What a shame, we never had any known issue so far ^_^ Was it on the Linux version? Is it reproducible?
@xahell, this was on windows. A reproduced it twice. :(
@shubart Most unfortunate :/ I don't think we will be able to fix a bug occuring on a single machine without running many tests, and who got time for that ^_^
Well, thanks for letting us know, and as I said, keep going with your engine :)
I played it three times and got three different endings. Good times. Question, though: is the game wholly deterministic based on your choices, or is there a random element?
@ryusui Thanks for playing :) It's fully determinstic, you can perceive it as a narration tree with some nodes being present on multiple branches.
Is it morally good to help thy oppressor? What god of mine would punish me for killing demons?
Interesting theme for a game, you've flipped the LD theme on its head by refusing for your lives to remain currency. The crowd chants and music keep the energy up. I think the shortness of the game works in its favor as well, much longer and it would feel artificially drawn out.
Wow, very well made game. Good job!
It feels really refreshing to play a choice based game which is narrative as the crowd, the people, instead of one character! The combination of music and visuals really help the mood. The chanting of the crowd is chilling. :P I'd play a longer version of this story!
Thought provoking. Great music. Great analogy to real governance too. I like the fact that it makes you think about rioting, protest, calling for social change, and the consequences of small choices within that domain.
This idea is pretty clever! The idea of a riot simulator is interesting, and it'd be curious to see that taken further.
A very nice little interactive story. Love the multiple endings and the graphics and audio are great.
really cool idea and game
I really like it a lot. I think the art style and music are very pleasant and fitting. It feels "whole". I played it a few times but some choices are not morally acceptable to me, I guess there would be more of a struggle if, for instance, moral was a ressource to manage that shouldn't get below a certain point. But the again, i *really* like it.
Well done!
