LD53 — Delivery

Drone Diner Dash by Lex 2023-05-06T15:55:35Z

Fun game. I thought the physics was done pretty well. The way everything on the plate moved felt pretty balanced and it was good how the drone didn't feel slippery either. Learning how to control the drone and balance well was nice and using the triggers on the controller made it feel intuitive as well. I felt like the audio was well done too.

Machine Meltdown by Stefan Funke 2023-05-05T22:24:54Z

This was pretty nice to play. The controls definitely feel better on controller. I noticed the character takes a small bit of time to stop even after releasing the keyboard movement input but that's just a minor thing. Overall, the attacking, dodging and movement felt responsive and was nice to play with. The art is great as well!

RELEASE THE MEAT by NuiN 2023-05-05T20:00:01Z

That was actually quite a bit of fun. It was nice trying to customize the vehicle for each level. I've always enjoyed these cart/vehicle builder type of games. It took me a while to finish the 2nd half of the levels but I think the balance of difficulty was good. There were some pretty funny moments with some of my carts too lol.

Carrie's Diner by Tommy Moua 2023-05-08T18:42:14Z

@lex Hiring more help such as another waitress was on a todo list but we just didn't have enough time. Getting the AI stuff down took a bit longer than what was ideal since I haven't quite done much yet with AI behaviour. Thanks for the feedback though. @stuembi Thanks for the comment. About the interacting though, yea unfortunately I started with not the best detection for interactables so I just stuck to it because of time constraints. It definitely could be significantly improved though.

Carrie's Diner by Tommy Moua 2023-05-12T21:49:54Z

@fuzzybut Yea we put the hiring menu in a pretty unintuitive place so that's understandable. Animating and moving the customers was also part of the plan but was left out again due to time constraints as usual. We did think about adding more npcs as well because we noticed walking could be a bit slow. Those things definitely will be put into consideration for future plans. It's nice to hear that the music is liked though. It isn't an original of ours but we're glad that we made a good choice when picking out the background music (although the sfx needed some work lol). All in all, this is our 2nd game jam so we're for sure taking in as much information as we can to improve on things and knowing what exactly to prioritize, especially when it comes to gameplay testing and balancing.

LD54 — Limited Space

First Home by Mocadium 2023-10-04T04:41:53Z

Overall a really nice puzzle game. I especially liked the music and felt it was quite fitting for the game. The art style was nice to look at as well. I enjoyed getting past the challenge coming from the cat and the baby as well.

Bucket Buffet by Don Fouts 2023-10-03T22:03:32Z

This was a nice short game. It was fun to mess around with the food.

Noah's Ark Destroyer by TheAxe316 2023-10-04T05:16:29Z

Nice game. It was cool to see all the animals fight as you collected. Seeing the elephant wipe out so many was really satisfying. For the art style, it was quite simple but everything fits well together. Music was nice and didn't feel out of place either. Good job on the game.

ROCKOUT by Nick Baggett 2023-10-05T17:01:00Z

An absolutely great game. The feel and visuals all around were very nice to look at. The color and UI fit well. I love that the theme involves Avatar since that's one of my favorite series to watch too. Lastly though, it's pretty cool that you guys even added multiplayer. Good job!

Starlock Defense by Tommy Moua 2023-10-04T00:26:58Z

@alfred-clark Thanks for the feedback. We just noticed that recently with the carriers recently too so we'll be looking into that and other bugs. For your last comment though, part of that result ended up in us not having enough time to make a proper tutorial since we focused too much on getting features in lol. Thank you though :).

Starlock Defense by Tommy Moua 2023-10-05T23:23:16Z

@ackbad Yea about the transparency, initially it was meant to be a stealth type of thing. Even we sometimes had a hard time seeing the ships ourselves, so we'll be messing around with that. The idea was to really make a good decision on where to place towers/carriers but we did think about letting the base attack, which we probably will do to play around with.

Gros épée by Courgette 2023-10-05T03:51:10Z

Great art style and music. I really like the style you went for. The gameplay itself too, it was fun just throwing the sword around at everything. Good job on adding some pretty good feel to the game!

FELL OUT by daveranan 2023-10-04T22:28:10Z

Really liked the art style and the music. I enjoyed the bit of humor that was put in as well :)

LD55 — Summoning

Poltergeist for Hire by JudJudson 2024-04-16T22:36:48Z

Like others said, it would've been nice to have more tasks but you can only do so much in a short jam like this. The physics was fun to mess around in the room with though. Nice entry!

Drawn to Summon by Tommy Moua 2024-04-20T17:57:07Z

@nardandas Yea I'm actually not sure about that. If the tablet and pen moves the cursor, it should have worked but I haven't tried out enough devices. Thanks for trying it out though.
