The walk speed shoudve been faster and i had a wierd dup glitch but solid game otherwise
Beautiful art style and cute animation of the character's legs in particular. There appears to be a bug with customers spawning through the walls though and some of the mechanics aren't fully working in terms of I wasn't sure where to go.
Very pleasant visuals. I really liked the combination of 2D and 3D graphics together! The overall atmosphere in the game is cool and cheerful. However, it lacks more mechanics, as there is almost nothing to do in the game. Overall, it pleased me ;)
The combination of 2D + 3D and the graphics themselves were very pleasant. Cool music was selected. Only the triggers were not very convenient. And also I wouldn't have noticed the purchase of new workers if I hadn't paused to turn down the volume, xDD. Overall, the game conveyed a pleasant atmosphere, and I liked it.
Loved the vibes and the diner was really well executed! The music was also fun haha. The hitboxes for "E" were very unintuitive for me, playing in the web browser. Maybe too small? Loved the art and variety of meals. Oh and carrying the people to the table was a nice touch haha
I pressed E when there's a hint but nothing happens XD, but I love the door effect though.
Cute game. The sound of cooking is a bit overwhelming and it is hard to pick people at the door. But it's a nice game prototype!
Simple gameplay, but it works pretty well, the art is so cute! And I found it a bit difficult to interact with some of the customers, and those guys walk through walls, hahaWeChat截图_20230504124626.png
Great start to a diner tycoon game, only issue is that it's really hard to get in the right spot to interact with things
Nice game, I wish I could hire more waitresses as it eventually becomes the bottleneck. But in general that was a good experience and the choice for the music was great since it kept me happy, haha.
Fun stuff, I love restaurant sims! I liked the 2d pixel sprites in a 3D world, the shadows make up a nice atmosphere. I feel like interacting with objects / guest was a bit hard as the interact option sometime just disappeared. All in all, great submission!
@lex Hiring more help such as another waitress was on a todo list but we just didn't have enough time. Getting the AI stuff down took a bit longer than what was ideal since I haven't quite done much yet with AI behaviour. Thanks for the feedback though. @stuembi Thanks for the comment. About the interacting though, yea unfortunately I started with not the best detection for interactables so I just stuck to it because of time constraints. It definitely could be significantly improved though.
Good serving game! After playing for a while, I thought I was about done with the day, but I happened across the hire help buttons in the menu and played for a bit longer. Even with more chefs and dishwashers, the bottleneck was really my walking speed when seating people, serving and clearing tables. Since there wasn't any strategy I could do to counter that, I do believe an element is missing for game balance.
Showing the customers to their tables was unexpectedly funny to me, with how they were so stationary haha. I liked the music choice too - very upbeat. The graphics are nice, and so is the game menu. Cool entry!
@fuzzybut Yea we put the hiring menu in a pretty unintuitive place so that's understandable. Animating and moving the customers was also part of the plan but was left out again due to time constraints as usual. We did think about adding more npcs as well because we noticed walking could be a bit slow. Those things definitely will be put into consideration for future plans. It's nice to hear that the music is liked though. It isn't an original of ours but we're glad that we made a good choice when picking out the background music (although the sfx needed some work lol). All in all, this is our 2nd game jam so we're for sure taking in as much information as we can to improve on things and knowing what exactly to prioritize, especially when it comes to gameplay testing and balancing.
