hi torc

Pretty cool gameplay. It is a bit frustrating when you die and lose all the upgrades, maybe losing all points collected would be more acceptable for me. But overall, it is a great entry.

Just a heads up, it took me like five minutes to figure out how to leave the hub area for the first time, so if you watch my gameplay footage, just know that I'm dumb.

First things first, the graphics are incredible. The fish eye (?) perspective gives this game a really unique appearance, and the smooth vector designs of the objects look rad. The sound effects are also great. I think it would be cool if the "pop" sounds of the projectiles hitting something had stereo audio.

I love the concept, but I feel like I had no sense of direction. The entire game I was looking for a win condition, and I'm just not sure if one exists. Also entirely not your fault, but I accidentally hit CTRL + W on multiple occasions, closing the tab in firefox and losing my progress. I think I rest my pinky on the CTRL button when using WASD, so I unintentionally press it often.

In the style of the old-ludum dare website, I'm awarding you with the **Coolest Perspective** award:

@100th-coin this is incredible, thank you. i've decided to break the no-text gimmick and edited the description here to better temper expectations

Always such a joy to play your games!

After like 15 minutes I felt like I was lacking some motivation to continue, but hey, that's already way above average playtime of games at jams (sometimes I remember your game "break the tower" and feel terrified for what you can actually do at jams in terms of scope...)

Thank you for creating this delightful experience.

awalone 2026-04-21 21:51

I remember you .

pollykarm 2026-04-22 04:37

Interesting gameplay, but some kind of minimal tutorial is missing. I liked the sound and visuals.

mofox 2026-04-22 09:32

This game is perfect! It has the same style with windowkiller and I found they belong to a same person! I play this game for half an hour. It is delicate, small but fun. This game gave the best interaction experience. I feel so comfortable to play. Its sounds and visuals are also attractive. Nice work.

kit-gorn 2026-04-22 11:41

I really wish the controls were more precise. When I first played, I didn't understand how to scan, so I just wandered around the map blindly. Actually, it turned out to be a pretty effective strategy since no one attacks you. I only figured out how to actually play after reading the comments. The game looks quite stylish. I liked it.

rubatotree 2026-04-22 15:27

The graphics style is unique and so cool! It's so impressive to me, which is simple but clear for this game, and the fisheye perspective is really really cool.

jezzamon 2026-04-22 15:47

Yeah - I think I agree that uh some text explaining the game would be good - it took me a while to understand what was going on.

I liked the flow of the game! Well polished as usual!

placeholders 2026-04-22 16:30

so cool torcado, the mood was so solid, i was immersed instantly, the styling is amazing and I appricate the mystery of the game, from nothing to guide you to even your itch page design that lacks of any explenation, i dig it, congrats!

psevdonim 2026-04-22 16:56

I can genuinely call this a game. It was actually interesting just to play.

This was the max I was able to go after trying a few times. Pretty interesting game all things considered

I'll be honest, I probably still don't know everything about this game, so I'll just talk about what I think I know for sure lol. I do like how you took the theme with this game. While there's the signal that makes part of the map visible, the real signals that you need to watch out for are the indications of walls in the environment. Let it because you bump into them or because you shoot at them like echo location with a bat

As a result, the game was atmospheric as all hell with great minimalistic visuals to match. I know nothing about shader work, but I will say that I think this game looks positively beautiful with how the world wraps around itself so to speak.

I thought it was an interesting design decision to have enemies only spawn when you use the signal power, but that aspect of the game just felt kinda underutilised imo. Enemies never really spawned much at all in all the times I played the game and I dealt with them swiftly either way. I also kinda wish that you had some way to recover your signal power. Maybe there's already one but I suppose I couldn't find it lol

All in all, this is an intriguing little exploration game. Great job on this

Good quality, that's a really high standard. I loved the visuals and sound, and exploring this world was fun.

nathmate 2026-04-23 12:49

Really interesting minimalist game. It was a bit frustrating at first but there were enough visual hints that I believe I saw what there was to see. I had the sense of being a feeder fish at the bottom of a vast ocean.

Super cool visual effects and fun upgrade system! Took me a bit to figure out the controls and how to enter/leave the hub (I guess you're trying to keep things minimal, but it is a bit frustrating).

Would love to see more incentive to explore further away from the hub (perhaps some far away structures with special enemies / upgrades), since currently you can just explore a bit then return and reset everything.

Also wonder how this would feel if the enemies were always present, and not just in spots that you scan..

Overall great work on this!

pipetto 2026-04-24 08:12

A very interesting concept - I liked it, good job. At the beginning, I really felt the lack of information on how to play.

ismael-rodriguez 2026-04-25 00:56

I think the minimalist instructions experiment is double edge - In one hand it creates curiosity for exploration, but I have no idea if there is anything worth exploring for (seems like it's just collecting currency for upgrades). The overall visual style and effects are great though.

wdebowicz 2026-04-26 20:18

quite unique entry, cool concept!

picross 2026-04-27 04:56

Super interesting. The shell shader for the depth trick works really well here. Super atmospheric with just a few sounds and graphics, love it - reminds me of playing games like Tunic and Metroid. I got really OP and was just blasting through levels at the end, it was fun. I actually think it could be cool to have an ending, or some north star to keep ur little dude pushing forward. Like searching some creepy pulsing signal or something. Fantastic work!

Also, for some odd reason, perf started degrading after about 20 min or so on firefox, but that could just be a weird firefox thing...

yorsh 2026-04-27 23:03

That's a very interesting game ! It has a unique look, a cool mood and it feels very polished. It's a bit confusing at start but it kind of goes well with the vibe. I love that the reveal effects count is show as a trail, cool idea. Great work !

t-c 2026-04-30 04:44

As always, polish is top notch on everything you create. Super impressive! The controls were great, the gameplay was smooth, and you built something that was genuinely cool to explore. Really liked the reveal mechanic, I think there's a ton you could do there. Nice work!

local-minimum 2026-04-30 19:10

I really respect the wordless game trying to make you understand as you play. I think, it might have been a bit too vague or hard for me to fully get how it is supposed to be played. In the end I figured out quite a few of the meters but it became a loop of explore some, run out of fuel, reset. And that loop felt like it didn't really leave room for too many mistakes, which given how purposefully non-verbal the game was, made it feel slightly hopeless.

The graphics was really neat, the controls worked well and the enemy behavior was interesting. So it had a lot of good stuff going for it. Just give me an easy mode

Another great entry!

ciaranw 2026-05-05 22:40

Nice! Very well polished and gave a good feeling of exploration. There was a good journey of discovery as I played through the game, with the gradual revealing of the different mechanics and enemies. Even the upgrade system felt like a little puzzle. The game is also very pretty - simple but powerful visuals (and the character was cute with the little ears). The small panic every time I revealed more territory was fun, I do feel like there was something missing with the gameplay loop. Maybe some reason to push further away, or some upgrade path which changed the mechanics slightly. I felt like the journey back wasn't as enjoyable as the journey out, since I was trying to just retrace my steps. Maybe some breadcrumb mechanic, or a less harsh penalty for death? Overall I had a good time though, I enjoyed the journey of discovery, with the very isolated atmosphere. The shooting felt good too. nice entry!

That moment when you realize the power of minimalism! Great job!
