A really cool little game, the movements are quite satisfying but still require a bit of skill, (I didn't understand right away that it was possible to wall jump 😅). The game style is simple but sufficient. Nice job 👌

Very cute game and I was well impressed with the graphics, The early game could do more to teach players how effective their jump is before throwing them into challenging jumping trials.
That said its a great jam game!
I liked the pixelly graphics and the light effects.
The controls on wall jump / landing were a little tricky and difficult to master, some coyote time, grid snapping for wall-jumps could be some minor tweaks if you were to continue developing post-compo
I honestly felt like I'd died more than 59 times :smile_cat:

Love the graphics and the suprise of discovering tiny creatures when landing at a random place
Tough but very complete little game. I get stuck a lot, is climbing or wall jumping possible? Seems like a no. This is pretty sweet and I really liked the graphics.e
I really loved the music. It's not easy but challenging
I liked the grabby wall mechanic! I'm not too good at these but it was fun anyway.
A very cute platformer. I generally enjoyed it, but mostly because of the cozy atmosphere and excellent pixel art, rather than the core gameplay. I liked how it shows how many creatures are left to collect and the checkpoint system. I found a small bug in one spot where you can run into a wall. I didn’t really like the movement in the game (I often got stuck in one place, hitting spikes due to the strong jump and lack of air control). I liked that you can climb walls and that there’s a double jump.Снимок экрана 2024-10-13 012759.png
Movements are a little bit too clumsy ... mainly for this type of game. Nice entry anyway !
The game is visually appealing and fun, but the game mechanics can be a bit difficult to master at first.
cute graphics! the controls feel a bit tough, but I really liked the wall jump!
this is a pretty good little platformer. It's a bit tough at times, but overall not too bad. Nice work!
This is a neat entry! The graphics are really good, and solid idea all around. The music and lighting helps create a very strong mood for this game and its environment. However, I found myself being confused a bit by the movement in this entry, which held back some of my enjoyment unfortunately. The heavy gravity, sluggish acceleration and rapid deceleration of the character make it really hard to input jumps correctly, and the jump/double jump being so much lower than the wall jump added further confusion. I think tuning the player to be a little more snappy and have higher jumps would make some of those tighter jumps feel more consistent to pull off. Also, as others mentioned, coyote time, buffering, edge snapping, corner rounding are all nice features to have in more movement focused platformers, which this level design seems to be intended for. I did find finishing the game and its challenges very exciting though, and I could see myself trying to plan optimal routes to each of the creatures in a full release. You've created a very strong base here, well done!
Nice game! My only concern is that controlling the character is maybe a bit not precise enough for a precision platformer (i.e. air control is really complicated, sometimes you think that you will do a double jump but you in fact do a wall jump, which projects you far from where you wanted to go).
I will for sure try to finish the game.
Cool game! I loved the art & level design. The movement felt a bit floaty at times, and the music starting from the beginning each time you respawned grew a bit tiresome. I thought those bits of trickling lava were ropes or something, so it wasn't clear that they'd kill me. A clearer flowing visual effect and bubbling lava sounds would help in this area. Still, fantastic stuff for a solo dev in just a few days, well done!
I am not that good at platformers, but I stuck with this one of a while! 🙂 Very nice graphics, moody music. The jumping was a bit tricksy, but that's part of the genre I guess.
Well done!
The game is amazing! I was especially impressed by the idea, and the visuals and atmosphere are top-notch. Keep making games, you're a true master at it!
The game looks beautiful and the main music is not bad, but I was not amused by how unfriendly the control physics are here and sometimes a double jump is not read for some reason, also the claim that the game is set up in the code so that when we collide with spikes, we do not touch the invisible hitbox, but just the junction of the sprite and it is very inconvenient, it is better not to do this.
I got it in 154.7 seconds! I'm very satisfied with that score :) I really like the art style of the game. I think the weak point was the feeling of the platforming, I thought the momentum was difficult to control, and felt finnicky when switching directions mid-air, the momentum totally flips. At first, it was also hard to tell what surfaces were dangerous. Once I got used to these things, this was pretty enjoyable! Well done
It’s done well, but due to the graphics it’s not entirely clear which objects are dangerous and which are not.
