The art and music fit the game idea, and it's a cool idea. But I couldn't get the "play" to start once the scene opened.

Very cool! A fun little mix of a classic platformer, and with some very cool ideas. I like the random placement of objects, and the enemy variety is phenomenal - especially the little spiked animals, very elegant design, communicating their 'twist' clearly. Of course, very jam game has a few rough edges, and I wasn't quite able to finish - but I enjoyed my time with this game!

Also, I spent longer than I'd like to admit just staring at this sinister fellah, haha: bear.png Love their design

Also the music is an absolute banger! Well done.

I found myself having a surprising amount of fun with this one! I really enjoy how short and quick the levels are, and getting the '?' blocks feels very satisfying. I finished with about 350 coins :D

Wow, great amount of content for a jam game!

Some things I liked:

- Different environments for different levels. The last level was especially cool. - Random characters like the frog. Idk why they were there but I liked running into them. - The boss reveal was pretty jump scare-like because I fell all the way down on top of him. - The ladder mechanics and verticality of the last level was really fun

Things that could be improved: - More clear feedback when you take damage. This can be as easy as flashing the player sprite white or transparent. - I never figured out how to spend money even though I beat the game. Should maybe explain that somewhere or just not have that as a feature to keep scope small. - I didn't know what I was supposed to be doing in the last level. What was I collecting? Why could I pick up the key when there was clearly a wall that should be blocking me? What happened at the end? Was there a nuke involved? Did I commit war crimes? - Gravity felt too strong and I kept jumping twice (right after I hit the ground I would jump again). Might be good to make it so the player had to hit jump each time instead of being able to hold it down to jump over and over

Overall, awesome entry!

I am a huge Super Mario World fan and decided to give this a try. Definitely difficult to navigate and deliver packages properly. I enjoyed the different levels, and the added ability to run, swim, and climb. I couldn't figured out how to use the gun like the instructions told, maybe you ran out of time for that feature, which is fine. I did beat the boss and win the game but like I said, navigation and goals was a little confusing. Keep it up.

controls are a bit too tight as is the camera to the character.
