Overall a great entry with good mechanics befitting the theme but the punching of the mice a bit hard and clunky
I found that using the mouse to control the aim makes it very difficult to maneuver around the holes, but I like this interpretation of the theme. Both the visual style, sound effects and voiced bits work great together. Nice job!
@widerhold Yeah I left the difficult mice-punching method (a single raycast from your right hand) in order to discourage direct confrontation with them, though you could say it is unavoidable in a few of the levels. Perhaps in retrospect I should have made it easier to dispatch them.
Really neat puzzle game with some pretty great mechanics. It felt a bit wierd to only move forward and backwards in the direction you were looking. Not sure if using wasd movement would break puzzles but it would feel a bit better
I really liked the style of this game. It was very unified, especially with the sound effects. The little guys had personality even though they were liabilities. I liked that the mice were absolutely deadly and that you could kill your own little guys. I thought the holes could have been a little more forgiving. I wish there were more levels since I think there's a decent amount you could do with these mechanics; they mesh well. Way to get through the frustrations of Godot and make a polished experience!
clever puzzle that could be expanded and have so many other "skins" applied to it.
the letter sounds are quite satisfying and it is cool that you introduce something new in every level.
the paper tear thing makes the visuals stand out.
moving was a bit confusing I thought however ... the tank movement along with using the mouse was a big jarring
This was a good puzzle game. I am impressed with how many levels you were able to make in a short time. I also found the controls interesting. I'm so used to using WASD that I really had to think about just using W and S. It made it even more of a challenge for me.
I had some fun with this, but felt that I fell into a hole sometimes evenehough I was still far away
@weglove duly noted. Hole colliders will be made smaller.
Although I like the idea, setting and game mechanics, the controls are completely counter-intuitive. I wish I could move with usual WASD movements. In fact, I had tried to press W and S all the time.
I really liked the movement in this game, I think most people default to making keyboard arrow keys, so I liked how it was something different. I think it controlled well but was a little tough during that big circle stage. I read how the difficulty was supposed to be applied to the punching but I did find that frustrating since I wasn't always sure WHERE the punch hitbox would be. I really liked the graphics and sounds, very lighthearted and fun. I am not sure if the people we are summoning are being saved or kill? lol, but again I liked this game. And dang, I just read this was a compo game, so very nice.
interesting concept, I liked the art style! punching the mice was rather difficult to aim :)
This was a fun little game, and you did a great job with it, especially for compo! It was a fun visual style, and had good audio implementation as well as a fun, simple set of mechanics! Great job!
Fun mechanic! Mouse punching is indeed very difficult, I think it could have a bit of a larger hitbox not gonna lie. Sounds are fire
